Here's another perhaps more interesting question. I'm sure some of you remember the very first reveal of Driveclub back at the PS4 reveal conference. Back then, we were presented with a first person view, and the ability to seemingly walk around the car and take in all the details. So I wonder, is this still going to be the case?

Can I walk around the car, look at the engine, and then proceed to enter the car, strap on the seatbelt, and fire up the engine? I ask 'cause I haven't seen or heard about this feature since the first reveal. I really hope you can still do that, because it was pretty damn awesome. I want to feel like I own an Aston Martin Vanquish, and this would pretty much do just that :)

Yes as you can see from the 5 claves video above

Guys watch the "5 Claves" video and look at the car at 2:16 painted half gold, and half matte black driving in front of the Koenigsegg!!! That's a Peugeot Onyx!!! Wasn't expecting that!!!:cheers::gtpflag:

Gotta be honest some of these videos are making my Y Fronts a little bit tight.

I wasn't too bothered about this game at first and was more interested in PC but this looks great and I think will be a lot of fun, which then leaves the gap for PC and the race tracks.

Nice to finally have a great choice of games on the ps4.

Not bad. Reminds me of PGR a lot, and will like to support Evolution Studios so we don't use yet, ANOTHER gem that is developers from the past.

Quick question on physics:

How arcadey are they really? Are there options to make the driving more realistic, and anyone among you tried out the demo yet? *if there is one*

The Director of Driveclub confirmed that the physics are between Arcade and Simulator, making Driveclub a Semi-Simulator or as some call it "Simcade".

typical statement from the developers, a statement which tells really nothing. Imo will it be the kind of physic in which you have just to floor down the gas everytime and brake for turns. I don't think will you able to even spin out. A lot of fun at high speed. Probably very similar to need for speed. Off course just my opinion without playing the game.

However it looks stunning, i'm bothered by the nature of the career. I have no interest in online gaming, hope it can be fully played offline.

Get a feeling the physics are going to go down the Codemasters route - cars do everything that a car should do, but it's all 'dumbed down' to make it suitably accessible.

Thrustmaster T80 / T80 Driveclub Edition
Thrustmaster T300RS / T300 Ferrari GTE Wheel

From what I've seen in the many vids, you can and will spin out...

Full career confirmed not too long ago.

If it falls closer to the TDU/NFS side of the spectrum, I'm definitely skipping it. If it's more in line with Horizon, might look into it.
On Reddit I saw a thread where someone was hoping GT7 would be as fine looking as FH2. In my opinion, from the FH2 review shown, Driveclub already looks better and seems like it will handle far more realistically than FH2.

Quite possibly from what we've seen. It'll be interesting to find out what options we will have to counteract that trend, such as cranking AI ability up as well as realistic handling options.

Not had my eye on this game for ages but now it's about to drop, I've got way more interested in it and may have to try to pick up a PS4 by the end of the year. I'm not totally taken by the little graphics and icons over cars for match ups and whatnot that seem to be typical of such games nowadays, and the whole "seamlessly join an online race" thing leaves me cold (I don't have the attention span of a 5 year old, I really don't mind stopping and setting up a decent online race) but it just looks like tons of fun. I do want FH2 (and indeed Forza 5) also but it's pretty unlikely I will ever be getting an Xbone, so this looks just the ticket.

I do also wonder how the game will feel though, the "simcade" description is always very vague but something like FH1 would be fine by me. At least they can't wrongly claim it's physics are identical to regular Forza, like so many reviewers seem to be doing with FH2, just as they did with FH (take a bow IGN). This has no precedent and is all the more interesting for it.
