It's all becoming very complicated... Let's not forget why we want to change anything in the first place:
- Tuning has become an important part of the series, demanding a lot of time if you want to compete for the podium. Time that some of us don't have.
- Pit windows and tyre rules, weight/pp penalties has proven to be difficult for newcomers and probably the cause for some people to leave the series
- probably more?

I think the goal for a new format must be to keep it simple and make the races more competitive. So I favor the spec car races. I don't mind if it doesn't look good to have all the same cars on the track. Will be difficult to get all those cars though. Especially unmodified.

(And I don't like it at all to have a DTM championship with normal road cars. Personally I think that would be the end of the series. Or at least the DTM part.)

Yeah I agree symp and as you say the main problem with spec is the fact not everyone has every DTM car (stock). Which could prove a major problem and was the only reason I suggested the Road versions of these cars as they are easy to get. But I do understand you wanting to drive the touring cars as It's kind of not DTM with road cars.

As for the races I think 2 shorter races 1 sprint and 1 feature race (with pit) both starting on Hard tires (stock tires) feature race you can pit whenever u want and choose any tires sort of thing.

With No tuning you could have BHP penalties for winners to keep the racing close or just no penalties.

Damage - Heavy (of course lol )

Do you guys have all the stock DTM cars? their must be a way to send them to people?

And congratz Anastasia you have had the fastes lap time yesterday.

lol, I can explain that, you missed the chance to do the fastest lap in the fight you had with goruk in your soft stint. And it's Anastasis, Anastasia is a girlie name :grumpy:

I would suggest that everyone who wants to take part in DTMVI finds out which of the cars they can get onto the track without mods. I thought all my cars had atleast one mod but i managed to get the CLK and 190E on the track after setting everything to default (remember aero). Going to try more tonight. Once you know which cars you need post it on the forum so we know whatto lookout for. Think Goruk can help out with TTRs and A4s (ticket). Think the only way to transfer it is through a ticket as they have no value.

If you have an engine stage update, you can't revert back to your normal. If you have anything else on, you can revert it. in suspension settings and everything else there is an option set to default. You know those, right?

Thanks for that pipi. The M3 GTR is in the online dealership last time i looked. Going to have a look where i can get a lv14 ticket.

^ good news! So at least everyone can participate in an Astra. And with a little more work in the other cars.

Maybe we should let go of the team grouping. The team spirit hasn't been that big last seasons anyway. Yes, I'm alone again in the BMW team! :grumpy:

Got my vote also! In the current races, with an exception here or there, the cards are already dealt around the 2nd pit window. So 20 minutes for the sprint and 40 for the feature would be fine.

I need the Audi tt can one send me the ticket??

I can send you ticket 2moro(after 1am) you need to remember there is 15 different cars in this ticket so you have a 1 in 15 chance of getting it. So it is best to save your GT5 savefile onto usb when you have recieved ticket (do not open ticket). Once you have your savefile on usb start GT5 and open the ticket if you do not get car quit game and copy savefile from usb to ps3. Just keep doing this until you recieve TT-R.

@ JT I get the feeling you would like to see different cars on track rather than everyone in the same car. I believe tuning will be required for that to get cars equal imo, even though I'm a fan of the spec idea isn't going to be great to watch identical cars.

Also people who have time and are good at tuning their cars will never gain that much time. Most times when people tune their car to get the fastest laps they make mistakes because their car is on the limit. I always found that tuning my car to be stable and comfortable to drive got me better results as I was more consistent.

Yes the TT-R is in the ticket but there are 14 other cars in the ticket aswell and it will give you one car at random. That is why you need to save your save data to usb, So that if you don't get TT-R first time you can try again with the same ticket.

wtf symp and jt in the start I was keeping up with you having hards :embarrassed:
Did you have any lags?

I got damage from symp early on so couldnt keep up with you. I imagine symp will say the same.

Yeah im not a fan of everyone having the same car. Especially when you cant change change the colour. But then im not a fan of driving round on my own at the back either... I used to be able to put up some sort of fight in the early seasons but now i just cant keep up with anyone. Is it the A4, my tuning, the fact i dont have a wheel? All i know is it was closer when BHP was the limiting factor. PP sucks big time. Doesnt come close to evening out the cars.

hey my internet has been down so i'll send that ticket 2moro/later 2day tony 👍
