Can anybody explain what has happened to Mat Jackson? His pace so far this season hasn't been as good as I was hoping for, especially as they were developing the car so well towards the end of last season.......

Random question, Im off to Thruxton for the BTCC next weekend and was wondering if anyone thats been there knows where the best place to watch the action is? 👍

I used to sit at turn 1, so you just saw the final corner, start and first and second corner. Not been there for some time so it may have changed...

Second episode (Donington) of Welch's Paddock Pass series is up:

A hefty chunk of bad luck for Welch it seems. :(

At Thruxton there's 3 main places that provide the best viewing. (There's also, handily, 3 BTCC races.) The grey shaded part of the map below is the viewing area - only about a third of the track. Excuse me whilst I photowhore.

The first is at the final chicane. This is very popular with photographers so you may have to be patient or early to get to the front. You'll be able to see cars appearing over Woodham Hill and disappearing down the main "straight". Some cars will bounce through here on 2 wheels if they hit the kerbs hard enough.

The second is on the outside of the main straight/Allard. This is where Liam Griffin had a chunky accident last year. You can see from the start line to about halfway to Cambell.

The third is down at Campbell/Cobb/Seagrave (collectivly known as the Complex). There's almost always action here, especially in the support races. You can see the cars entering Campbell through to the run towards Noble.

One last note - if the weather is like last year (lashing it down with a constant wind), make sure you're wrapped up warm and wearing waterproofs - wear more layers than you think you'll need. The preveiling wind blows from Church straight across the airfield and into the spectator area, so you'll be facing into the wind regardless of where you view from. Even if the weather is fine take a coat - it's an airfield, and as with all airfields there's no shelter from the wind.

Did we have any info on boost level after the first 2 set of races ? If I remember right they said they gonna change it after the first 2 meeting right ?

Only if cars were too slow or too quick. Not heard anything yet

There are no official announcements on boost adjustments. The only reason we had any kind of accurate indication of boost levels last season was because Plato posted them near the end of the season.

So unless it gets reported or Plato decides to publish them again, we can only guess.

Can't wait for Thruxton, my fave BTCC track! Would love to go there one year.

Hoping to see Jordan take the points lead and Turks get some good results again.

Speaking of Thruxton, I don't think FF's will do well on the softer tyres, I predict a few blowouts.

As this is one of the few times I can do this with BTCC, here's Andrew Jordan's pole lap from last year:

TO-C doing a great job in a small team yet again! 👍

Hopefully it doesn't go like 2011 again and he gets poached by a bigger team.
