Thanks for validating my point. It isn't a good investment for you, but that doesn't mean it's bad for everyone else, even if they only like 1 out 100 paints as long as they can justify their purchase.
Well, if you don't have to care about money, I guess paying $20+ for 10 of the same paint chip isn't an issue, and it isn't stupid, because what's $20+? Or what's even $200+ for 100 of the same paint chip? Even if that's more than twice as much as what you've paid for the game, as after all, you'd have bought the game even if it was $1000, right? As long as it's worth it to you, and you can justify the purchase, right? What's an issue, however, is if everyone just pays what it costs, without thinking about it. Because if everyone just does it, the people selling don't really have to rethink what they're doing either, and everyone who isn't willing to pay quite that much for paints, in this case, ends up being negatively affected by all the people who simply do fork out these sums without any thought. That's something not to be neglected either, no?
