Don't get me wrong though, I love GT but man things were going down there.

Back to the Club now,

The Pacesetter Tour Pack has been giving me a good challenge and I just started it! Though it's not frustrating, I'm enjoying the extra tour packs. I hope Evo can release a 2nd season pass just as good as the first.

I'm currently busy with the Level 63 time trial objective with the Audi RS6 Avant on Loch Duich Reverse. I'm finding it incredibly frustrating! The best time that I got was 1:31.120, and I was so close to clinching it when I went wide on that large right handed banked corner. If the following objectives are harder than this, then I think I'm just going to splash out on that Renault.

I gave in ages ago  and brought it as I was so far behind with my levels and it was too tempting sitting there to be photographed and thrashed round, since then I have now caught up to your level- There are quite a few struggling with this- I am caning the RS6 which feels like flat out and still only 1.32 have a watch of Kies shared video as he has done quite a few guides and see he has 2-3 seconds spare!! Also have a look carefully at the sector times and where his is faster than yours work on that section- I will get there soon but I haven't reached the points yet but soon will do with all these double points being given away! I have had more challenges and photos that have taken my time more:tup:

Edit: I actually found if you brake at the first lampost on the left not the hedge and drop gears 5 4 3 at the same time manually as braking and take the corner as he says then you can save even more time there the same with the second/ third corner drop to 4th/3rd/ 2nd to power in quicker to the sharp bend than he does and there is another 10th there I seem to lose mine on that jump as one touch of the brake is not enough and I fly at the wrong angle ..Just need a bit more time on it but- It is frustrating as you say but achievable if you hold it all together! :)

I've done quite alot of that course. Once you get used to it you can go fairly flat out after the first 3 turns, you just need to anticipate the small rights and lefts turning just before them and you have to allow a little off road. Break just before the hump followed by the right turn and break and turn as soon as you land, then pretty much flat out again all the way to the finish.

@torque99 @2clicks It's worth to keep trying, I'm all the way up at 75 and that Audi challenge was the hardest in my memory!
The only tips I can remember is the first corner must be taken at around 50% throttle and you shouldn't put anymore on until you're right at the point of straightening up.
Obviously the last corner (the Laguna Seca type thing) is the most important because the straight afterwards is so long. Keep testing how fast you can go round that.

Good luck!

So I've just reached level 60 earlier...then went out to play golf seeing as is such wonderful weather here in the UK for October  coming back now and my profile has this on it ? Have I reached the elite levels ? Any help would be appreciated as I haven't got a bloody clue what's happening now

Thank you, but which race do I need to complete ? The Bandipur one that it's showing me ? In the Ferrari?
That's right, it's your first Elite level challenge - do a time trial in the Ferrari 599XX at Bandipur Reverse and beat the time of 1:11.500 to complete the challenge. Once you have done that and accumulated the points needed you'll achieve level 61.

Thank you Nato_777 so yeah I've just beat that time, now just need to get my fame up..cheers for the help guys

...Easier said than done  I will give it another go this week maybe on the wheel to see if I can gain a few seconds...

As @Zonda5 says, that is possibly the worst challenge (though I thought level 68 was rough too until I found the time.) Folks, if I can do this, you all can, so have faith and get to it when you are feeling rested and relaxed.

First proper go in a Bentley, liked it more than I expected. Really nice driving car and sounds great too!

(Yes I am quite far behind all you guys )
It's great taking a Bentley online as no one gives you any snash in one of those (well, they might try :)) - you can also beat ostensibly faster cars with it too. For me it feels a bit too much like a Rolls Royce tank but it does remind me of driving the Rover P5 which I drove a few times back in my youth.

I loved Forza Motorsport 3, but it is me or do Forza 6 looks awful after knowing, seeing and playing Driveclub?
It looks worse in comparison. However, I remember back to the Forza 5 announcement when that was the best looking car game out there and thought "how can they top this?".

I'm sure one day somehow Driveclub will look outdated, maybe Evolution will cause it with their graphical update this month...

Following on from my finding of the India Plantation location I have been doing some searching of the real roads used in DC and where they went with Canada next on my search. These tracks are very life like with Cayoosh & Sinclair pass real life in British Columbia Canada looking the same. Have a look round street view if you have a min and see with the signs/roads etc showing Lytton 130 miles :) I have never been to Canada so it is great to see the real views we are driving hundreds of miles on and some familiar back drops and mountains :)

With Forza 6, Turn 10 definitely had to do some compromises to achieve the constant 60fps the game is lauded for. As for Driveclub, the 30fps limit meant that Evo Studios can focus more in graphical terms without optimizing with a much higher and tougher-still-to-maintain frame rate.

Both games are good in their own way, (I haven't played Forza 6, I am planning to one of these days, but this is judging from the reviews) and cater to different racing game folks.

Boy, are we in the golden age of racing games. So diversified, and so many approaches as to how a four-wheeled machine goes into a corner.

Yeah, I know. Personally I have WRC 5; Sébastien Loeb Evo; and DiRT Rally plus coming will be Assetto Corsa and GT7 - but of course we still have Driveclub. We are very blessed indeed.

Need for Speed is back to its golden days too!

Indeed, I'd forgotten that one. I suppose I'll have to see how it plays first though, as I found the last few far too floaty for my taste :)

I hated the last one, Rivals (well, hate is a strong word, but I really really didn't like it) with its constant downtimes for the always-online sessions, and the fact that there's nothing much to do after the game finishes its story. I've loved NFS since Underground 2, and played all throughout the years until Rivals left a sour taste.

The new one looks really good tho, with the two years development period should make some good racing times.

Now, before I go too off-topic, would the Skyline GT-R R34 rumored to be in DC be announced this month? Here's hoping.

Blessed... but also overloaded.

A PC Steam user right now can own pCARS, AC, iRacing, Raceroom, GRiD Autosport, F1 2015, DiRT Rally, Stock Car Extreme. Not to mention Wreckfest early access and pCARS 2 alpha, plus rFactor 2 is coming to Steam soon. These are all "current" titles, covering the full breadth of race simulation. Anything coming out has to find a niche among that lot.

The consoles are actually less crowded, but of course the first party juggernauts (Forza, Forza Horizon, Gran Turismo and now Driveclub) are always going to have the polish and marketing power to outsell PC by a huge margin.

I am starting to think that GT7 is going to be delayed as needed to align to the release of the Playstation VR, to sell both VR and game, but also simply because the current wave of racing releases is saturating the market.

I suspect a number of these series/brands will hurt, some will be shelved, and this will shake up the racing market. Gran Turismo needs to find a slot to waltz in and take command of the market like it always has, or it will be one of those suffering. VR is probably their answer, and I suspect it'll be GT7's primary focus.

Driveclub is candy for the eyes, so much candy that it's beyond diabetes.

Everytime I do a race it always feels like I'm looking at something fresh, not always the same thing. The lighting, weather and clouds are just that dynamic.

Forza 6 to me looks good in its different elements but it lacks dynamics. The effects and time of day are prebaked and it really does take away from the whole experience.

Project CARS compared to Forza 6 looks slightly better to me because it's more dynamic with its graphics etc. However when you compare DC to Pcars, despite the fact that DC runs at 30FPS, it looks more polished to me.

I really wish that Shuhei Yoshida would read here a bit. I appreciate that a game has to earn money, but c'mon fella, this has earned and earned for Sony, even after the cuts.

Just downloaded the AMG GT from the PS store, but it didn't appear in my garage! Am I doing something wrong?
You don't know if they have more people working on the same car

.

Driveclubs replays are so much better than PCars very poorly optimised ones.
