Regularity events don’t bother me. They’re a good break and an easy win esepcailly for meeting benefactor expectations.

Greece on the other hand is certainly the most challenging of them all. I think the required average speed is too high and nearly impossible to meet. It’s possible to win the event but the remaing non-hairpin sectors have to be nearly perfect to balance out the points.

Hi. All. I wonder if any of the forum members knows how to do some more track side replay cams only so it doesn’t jump from track cam to drone cam ect. Full track action cams would be amazing.
Also some car sound mods would be good. Sorry but I don’t understand computer programming unfortunately. Many thanks.

There's no camera view that's entirely trackside unfortunately. When you scroll through the replay camera options, there's the one that swaps from trackside to various interior / exterior views and there's one that's mostly trackside with some drone views ( which gets annoying as some tracks you want to see trackside hairpin shots but it's drone ).
The other annoying aspect is when you scroll through the options, there's no description to tell you which one it is, I know after a while it's self explanatory but it's still another aspect of the UI which could do with an overhaul

The '24 Yaris and Fabia are my favourite Rally1 and 2 cars too. Not surprised Kenya didn't make the list of favourite stages...

Amazing value that.

Looking forward to seeing news on the next DLC pack, surely can't be long now? 'Winter 2024' can only mean December, surely. I'm desperate to see if any new cars are included, and if so, what.
I believe the recent interviews have all but confirmed a 2025 release for the winter pack, and the wording when the expansion released was winter 2024/25. I expect we will see an announcement in December and then it launch maybe around Rally Monte-Carlo near the end of January.

That makes sense, although I'm sure it originally said 'winter 2024'. That said, putting all the finishing touches to those beautifully modelled Toyota Celicas can't be rushed, getting those Castrol liveries exactly right and making the pop-up headlights animate the moving beams of light just right [/dreaming]

I'll take whatever I'm given and enjoy it. I've re-bought it for that price on Xbox so I can use the DLC, I'd only got the DLC on Ps5 up till now. Amazing value.

Same here. Hoping for new cars and VR update especially having the car sound in a replay. Fingers crossed not long now.

Has anyone tried wrc on the ps5 pro?
Any improvements worth the upgrade?

I know about upcoming gt7 update having a pro patch but most of my limited gaming time revolves around rally so wondering if the pro runs wrc any better.

Also, any rumours of wrc getting pro patch?

Not heard anyone with a Pro say anything yet.

The CPU is the biggest bottleneck for performance with WRC and the Pro's CPU isn't a beefy upgrade over standard.

F1 is a more GPU-led game which (combined with a dedicated PS5 Pro patch) led to significant quality improvements.

Ive had a dabble on the new courses (really enjoyed them too), and I cant honestly say there is a huge difference between the base version and the pro. Ive been distracted from WRC for a few months, and I can say in its current state its a delight, no graphical issues buttery smooth frame rate on pro. Im sucked back in again ;-)

The Pro's main issue is that the base PS5 is already plenty good for most people! And yeah, in general performance now is fine anyway, gotta give them kudos for working so hard on it over the last year. Pretty much every single patch there's been an improvement. They've just kept chipping away at it relentlessly. Give me that any day over a specific patch for a console only a tiny proportion of the player base actually have at the moment.

PJ has said as well that the game is CPU intensive not GPU and the pro doesn't have a massive increase in CPU capability so the improvement will be negligible.

I saw that but I remember when the ps5 was first out the Sony guy who built it, can’t remember his name, somebody Cerny or something like that, stated that the console can split work between cpu and gpu, if that’s the case wouldn’t the ps5 pro be able to send some of the cpu work over to the bigger gpu?

Apologies for the wall of text by the way.
