It's all becoming very complicated... Let's not forget why we want to change anything in the first place:
- Tuning has become an important part of the series, demanding a lot of time if you want to compete for the podium. Time that some of us don't have.
- Pit windows and tyre rules, weight/pp penalties has proven to be difficult for newcomers and probably the cause for some people to leave the series
- probably more?
I think the goal for a new format must be to keep it simple and make the races more competitive. So I favor the spec car races. I don't mind if it doesn't look good to have all the same cars on the track. Will be difficult to get all those cars though. Especially unmodified.
(And I don't like it at all to have a DTM championship with normal road cars. Personally I think that would be the end of the series. Or at least the DTM part.)
