Proper 4 seater, or 2 people and 2 torsos?

If you happen to find one in Birtain, I'm not going to stop you buying it; I just think that you'd be spending more money than you need to on a car that isn't as good as the competition.

For £20k you could buy a second-hand TVR - Tamora, Tuscan or Chimera - and convertibles don't come much more manly than that.

Edit: Found a proper 4 seater convertible.

Poverty
Name one 4 seater convertable.
Peugeot 206 CC, Peugeot 306cc, both cheaper. Theres plenty more 4 seater convertibles around.

In the past.....

Trans Am had four seats, except the back sucked

Cavalier had five seats, sure it sucked but it answers your question

You need me to continue?

Well ive also ridden in the 206cc and well thats a boy racers car turned convertable turned womans car. Blazing all of those you posted are kinda what im looking for except that theyre either ugly, not sold in the UK or the M3 too expensive and wouldnt get insured.

Same goes with the TVR and they dont have 4 seats. Same reason why I prefer the G35 coupe over the 350z.

How about a Saab convertible? They usually have 4 seats and are fairly cheap.

Poverty, do you not like boy racer cars? The only reason I ask is that a modified Eclipse Spyder was one of the main cars in 2 Fast 2 Furious, and that's about as boy racery as you can get :)

with my cars the most I will do with it is black out the windows and uprate the brakes and rims. Also if the exhaust is too shabby or flashy I will replace that too.Oh and put in some high quality light bulbs into the lights.

So really no I dont like boy racer cars. I like cars that look nice stock and super nice with a bit of customisation

yeah you can pick up Saab convertible's cheap, also theres a few Volvo cabriolet's, hell theres even there's the Mini cabriolet which is a much better and nicer looking car than the Eclipse.

The new Volvo C70 (or whatever they are calling it) is sharp for a vario-roof coupe. But when compared to the Eos, espically when equipped with the 3.2L VR6 and DSG, the Volvo isnt nearly as exciting...

Whats' wrong Live4Speed? Carmella pulled your sponsorship of having her as your Avatar? ;-) Just kidding.

I don't know how long you've been on GTP, but for the majority of some of your posts are about what cars are considered "girly." Well, want to talk about "girly" cars, here's an old thread I created called "'Feminine' Cars": ( https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=46949 ). I bet you'd have a field day letting us know what's a girly car and what isn't.

Which variant do you think would sell better with the 2006 Eclipse- the Eclipse Spyder, or an Eclipse with a targa hood?

Why do you need four seats Poverty?

Isn't having 'blacked-out' windows pointless in a convertable?

They dont even sell the Eclipse in Australia? Wow, and I thought Mitsubishi was a WOLRD brand... That said, you arent missing much.

Too bad the only thing the Eclipse has going for it these days are good looks. Funny, its kinda the opposite when you look at the origional models. They werent horrible in the looks department, but it didnt matter because they were so fast.

The second-gen cars were definatley the best in terms of look and performance, and you didnt look like a total douche when you drove the convertable eddition. The Turbo models were fast, but unfortunatley their reliability was not as high as other Volkswagen and Nissan tubo cars.

However, the third and fourth gen cars are too watered down. They share too many pieces with the Galant, and it is a good reason why the performance of the car has fallen so sharply over the past few years. Sure, the 3rd gen model was their best seller... But you couldnt get me to look at one...

To me, this is a car that actually looks better as a convertible than as a fixed-roof coupe.

How much more shall it weigh though? The coupe isn't a lightweight, although the high-end powerplant's willing (it kicked my 2JZ ass).
