Most states have laws prohibiting manufacturers selling directly to consumers. It's believed that dealerships increase competition and contribute more to the community.
 
Perhaps he'll u-turn like he did with Aaron Rupar but it looks like he feels there's clearly no need to worry about optics while you have a blue check army ready to celebrate and validate your every dick move.
