Fabulous to see Jordan take it, there was a tear in my eye as he crossed the line!

Also, to those asking about the NGTC Astra from AmD, they did post this on Twitter back in July. So at least they're working on something for next season.

That's the S2000 Civic they ran earlier in the season with James Kaye. Nothing about NGTC from them for a long time now, probably haven't found the budget they needed.

James Kaye had to pull out of some rounds because of an injury and some rounds because of business commitments.
At least Shaun Hollamby and the AmD guys picked up one last Jack Sears trophy for the Golf.

The crying shame for that team and car is that in the hands of Tom Onslow-Cole, it was capable of regular top 10s in 2011. But after Arena tempted him back (before promptly quitting for the WTCC..and then shutting down), they never really got the same calibur of driver behind the wheel. James Kaye seemed to have the pace at the start of the year but for a variety of reasons it never came together properly.

As for the Focus (I don't believe they bought a second one? there wasn't that many to go around in the first place? 1 = Motorbase, 1 = Welch, 1 = AmD and I think Motorbase had another to replace Griffin's at some point?) - I think it was literally a case of never finding anyone with a budget to run the car. Plus they never got the championship entry for it anyway.

Was thinking of this:

Not technically. Some use of google on my mobile indicates the AMD Focus is a ex Motorbase car, and and Nye actually owns his, reason he missed end of this season was that he was working on selling it.

Anybody wish they picked up a touring car game again, including the big wtcc, german dtm and british btcc and maybe anymore. Missing it already.

How would you explain the second S2000 focus that dan welch him self personally told me he bought for 35k to use as spares when I was in the finesse motorsport garage at Knockhill? So technically yes welch have a second S2000 focus.

I didn't know that, I stand corrected then.

I felt the final race was a bit anti-climatic given what happened in Race 2. I think Jordan might have had a bit of an easy passage to 9th throughout the course of the third race. If Jordan had been made to really work to climb through the field in the final race, then that would've been a thrilling finale.

Bit of a disappointing end but hats off to Jordan and Pirtek for winning the title. The real fight begins in 2014 with the title defence.

Just done more research, Nye was in selling process at Silverstone after Knockhill.
EDIT: Bingo Nye. Note it mentions TWO cars available.

Finesse Motorsports Cruze for sale as well.

Also unsure, but Tech Speeds ex Girling Cruze was bought by NIS Petrol Racing in summer, who then put it up for sale. I know its S2000, but I wonder where the S2000 cars will go now? Maybe there own support event? Or class in the BTCC series for Super Tourers that Cleland and co. run?

And after all that time, Andy Neate's Cruze also for sale?!

Further research also shows the S2000 Seat of Warren Scott for sale, and the Golf of Hollamby for a mere 45k.

Thorney wanted to run an Evoque but Land Rover didn't want them to because of 'brand image', I wonder if that would change if a team that has proven it can make a successful car was knocking on their door?

Nope, just racing to school or the local Tesco. :P
