Season continues in Suzuka!
After great race in Germany to start the season, we head to Japan,
Suzuka.
Tight, technical track will be difficult for everybody.
Some drivers will hope to improve on last race, or keep good momentum going. Some of the drivers will make their season debut this weekend.
Gr3
Audi took the first win of the season, with
jonirune91. Finnish driver showed solid speed in quali, but after good start, he improved lap after lap. Even after teams miss calculation with fuel, he was there to pick up the win after leader retired. His 3rd win, first since Season 5, and first time ever championship-leader.
His teammate
sota59 was behind him all race, but after unplanned pitstop late in the race, was relegated to 3rd in the end. Great points for team, and both drivers.
Porsche had good start to the title-defense.
farin79 got great 2nd place to start the season, even though being bit lucky in last couple laps. Fastest lap shows he has speed. He is hoping for another podium in Suzuka, maybe even fight for the win.
TaZZ_1990 was solid yet again, was able to fight for podium places opening laps, but again later laps, pace again dropped, and was not able to make it double podium for Porsche. He heads to Suzuka without any ticks, so he will be one to watch.
Nissan only has one driver, German
Ulbreaker. After mistake his car was found to be overweight and underpowered post-race, after finishing lonely 5th. He will miss the Japan-trip, but could be black horse when he returns, with faster car.
Mercedes had it all, but lost it all.
Kobr4_21 started from pole, had solid lead, but starting last lap, technical problem striked, and he left Germany with bitter DNF. Positive note, is that in Suzuka he has lighter car than his closest rivals, so he should be there to take a win.
His teammate
Wraith0410 missed start of the season, but team is hopefull that he will be there to help them to catch rivals in points.
Gr4
Honda took the win, their 38th overall.
Road2FURY's 5th career win take him to championship lead. He was head and shoulders ahead of everyone from start to finish. Will be exciting to see if he can keep this going in Suzuka.
His teammate
Locke made return to GT-MES, and as expected was off the pace, but had plenty of positives to start the season.
Renault had great debut.
missedapex420 gave them their first podium, with impressive 2nd place. Is he championship contender?
Reigning Gr4-champion
Nils had to miss the race, but he will be favorite to win in Suzuka, after previously winning twice there. Beating him would be quite a statement for rest of the season.
Ferrari returned with solid podium. Rookie
RappyThePro was able to drive to podium, even after pre-race drama. He has told he is not so good in Nurburgring, so we expect even more from him next races. He might miss Suzuka.
Benjeet will make his season debut, and he was proven to be fast driver, so we could see him in fight to win. Let see....
Aston Martin's veteran driver
Emilius73 missed the podium after early pitstop, hopefull he can get on the podium next race.
His teammate
RafaHellFerz missed season opener, but is hoping to make to the grid in Suzuka.
