Since progress on the idea keeps stalling a bit, would anyone be up for having a GTP Time Trial series, I remember someone else here saying something about it but it never came to be(Im drawing a blank as to who said about it...). I was thinking a 8 week tournament with a time trial each week that would be activated from a specifically created TT PSN profile that everyone would add. The series' would be done via a rankings based points distribution similar to popular real-life motorsports(1st - 15 pts, 2nd - 13 pts etc).

Good stuff. 👍 Five initial participants thus far, hoping for at least eight people competing. I intend to make the thread for the tournament on Monday night, which will detail all the rules and regulations.
 
Yeah, that was me who originally coined the idea. I kinda got distracted by other games and real life things so I thought it would be best if I didn't try, rather than giving a half assed attempt. I'd still be keen to participate though.
 
Finally got that level challenge for Elite level 63 - helped being properly awake. curious thing though, I noticed yesterday when seeing who had got how far that some on my FL aren't showing any elite levels, when they should be.

I'm going to assume that it was the server fluctuations or busy traffic yesterday.

EDIT: order seems to have been restored, people now have their Elite level score against their names, except @Brend who is still at lvl 60...:confused:

Well I've just joined the Driveclub owners club, having finally got an excuse to get a PS4 :)

I decided to try the PS+ edition first, but it was quickly obvious that I'm going to love Driveclub so I upgraded to the full game immediately. Knowing me I'll probably own the Season Pass by the end of the week. The graphics are really impressive, the driving is my kind of simcade: Skill is required, virtual car driving skills from other games translate over, and good driving techniques are not punished.

I spent today on the T300+T3PA combo, and while it wasn't anywhere near the FFB quality of a decent PC sim it was perfectly driveable. I might also give my T500+TH8A combo a try at some point, to compare and contrast. Shame Driveclub apparently only supports sequential and not full H-pattern though...

P1 GTR has the same twin turbo V8 and KERS system as the road car, but both are boosted so it now develops a combined 1000hp. DRS is still there as well from what I read.

This weekend I was in the local store where the demo of Driveclub was on. Played for about 10 minutes and the driving felt familiar. It reminded me a lot of the handling model of their WRC games. Especially WRC4.

Really liked it! Very impressed with the visuals and environments and driving model. It just plays nice and it's fun!

YES Sir! I have sold my PS3 and I am selling my PS3 games so I can have some funds to buy myself a PS4. I wait until september because I want the new CUH1200 model with Mad Max.

I'll look forward what GamesCom will announce for the price (pricecut?) of the PS4. If I have to wait until octobre before the pricedrop, I'll wait a bit. Driveclub will definitely come into my collection 👍

Yeah, I got fed up of all the in-fighting over on the GT6 threads at about the time DC came out - so the move was natural. Life is calmer over here :)
