Economy system is a piece of ****!

It does? You must have a different version of GTS, compared to me. Because I can play any race I want. Wether it’s online or offline.

Facetious.

And when I had done all of the circuit experiences and driving school-things, I had lots of cars and ~10M credits (it I remember correctly).

And after all that you can afford half a $20 mil. car of which there are several.

You must be proud, I know I am.

I really dont get the guys defending broken and poor economics in games.
Of course we have to live with it, but games nowadays can patch everything with ease. So why not make PD aware of their flaws and maybe, if we're loud and clear enough, they fix it in some way!?
It's just a discussion to help the game get better...

So, why cant we do this without the typical "if you dont like it, dont play it" respond types!? Those Baby answers wont help anyone.

Edit:
Btw, the money and mileage system is one of the reasons I dont play this game anymore.
I'm at rank43 with tons of duplicate cars I cant sell and still without a single 15M+ car, so I cant even do the Nostalgic races.
I also will never run the money race, because that kind of grinding is just plain stupid to me. And sport mode is useless for cash and also butchered from PD (weekly races and poor track/car/penalty choices)

I always was a collector in previous GT games, but in GTS? Wont happen...

Let us sell gift cars and give us larger payouts for online racing.

Don’t make it stupid easy to get credits like Forza Motorsport does though. The economy in those games were a joke to me.
Too late to implement that now, as everyone who's deleted their duplicate gift cars up until now would complain!

To be honest the money thing only matters if you like single player. You don't get super rare 20 Mil cars in sport mode that you need to buy.

I feel like this hits the collectors and the completionists.

People want to complete the trophies. Its a natural instinct in owning the game.

I suspect there are many who cant or cant be bothered getting gold in the licenses as it is rather tedious I admit.

However if you see an uncompleted series like Nostaligia '79 and you cant run it then you are being blocked from content if you want to see it like that.

The way I look at it often is that I'm largely 'blocked' from winning the F1500 races (because I suck) and I'm 'blocked' from the Endurance series because my on and off ADHD prevents me from playing this for an hour and I'm 'blocked' from 1979 because I have no money.

So I'm not super aggreieved at this unlike other people but I can see why it annoys people.

Yeah, responses like most of the ones in this thread won't help anyone either.

It seems many people fail to grasp that all the evidence points to PD wanting to make some cares virtually unobtainable - at this stage at least - this is clearly their decision. Suggestions about increased payouts or decreasing prices are pointless, it's not like PD don't know how to make the cars more attainable, they just don't want to.

It's not like it's a bug, glitch or mistake, it's not objectively a game breaker, so why should they change it? You might not like responses like "if you don't like it, don't play it..", but the fact is, that is everyones right... and one of three courses of action available. The other two being simply accepting it and being patient, and grinding/rubber-banding.

I'm not saying the game's perfect, top priority should be giving some parity in payouts between game modes, and I see no reason not to introduce selling free cars. I'm less fussed about increasing payouts in general, or making things cheaper. I used the rubber band trick to get a 20,000,000 car, realised it's a bit of a waste of time for me, and have gone back to playing the game as I have every other Gran Turismo.

This grinding is nothing new. IIRC, I used to do the same in GT2 on some Red Rock Valley race to get a car that I could sell for like 700k credits or something. I think it was some kind of TVR.

Don't forget tho that the most expensive cars in the game costed 2 million credits. With the prize money for the race itself + 500k you get from selling TVRs, you'd get the required money in literally no time

I also feel like we will never be able to sell gift cars.

LOok at the resale on the cars you actually buy. Isnt it 33% value? Ie. $100k car = $33k credits back.

So how much value is a free car. NIL. I understand where they come from. There is an issue where people may hack cars onto their usb and sell the cars back.

They want to be the only controlled source of credits.

I don't know how you and others can remember these things, I haven't played that game in like 20 years!

The most expensive cars should have a constant drop rate regardless of the increasing volume of cars. Currently it just feels like my odds are diminishing with every month's increase in cars.

When I was nearing $20 million, I had a choice to mak about where to spend that money: On single one car or many less expensive ones.

Oh there is a third option: Buy the cheap cars in the Playstation Store for real money and that way I can also get a $20 million car.

So effectively they’re selling you time savers like some Free 2 Play mobile game

Oh also a reminder:

A Shelby Cobra Daytona in Gran Turismo 6 costs 4.5 Million Cr.

In GTSport its 3.4x the cost of above.

Please defend that.

Its arbitrary. I'm pretty sure the Countach was pretty cheap in GT6. And the Shelby Cobra was $500k in GT6?

A real one is worth an obscene amount of money these days so maybe PD wants to reflect that.

This is most likely what they want, and also what I am doing. Since the cars have been available to purchase I haven’t spent any credits but have bought 1 car (GR.3 Ford GT) I might buy the F1 car soon.

I now have 3 million, only 17 to go :-)

I just want to try the Ferrari in VR

I've got 20 million or thereabouts. I use it to buy a gr4 car I don't have and then do a 15 lap chase the rabbit around BMB check the car I get against what I've already got and then save the game.

After I've got the gr4's I'll start on the gr3's.

Takes less than 15 minutes and then it's back to Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 4 for the rest of my game time.

Never was a trophy hunter. Never will be.

The only gripe I have is not being able to sell gift cars. If they fix that, you wouldn't need to change payouts.

Edited: I must stop ranting. Turning into a very bad habbit

My only complaint is not being able to sell cars. Makes no sense to me... 20 mi cars would be OK if we could sell cars. Still, I don’t care that much about not having the super expensive cars. It’s like, when I was playing everyday, I was more of a competitor, not a collector. I guess that happens in real life. Racers and collectors don’t have the same cars.

If you're not actually playing the game, why are you collecting the cars?

I recall me and a friend running the Sunday Cup over and over again to keep winning the Mazda Demio A-Spec in GT1 to keep selling in order to have enough credits to buy the GT-R LM.
Im pretty sure you can get Gtr Lm by much more reasonable ways in Gt1. Also you were awarded with a car in earlier Gt games with a car when you complete a series. Again not the case in Gt sport.

I wish we had gift cars for winning Sport Mode races.

Let’s say it’s a Gr.3 race.
You enter the race, and a random Gr.3 car is presented as the prize car.
You win, you get it!

I guess I have 2 complaints. Lol
