nah but i wish it was, the analog works but it takes a while to get used to cause it is very sensitive. the problem i seemed to have when i was learning it was that my thumbs werent coordinated at all  since i wa using two thumbs on two sticks, one going side to side, and one going up and down, whenever i would stop paying attention i would end up using both analogs at kind of diagonal angles. i dont know maybe i thought if i did that id have like MEGA speed and handling, even now i have to check what my thumbs are doing every so often to make sure theyre doing what theyre supposed to

I guess I was already used to the concept since I grew up building & driving radio control cars when I was a kid, and I got my dualshock set up exactly like the radiobox with steering going < > and accel going ^ with brakes going down.

Chase view, manual, d-pad for me. I have permanent blisters on my left thumb it seems... least it's been there about 2 years now.

Totally variable, bro, that's the whole beauty of analog. That's right, no more tap tap tapping to get that perfect amount of fuel! You can hold analog at half throttle...quarter throttle, whatever you want. Same deal with the brakes-you can start into a corner with a partial amount so you don't lock wheels, and then stomp on them as you near the apex. That's why i'm mystified at the # of folks who use buttons. I tell you what: thos frickin buttons hurted my hands till i made the switch :)

I like the right stick for gas/acceleration, but it's too tiring for long-distance races! Besides, for the DualShock2 (PS2) all buttons are analog, including the shoulder buttons. My ideal super-realistic setup would be L2 for brake, R2 for acceleration, the left stick for steering and the right stick for shifting, but alas, it is not to be. Can't set the stick for shifting. :guilty:

More on driving style, though: I like hood view for GT4 (the chase cam has a crappy odometer), and I use MT, of course (which is why I care about the crappy odometer!). For the older games, I liked chase view 1, with MT. I use the standard X for gas, square for brake. ;)

same here, in gt3 and 4 i use the buttons (not analog) for gas and brakes but i still use analog steering. and in gt4 i havnt decided which i like more of the cockpit or hood view
