@MeanElf Yes that is why I like the Drive Club forum- no thread after thread arguing like GT6/Pcars reading them. This is all very relaxed here and everyone seems very friendly and laid back.

@doblocruiser Well done đź‘Ť- you won't regret the move- PS4 is awesome in every way. I haven't really touched the old systems apart from the odd game since having PS4 last Sep/October when Drive Club came out. Will probably sell them but they won't be worth much so will stick in the loft with the other old consoles up there at some point!

Got enough wheels there? ;) Glad you are enjoying the game, any questions the folks here on this sub-forum are pretty good đź‘Ť
Normally the two are in different rooms attached to PC and console respectively... :)

Just for reference, the two wheels feel very similar in Driveclub. T300 is slightly lighter but you can feel subtle detail better, T500 has more power but is firmer. Neither gets used at close to full potential, but with both you can feel the car and the road enough to gauge grip levels and hold slides.

I was using 50% force feedback strength on the T500 and 60% on the T300, as a compromise between not too firm centering forces and being able to feel other effects.

I was a little worried that the T500 would be annoying to use since it doesn't work in the PS4 menus, but even that was easy: The T300 it calibrates once when you plug it in to the PS4 and doesn't need to recalibrate when entering the game. With the T500 you load the game using the controller (while the wheel is also attached) then it recalibrates itself as the game is loading, and works perfectly afterwards in game, buttons on wheel able to control all functions except for the share/option buttons.

Long story short: either wheel is a good experience with Driveclub.

Now updating. ^v^

Midnight updates are always a nice, unexpected surprise :).

The Renault Megane is nice - might even make me run hatchback races again on occasion. Going to try the other cars now.

Actually, for me it's the other way around to @Miths I'm not big on the hyper cars and some I have hardly driven - these though all handle very well and I quite enjoyed. they might even make me give more of them a go ;)

Not usually a hyper class fan either. Primarily super for time trials (on which I spend 80% of my time, despite my rather less than brag worthy leaderboard positions :)) and that plus performance and occasionally sport for custom races.

I love the P1 GTR though - very stable, very fast. Only done a couple of laps in it for now, but so far I'm a 100th of a second from my Zonda R time on my go to test track for fast cars (Japan AHR 01). Can't remember my One:1 time - it's always around 50/50 if I set a comparatively good time or end up spinning into a wall.

The FXX Evoluzione is okay, but seemingly not particularly fast around a technical track, and not really a car I imagine I'll be driving much. Like a lot of the Ferraris. Time to do a quick test of the FXXK now.

Well, I beat my previously best hyper class Japan AHR 01 time by around 1.7 seconds in the LaFerrari FXXK. But that was after three utterly terrible laps with corner penalties and unusual braking or off-throttle points. It's not as unpredictable as I find the Koenigseggs to be (hence I won't even try to speculate if it's faster than the One:1), but it seems a tad stubborn in its willingness to turn in.

Still think the P1 GTR will turn out to my favourite and most reliable car for those times where I want to dabble in the hyper class.

On another note, shame that none of the cars in this pack allow custom liveries.

The new cars are awesome. I just finished the new tour, and it's bloody fun. The Ferraris (I'm a Ferrari fan, so perhaps a little biased) are just kick ass. The sounds of both FXX and FXXK (how funny is that name?) are outrageous with a good sound system. So much depth in the sound, and they just sound like the brutal, raw, race cars that they are.

The FXX Evo is an animal to drive, and in twisty second gear corners, tries to swap ends constantly, but it's really fun to drive because of how alive it is. The FXXK is a little more refined, with slightly less brutality in it's chassis, but it's faster and can still bite when you push your luck. The Macca is really quick, and can be a bit of a pain to get the most out of the DRS system. I do like driving it though, as it poses a different challenge to the others. The GTR Nismo sounds very tough, and is great to drive in the rain. You can get the back end out mid corner, and the awd system will bring it out of the slide for you. The Megane is nice for a hot hatch, but in amongst the other cars in this pack it's obviously the odd one out. I haven't compared it to other small fwds, but it felt like a 2CV after driving the FXXK lol.

Me too.

Hate to say it though, as mindblowingly amazing as the newest car pack is (especially the Morgane, I just love that little sucker in any game), I tried to get back into DC and I just cant. The rain in every goddamn last tour event is just unbearable to me at this point. Its pretty as FXXK (see what I did there? :D ) but its like getting force fed with foie gras and the finest truffle chocolate, at some point you just going to throw up. Evo really way overused it at this point with no moderation.

I haven't noticed the ratio of wet/dry events in the tours/add on pack, but i tend to mainly play multiplayer+time trial and dip into the single player every now and then.Soon as there's a new car pack out,i tend to go through all my favorite tracks with them and set some decent times(hopefully) in time trial. Then i'll try them out in multiplayer events, but the new tour events i can usually take or leave. Now,where did i put that funnel+ chocolate liver pate?? :)

It is the thing that puts me off doing the tour events. More races are in the wet than dry! Sure put some wet weather in but not like 70% of all events.
