Someone told me that a free PSN version of Driveclub will be closed soon. Is that true? ( I don't have a PS4 yet)
aw man... *goes to the grocery store*Get your tomatoes ready
Full game and season pass was £15 last month. I'm not sure if it's changed since.aw man... *goes to the grocery store*
By the way, how much does DLC costs?
And the season pass is well worth it, a $75 value with tons of content .Full game and season pass was £15 last month. I'm not sure if it's changed since.
Usually it was £20 for the full game (if you had PS+) and then another £20 for all the DLC.
A Driveclub 2 and a new WipEout would restore my faith in Sony's first party efforts.I really wish that Shuhei Yoshida would read here a bit. I appreciate that a game has to earn money, but c'mon fella, this has earned and earned for Sony, even after the cuts.
I don't think a DC 2 is even neccessary. I like the idea of videogames being a dynamic and constantly evolving service type deal where I would buy a game and it lasts the lifecycle of the console, constantly being updated, added to and improved with more and more content. I feel this way about all games not just DC. I would happily pay for all the extra DLC and features that arrive for such a game, it's no different to paying for sequels anyway and at least the game doesn't get "binned". As long as the game engine is up to it I don't see why this wouldn't be possible, but whether gamers see it as desirable is another matter entirely.A Driveclub 2 and a new WipEout would restore my faith in Sony's first party efforts.
Yeah, they announced the second one far too swiftly. Even yearly titles should really be a thing of the past (with the possible exception of sport/season based games: even then, those could probably be amended into seasonal extentions via the menu....PCars is a good example where they have announced a sequel but I don't see why they couldn't keep developing the original indefinitely instead.

If they update the game so Fanatec wheels are compatible, then I might have to buy the Download version as the Bluray player on PS4 is so loud compared to downloaded games.
The DLC packs were utterly amazing, incredibly impressed. Right up there with the best racing game DLC I've experienced(This and MK8 are kings in that regard)
Oh god, please don't remind me that awful event. The worst car of the game on the worst track of the game in the worst possible weather = ferocious cursing 🤬🤬🤬You'll do it @Pearl Jam - carry on withy the other tours and jump back into the Venom event whenever you feel like it and it'll happen.
Not wanting to harsh your buzz, but there is a very wet version of that race at the end of the Elements Tour also...and the Elements finale itself...now that'll have you cursing.

Around a million and a half events It was the same for me with that damn Pagani drift event, maxed out both the drift fan accolade (I'm not...) and the Pagani one.Oh damn, that wet lap Venom. So much frustration. I think I put in too much hours attempting that by the time I got through it, I've completed the Hennesey accolade. I don't remember how many miles is that tho.
. Done it now...and where's Nixxxon gone ? I kinda miss his deluded rantsAround a million and a half events It was the same for me with that damn Pagani drift event, maxed out both the drift fan accolade (I'm not...) and the Pagani one.
Can't wait for that. The first anniversary of the game is coming up, I heard there's a thank-you gift.
Hmmm I wonder what that is.

Normally, I m done defending SMS/pcars but here I have to say that you two seem to miss some insight: Pcars2 will not be out until at least 2017 and they will rewrite major sections of the engine. For example, they will kill of DX9 support and implement DX12 support. This means that they can use much better, more efficient rendering methods. And they said that they will still support pcars1 and bring DLC for it for at least another 1.5 years, so its not like pcars1 was a quick fire and forget-cashgrab. In many ways, the game was getting better and better after the rocky start, just like DC... But unfortunately patch 4 was a cock up.
Lastly, they didnt really announce pcars2 in the classic sense, they opened up the doors for a similar public development of pcars2. People could join, have insight, test the early builds, have a say in the direction of the game etc.
*sorry for off-topic*
Looking at it from the other side: Personally I was very happy to be allowed to sign up to pCARS 2 development process as they shipped build 0001. Cool to see the very very first steps towards their new improved engine.Even if it's not a proper announcement the timing is certainly off.
It makes better sense to even murmur a PCars2 release AFTER the first game is fixed, DLC handed and everyone is content with PCars1.
Otherwise assumptions of SMS not caring, moneygrab etc start to come about.

pCARS is about community involvement. It's not like publisher-run development. And that aspect is really cool, irrespective of whether pCARS 1 is perfect or not.
But you see I'd just enjoyed 3 years of alpha/beta builds of pCARS 1 prior to signing up. Very different from Evo's traditional publisher-driven closed doors development. I'm paying out of curiosity to watch the process, the finished product is immaterial. But imagine if Evolution had started taking pre-orders for the a Driveclub 2 while it was still a buggy mess last October? You'd have just payed £50 and hear that they had plans designing the new game before fixing the game you've just been ripped off on.
