Anybody gonna try the Vette in that race? I just did and WON!!! 👍 With SS tires. Had to do a little blocking of the other Vette on my A**!!! :D

Not bad for a 50 year difference!! Old vs New!!!

She's a little slow in the straightaways but on the curves & corners she handles Great!!! 👍

We're gonna need a bigger trophy case! :D 👍

Great going Brew, I`ve got up a couple of trophies for you that I`ve yet to put in the cabinet ;), you know what might be a good challenge, same race but with SM :D, of course if you get that I`ll ante it up to SH :scared:, and if you get that then  CS.

Since I`ve got you on the line and that @danbojte is sleeping I think it may be good time to discuss strategies for tomorrow. Found a loop hole in that god for saken Rules & Guidelines, this will only work if we start 1st & 2nd but the outcome will be fantastic for us, if we drive like in the picture
side.jpg
for the first two laps, go in to pit, come back out and keep it that way until the end then we should have 1st & 2nd place, if some wise guy pits before he`ll have to make one more stop, and if he pits after he`ll run out of gas, cool no? Now all we have to do is see who will come in first :D.

Wonder how she'll do on CS's. Looks like @Brewguy44 has given us the next challenge
oh NOoooooooooooooooooo :nervous: ,

Where the heck do you guys get all these crazy smiley faces from? Some absolutely crack me up...
A while back i had put a post somewhere I can't remember and asked for a wider selection of smilies, @Johnnypenso pointed us in some interesting directions and then I added to the collection, when I'm in a rush to find a particular smiley I google ex."hockey animated smiley" and check out the results. Here are a few of the sources, there's more because I've seen a couple that I couldn't find in these, have fun and this is one instance that using with moderation
shouldn't be considered.

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php is my usual go to site because it has so many and everything is sorted into nice, neat categories. Couple of mouseclicks is all it takes to bring them to GTP.

2nd to the Viper by 7s, C1 is running 1.5s a lap slower than the 300SL, going to be a tough one
I've been trying it with SH, finished 3x in 2nd under 1 second, 1x at 5s, tried different opponents, when it's the viper there's just no way, with the corvette I had a chance but I would have needed all my laps in the 1:31, this track is not the best for the C1, not enough power for the long lines, it is great though for the 300SL.

As we are working on our 2 project cars we were wondering what the lifeline of the EAG would like to see. We have a few cars lined up but we thought it would be fun and interesting to find out what you would like to see.

So simply put, What car would you like to see being restored?, How do you see it being done?, Why? Where would you like to drive it? Do you want to write the scenario for it?

Also, if anyone wants to try their hand at working on a project, the door is always open, the only pre-requirement is to have fun, the only job that is permanently filled is - Floor Sweeper, I'll let you guess who's got that .

I'll have a think of some cars & get back to you 👍

Are you working on any cars now? I don't wantto suggest the same car. You have 2 posted on the first page so are these next?
Yes, one on standby going to get it started some time this week), the other is already powered up, still needs a suspension and drive train, body shop guys are going to finish the job next monday.
The cars in the opening post are not the 2 we are working on :mischievous:.

If I may, I have 3 suggestions. Do with them as you may.

1. Pontiac LeMans Tempest GTO 64, widely considered as the FIRST muscle car.

2. Toyota 2000GT? (think that's it) from 67 or 68? Maybe? Interesting car.

3. @OdeFinn had an idea for FITT Challenge using the AC COBRA. Might be worth a thought. His idea though, not mine. Might not be bad, or use the Shelby.

The LeMans is interesting, it slipped my radar :banghead:, I'll have to look around to see if I can find one to restore.
The 2000GT we had one example in our garage come in
Crashed Toyota 2000GT for GUILD PROJECT.jpg
, not sure what we can do with this one, looks like a job for the scrap yard .

The Cobra I left out because it was already a tuned up car, my knowledge is not enough to know how much more power you could fit in an old car like that and not kill yourself or the car, it's so powerful for the size, think off it, 485HP, 480 ft-lb on a 1068kg 1966 frame, I know I could never drive that to it's limits in real life, and there was no abs on this one or any driving assistance, I'm not ruling it out because I love this car but it would be later on my list, imagine 8 cars like this, with some little upgrades, riding on Sierra with no driving aids on CM or CS? Just thought of something, could be fun having the Yellowbird and the Cobra in a matchup, survivor wins .

Thanks for the ideas, I think PD did a good job at putting in a wide variety of cars to toy around with, my wish would be to add cars like this...

Hmmm, I'll put my thinking cap on & see what I can come up with. You'll have to forgive me if I favor the premiums over the standards. I feel it ads so much more to the experience.

i totally agree about the premiums, I just hope they'll keep updating a few on the next version, as for your ideas on some cars, that should be very interesting, NO GT3 please .

Those guys are amazing, much higher on the insanity scale than the rest of us riders :) They certainly have big ones tucked away down there to be going at it so hard on a public road, potholes, drain covers and painted lines everywhere. Without doubt the bravest and craziest guys on the planet that lot 👍

BTW Butt-Cam is a very informative little addition to the broadcasts. It let's you see how the pros use their bodies to help manipulate the bikes COG for braking, cornering and accelerating 👍 Handy if you ride :D

I reckon the lunacy comes from not only the surface as you mention but what's waiting for you at the edge of the tarmac! A well manicured hedge must seem comforting when compared to a stone wall or an unannounced visit to a local residence. The absolute standout for me is, these guys trust their own ability, no question about that at all. What leaves me cold & shivering is their faith in their mechanics & all the components that make up their bike. If the engine decides it doesn't need oil anymore & dumps it under the back wheel....:scared:
Finally, I'd like to add this. As a Truck driver, anyone who rides a bike on the road deserves a pat on the back for bravery from me
The lunatic things some car drivers do in front of me astounds me to the core. If they're doing that sort of stuff in front of something that can send them to hospital or the morgue, what do they care about a bike rider they have the potential to seriously injure or worse
Take care out there. Everyone has a licence, not everyone drives like they deserves it.
