I felt something in my waters...which was why I went looking, but just a bit too early :) Appreciate that, thanks

Good that the first DLC is being given out free and the DLC reach has been lengthened for another month. That sounds great too, with 22 new tours events and those cars.

I wonder when Japan will surface?

PHOTOMODE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Most excellent, dude 👍 That's all of my time gone for the next month, and then I get to do it all again when the dynamic weather update lands :)

And don't forget to fix the speeds to beat sections. I simply can't get any of my cars up to 6578.98kph! Another hacked game that goes on the shelf. :(
You don't really need to beat those times, just those of your friends who play and other players close to your level.

It is annoying, true, but I doubt much will get done for the leaderboards before the full functionality arrives.

So the Challenges are still locked? I played the game yesterday again to see how everything works. Online racing worked fine but the usual destruction derby. I wanted to attemp some of those challenges but they are still locked?

Yes, sadly they are. In TT and race events however, there are other challenges which appear to be taken from the times/drift scores captured by the game from other players who are of a similar level to yourself: so, if you do say a TT there will most likely be two speed through the corners zones, a drift and a club challenge to tackle.

These will change and update themselves whilst you are on the circuit; so any challenge you see will be replaced by another once you have bested the original one. Also, new ones will appear each time you re-enter an event. They're a part of what helps make the act of levelling your club up, much more fun than straight TTs - it's a clever idea I think.

Hmm yeah I noticed that! Well I am Level 35 now and just unlocked the McLaren. What a beast! I used time trail and drifted the hell out of my car to get alot of points... Thats nice grinding lol...

Those challenges while doing TT are buggy though, I had average speeds for over 5000km/h or drift scores above 10.000 which cant be real... but those were more rare.

Somebody want to join my Club to gather experience together? I am only Club Level 9. My friend which I know in real life isn't really active and hes my only clubmate ... need help! :)

In preparation for photo-mode releasing this Tuesday, I will start up the official GTPlanet Photomode Competition thread this week.

One question: should we follow the same rules as the GT6 competition?

As in a thread for non-photoshop and another for photoshoped entries? Or were you talking more about the winner gets to pick the theme for the following week?

I don't see why not, as the GT photomode rules have stood the test of time quite nicely. If in doubt though, why not do a poll thread to see what folks are likely to want (I can't believe I just suggested a poll...)

Non-PS/PS entry threads will be created in addition to CCCL and Secret Santa competitions. Who knows, we might do a Tournament for the game as well. And yes, the winner will pick the theme for the next week.

Yeah a Photomode competition would be pretty cool for Drive Club!

I also wonder for the 5 new cars, I hope it's some japanese ones. A Nissan GT-R or Lexus LFA or maybe a Honda NSX :D
They would fit nicely!

By the way, is there any official place to give the developers feedback?

There is one thing they definitely have to change very quick! When somebody else bumps into your car, you get punished with the crash pentaly aswell... Thats not fair at all!

Looks like Facebook or Twitter are the only means of contacting Evolution, other than the direct links shown here: http://www.evos.net/ which pretty much link you back to FB...

I am glad I don't have a FB account as I would not be able to restrain myself from responding to some of the utter idiots who post on there.

From Facebook:
Improved multiplayer collision physics to reduce frustrating spin-outs
I know that says it's to reduce spin-outs, but it does look like they have looked at that area, so maybe...

I've been playing this for a couple of weeks now and I am enjoying it, however there are some criticisms I have.

One major thing that bugs me is that more often than not, I get a vehicle impact penalty when the A.I. hits me!

If I'm going for an overtake and I gain the position and that A.I. car hits me, I get given a penalty of around -200 points on average. I usually make it up again within seconds but it just really bugs me.

Another thing is I'm really struggling with drifting, the physics are quite challenging. I either spin out or just drift reasonably well but score no points.

Then the face off challenges where I have to average 2000mph is a bit irritating too.

Those Renaults are quite wacky in its own way, especially the Twin'Run Concept. It's literally the Domino's Pizza Car.

Also, why is there a need to have a 2013 M5 when we already have the 2011 M5? They're virtually the same car and series.

The 2013 M5 has a very, very slight facelift (almost unrecognisable) and the one destined for DC is likely to be the one fitted with the Competition Pack that gives a small power bump.

If you come across a car that has the number 69 online, then you should probably stay away from that car because 9/10 times that driver is bad
