[Endurance] 2nd Akasaka Grand Prix - The Successor to Trial Mountain 2 HoursOpen

I see no reason why it shouldn't. It is, as you say, a production car as there is obviously more than a few in circulation, albeit one definitely more focused on trackdays. It even seats two.

also the 500 class is ballin', half the field will be in one of those.

I saw Harsk in one of them on the open practice lobby and I knew everyone was going to catch on.

No, there were people in LM55s so I couldn't see if he had the fastest lap, and I was focussing on launch starts.

Edit: @rallymorten you've forgotten to mention launch starts in the first post.

I'll work that in alongside the schedule.

I believe everyone here was fine with the room opening a little before 8 PM CET, followed by a short qualifying and the race immediately after that, looking at finishing it somewhere around 10:30?

People actually think about using LM55s? Well, consider me surprised. Guess there's a plus that some VGT cars can take advantage of... But fair enough, thanks anyways for the response. I just have to trust my own skills and the setup I'm using for this, nothing more and nothing less.

Nah, those were a bunch of randomers who had no clue what we were doing, didn't feel like asking or didn't read the room name and thus turned up in whatever they felt like, tuned however they felt like.
I remember having a perfectly normal conversation about 0-60 times when someone in an Audi R8 came along and said "I'm getting 2.8" I asked him what class he was in and got all confused  he had 1000 BHP

Don't we all love people with no clue of what's going on around them?

After you'd left, this one randomer (pretty sure it was the LM55 person) wanted to race so bad he left after about five seconds of me not pressing the button to start a race. But wasn't it actually a Free Run room, now that I think of it?

Provisional schedule, qualifying and start procedure added to OP.

I'm assuming it'll be a standing start.

Correct. A standard issue standing start with false starts.

Cue the 680s trying to get off the line without too much wheelspin.

"Gran Turismo national anthem"

Moon Over the Castle?

Yes.

Every motor race with respect for themselves plays the national anthem of the host country before the start, and because Trial Mountain is located in Granturismostan, that's what I'll try to play through my mic. A shortened version, yes, but MOTC.

And I'm assuming the national anthem for the winning driver(s) afterwards? :)

Ah yes, the perks of an open lobby... And people wonder why players are so concerned with an organized online experience, because people think every lobby is a drag race lobby even when we are racing in an actual track. The poor fools...

Moon Over the Castle?

Nah, the anthem that should be played both at the beginning and at the end of the race should be this one;

Or maybe just at the end, when the top dawg crosses the finish line, I dunno. :P

PEGI 3

I've never really liked how PEGI rate a game but not based on the soundtrack. Guitar Hero World Tour censored every piece of vulgar language and still got rated a 16.

I've opened a practice room, the ID is 1472-4711-0167-3384-0623.

Feel free to come in.

Closed. I've got some interesting information for my race strategy :)

Guess I was a few minutes too late.

I've created my own. Can be accessed either through the club or just by searching for lobbies on Trial Mountain.

Morten, could you overwrite my car choice "Lotus Europa Special '71" to "Light Car Company Rocket '07", if possible? Is because I would like to race in 500PP class, with the LCC Rocket.

@rallymorten

Three hours, I'm afraid, is not possible. This is already going into the (relatively) late evening hours over here, pushing it that far will put this entire side of the pond past midnight before we're done.

We *could* push it about one hour (courtesy of @Niku Driver HC needing dinner) if everyone's fine with that, but not much more than that.

For me one to two hours is the best possible delay. I usually have dinner at 8:00PM (local GMT time, mind you), but I could shave an hour off that and eat at 7:00 or 7:30 PM. I could also eat at 8:00 if the race started at 9:00PM, but with 2 hours of racing, it'd be almost midnight by the time the race finished (if no issues popped up beforehand that is).

Not to mention this is what I can do. Others who have real-life jobs and/or different timezones to think of will not have the same leeway I have...

..aaand it seems my luck strikes again.

There's apparently been a small change of things over here, which, to save the long, boring details, means the national anthems are most likely not going to happen in the room (I will still post links to them when I post the results) and general noise levels on my end may have to be kept down. I am going through with it, but circumstances (and internet connection) might not be ideal anymore.

This is why I don't normally do these things - because there's a 99% chance of me being screwed, one way or another.

What do you mean? I might be able to make the race since my work schedule for Saturdays are changing.

So, less than a week to go (more like 6 days by now) and currently 13 cars on the list.. who's starting to get excited?

If things turn out like I hope they do, there'll be an official test session on Friday at around 8 PM CEST (so about 24 hours before room opening) to check the stability of the servers and thus whether or not it'll be safe to host the room in the Community. I'll also be using this session to test streaming, as I do plan on streaming the whole two-and-a-bit-more-than-a-half-hour from the room opens to the room closes again. Details tba, but not only would I imagine it could be an interesting video to put in the OP of The Grand Finale, it'll also be a nice fallback in case GT6 decides to stop recording replay after 30 minutes.

How good is a 1:25.4 for the 500PP class? On RS online with full fuel.

Edit: I didn't read the title.
