Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03 - pits every 15 laps
Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89 - pits every 12-13 laps
Nissan R89C Race Car '89 - pits every 12 laps

Setup: stock, old oil (558hp garage screen), R1's and max df 38/53

Best lap: 1'17.167
Average laps: 1'17-1'18's on R2 tires, 1'19-1'20's on R1 tires

Results:
1st BMW McLaren F1 GTR '97, racetime 5:12'03.347, 228 laps completed
2nd Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89, +56 secs behind
3rd Nissan R89C Race Car '89, +2 laps
4th Peugeot 905 Race Car '92, +3 laps
5th BMW V12 LMR Race Car '99, +3 laps
6th Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03, +5 laps

Only one race left now and thats the Nurburgring 24h for 200pts.

Cool race 👍

How the heck did you keep the Mac in check for the whole race? Even hotlapping in this twitchy bastard is tough...

I found an excellent susp/lsd settings for the car and even the twisted chassis didn't bother that much. With the right settings this car is pure pleasure to drive.

Nur 24hours finished (with the worst consistence I can remember of).

Car used
Amuse R1 (new)
No oil change
Nitrous (didn't used it but was there)
R1 tires
All Transmission and Brakes upgrades
Racing Suspension
Turbo stage 1
Racing Chip
Rigidity Increase

Only change done was the Auto-setup that was a 9

Total power of 305hp (ended the race with about 301hp), this is in the car settings menu.

VS lineup number 4:
Vauxhall Calibra
A4
SuperAutoBex GT Apex MR-S
Cusco Advan
C-West Razo Silvia

Won by 2 minutes...over the Calibra and about 5 over the A4, and a lot of laps to the other.

Total time of 24:06:35.235

Used almost all the time R1/R1 tires (I did somewhere a stint of R2/R1, but found it a bad combo) and pitted at every 5 laps (and changed to R3/R3 in the last pit since it was at 10 minutes to the end).

The Vauxhall Calibra is almost the same thing has the Opel one (just a bit more powerful and heavier), but it is much faster, since I know from other test that the Opel can't keep up with a Alfa (and I'm really faster then him even in that test where I onyl had 279hp), and the Vauxhall can be faster then the A4...

Also the A4 pits every 6 and the Vauxhall Calibra every 5, like I did.

My best lap in R1/R1 was 7:16.086 (and my best lap was a 7:14.856, and also my final lap...). With a consistence of about 7:18-7:40...

And it was a near 4.000 Km race...

So more 200pts to my list and my list now have 10 races left.

So my new total is 111.005pts...

Well done on the points as well :) :)

Thanks.

And well after that I decided to take a look in Sarthe I endurance and test something.

I was thinking in making it a Classic race, and use the Ford GT40 Race Car there (I know that it with the max power and downforce and R1 against lineup number 2 will give my 200pts and I'm almost sure it can handle well enough laps and be enough fast to keep up with the 787B and Sauber).

But I'm with big problem, this car is a bit tricky to handle and has really bad brakes, so someone have some tips or know of a setup for that car for Sarthe I?

I also tested the GT LM Race Car Spec II and it can handle well enough, but it's setup isn't good here too (and this was my second option).

Well maybe it was because I was tired that I wasn't able to do anything good, but for sure the GT40 isn't to easy to drive here.

Well if I can't find a way to make it handle better (and specially brake better), I will end up using the 787B for a easy win.

But this isn't for sure the next thing I'm will do, since I'm not a big fan of Sarthe and not a Endurance player for sure too (even if I only have Sarthe I and The Roadster endurance to get max pts in the Endurance hall).

Thanks.

Sorry I haven't got any settings for you as I don't drive the GT very much. Have you tried Duck's settings here:

Nurburgring 24h - 200pts. Race

Car: ASL ARTA Garaiya (JGTC) ´03

Setup: R1's, minimum df 15/21, old oil and 12200kms on clock (290hp on valuation screen)

Lineup:
Nissan C-West Razo Silvia (JGTC) '01 - pitted every 6 laps
Nissan Falken*GT-R Race Car '04 - pitted every 4 laps
Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02 - pitted every 6 laps
BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01 - pitted every 5 laps
AMG Mercedes 190E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II Touring Car '92 - pitted every 6 laps
ASL Arta Garaiya (JGTC) '03 - pitted every 4 laps (rears wear out very fast)👎

I thought that with the Garaiya this would have been a close race but I soon found out that I was wrong. The AI drivers were slooow around the Nurb and despite the minimum df and low hp I was much faster than the opposition. After the first hour I was on 1st place and never lost the lead. Fastest lap without draft was 7'09.172 and with draft 7'08.664. My laptimes varied alot though because of mistakes and average laps were around 7'10-7'20's.

Final Standings:
1st ASL Arta Garaiya (JGTC) '03, racetime 24:01'35.549 / 195 laps completed
2nd Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02, +2 laps behind
3rd BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01, +2 laps
4th Nissan Falken*GT-R Race Car '04, +3 laps
5th AMG Mercedes 190E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II Touring Car '92, +5 laps
6th Nissan C-West Razo Silvia (JGTC) '01, +8 laps

Oh and congrats for the Nurb 24h win, Han_the_Dragon

Congrats on a great win and more than that many many congrats on getting max points. You probably deserve a good rest!!!
A fantastic effort.👍 👍 👍 👍

Thanks very much nige and yeah, I could really use some rest now. The nurb 24h was a rather exhausting experience to say atleast.

can you save in the middle of a endurace race, if so how?

I'm afraid the answer is a definite NO. You can ofcourse pause the game at any point in the race. Some people have been known to take weeks over the 24hr races this way.

And Now I'm a 111.063pts (got my final 58pts from the Roadster endurance).

I can't say it was a easy race, but it wasn't anything near painful. Actually this is only 1 of the 4 races that I can say that are memorable. Those races where Cita Di Area Hard (both ways, in a Elise 111R VS an Evo Super Rally car), Opera 1000 Miles (mainly a '62 Skyline Coupe VS Corvette C2) and now this.

Here the stands of the race:
MX-5 NR-A (10000Km on it), 113hp, 130.15Nm (well the engine wasn't fully wear for sure since I end up the race with 113hp and 129.95Nm), the valour are from where you sell the car
Start on N1/N3 (changed at lap 1 to N3/N3)
All non-power, non-weight mods
200 Ballast [50 in the back]
Bttlefed Gear and Suspension Setup (I will not list this since this is just to give an idea of the race, and this isn't needed at the moment for anyone)
Nitrous [100]

Line up Number 1 (opposed to the number 137 that he used...).

Well I used the car in 5th place to do the first turn and get 5th, then keep up and tried put the 1800 RS out of the track (wasn't able to do it), and came in 2nd at the start of the long straight, then pitted. And was 26 seconds behind in T1.

Needed 11 laps to get the 1800 RS (was almost without Nitrous here), and decided to use the Nitrous left to get to 1st place (since I was second). I only used the nitrous at the start of the race and then in the long straight (I was pressing the nitrous button until hit the red line)

I didn't had to block that much, but I end up seeing me knocking the 1800 RS in the sand more then 10 times (and 1 of those times put me in 6th and he in 5th at about 17 seconds of the 1st), and well I can say that I spent more then 2/3 of the race out of 1st place...

Consistence in the 1:13- 1:14 (a lot of lap in the 1:13.5xx)
Best lap 1:11.3xx
Total Number of laps: 193 for all the 6 cars...
I pitted at 39, 77, 115, 153 (the 1800 RS pitted in the same laps plus 190)

Final stands:
Me - 4:00:37.106
VR-Limited - 4:00:38.845
1.8RS - 4:00.39.758
SR-Limited - 4:00:48.724
1800 RS - 4:00:52.342
S-Special Type I - (Don't know but it shouldn't much far then 4-6 seconds from the 1800RS).

So I won this by over 1 second and the 1800RS in 5th...thanks to his extra pit stop, no one told him to stay away from me:mischievous:, so his tires didn't survived enough...

And a final conclusion: This event isn't has hard has people think it is. And it's a lot of Fun (well this also may be 1 more prov that I'm really a strange person...)

Now only 1 Endurance to go (Sarthe I), but it's a easy race so I may leave this for last (still have to work in other 8 Races, and 2 of them are in the 1000 Miles!)

Congrats for the win, thats one tough race out of the way.👍 Your race sounded just like mine when I did it and I also had a one second MoV. :scared:

Well done Dragon 👍 , cant wait to see what you use + AI lineup in 1000 mls Nurb & Sarthe.

Thanks to both. I was first thinking it was really hard (well I long ago tried this and failed, and in my last test, N3/n3 from start, I noticed it would be hard), but endup being rally a fun race, has I don't had for some time (not even Côte D'Azur in the 1000 miles! was this fun, but that one was a bit harder for me for some reason).

And that Nurb and Sarthe in the 1000 Miles! well it will have to wait a bit (and I need to find a way to be able to handle at least 10 laps in Nurb in the '62 Skyline or I will have to find other option...), only tried 1 time Sarthe and that was a really bad try (wasn't able to block them for more then 5 laps, I think), but that was long ago (not like my last failure in Nurb).

And I still have 6 1-make races that I can't seam to find a way to win (or better I almost found a way to win Tsukuba in the Hyundai, but lost in the last turn 2 times :banghead:

Han - Congrats on a fine win. I've been trying this race for ages as it's only one of two that I have left and it's a real PITA for me. It seems as though I've been using the wrong car - The J limited. Am definitely going to give this car a go.
Again, well done.👍 👍

Thanks.

hmmm, 1000mls!?

I need some good news, just aborted MX5 for lousy 123 points in an 1800 MX5. I will definitely NOT be doing that race EvAr again.

Currently letting off a huge amount of  steam  and I need to be careful of what I write in fear of being banned.;)

Well I was bored (and with to much free time) so I end up racing my final endurance.

So just finished Sarthe I 24hours for 200pts

Used a Nissan Concept GT-R LM Race Car (I wasn't able to make the GT40 handle the way I wanted so I picked this car).

add a Stage Turbo 3 and R1/R1 tires to it change to R3/R2 at the pit stop and pit every 7 laps

VS line up number 2
R89C
R92CP
Sauber
787B
GT-one

the race only took some little seconds over 24 hours (since I basically parked the car near the finish line for about 10 minutes, just to make the time pass).

Won by 1 or 2 laps over the Sauber and run 400 laps

Really boring race, and finely done.

But now I have 5 1-make pains to do in order to finish this...

Picked up my 200 points in a stock ride at Infineon World Sport Car Race the other day!

Car: Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car '02 (Oil changed, R2/R3 tyres) / FR / 533HP on garage screen / 1120kg / 2.1kg/HP

Totally fun and gripping race with only 0.4s at the line!
Report in my endurance companion (linked in my signature!)

Ok my go with adding to this thread

Laguna Seca 200 Miles Endurance Race

Car used: Opera Performance S2000 '04 / FR / ?HP (274HP on garage screen) / 930kg / ?kg/HP (3.4kg/HP using garage value) /200 A-Spec points

Brand new from winning the Polyphony Digital Cup

(No oil change used, adjusted the stock sports suspension and downforce and used Racing Super Hards or otherwise know as RSH tyres)

Vs Pal Line 1 after console reset:

Pontiac GTO 5.7 Coupe ’04
Chevrolet Camaro SS ’00
Saleen S7 ’02
Ford GT ’05
Shelby Series 1 Super Charged ’03

Results of the race as follows:

Opera Performance S2000 ’04 – 2'18:19:660
Saleen S7: 1 Lap Down (To be precise about half way through the lap, 1 lap down)
Shelby 1 Super Series: 1 Lap Down
Ford GT: 2 Laps Down
Chevloret Camaro: 3 Laps Down
Pontiac GTO: 5 Laps Down

Three pit stops on laps 24, 48 and 72. Managed with 18 laps on last stop till finish. Took it a little conservative and could have won by a bigger margin if I tried harder.

Some tips to win:

* Make use of adjusting the sports suspension and downforce settings with the car, it will help you out big time. A 26/30 downforce will do fine for the course.
* Do not push hard even if the Saleen and Ford GT are ahead, good consistent laps times will let you catch you up with them in the slow corners.
* Make time through the corners, its about slow in and fast out, use the speed advantage through cornering to good effect.
* Do not push the tyres too hard, you can survive three pit stops in my case and the last stint on 18 laps is fine and you will not need to pit.
* Only fuel what you need and do not overfuel or take too long in pit stops
* Careful when overtaking the cars and try to do it on twisty sections of the course or outbrake them into turn 1 if close enough

A race report is currently being done and will come soon.

ignore this, bu its food for thought ( at desperate times )..

Apply All Idiot AI Codes ( Gameshark or Action replay, not sure if AR has this cheat) then B-Spec (3x) it so it wont take forever,

Any race, use the slowest possible car availbe within those limitations,
i.e Honda S500, Fiat 500L, Citroen 2CV, Diahaistu Midget, etc.)
If any seems to be lower than 200 points, add ballast

I can do one better, grab a picture from this site that shows max points. Go in to Photoshop and change the name to yours.
/sarcasm

Really Trico, if you’ve got nothing sensible to post here don’t post.
Dont post if we are to ignore your post. Suggest you go and find yourself another hobby. E.g. washing the neighbors cars or such.

Versus line up 2 : TVR T350C '03, Shelby Series 1 Super Charged '03, Mercedes SL 65 AMG ( R230 ) '04, Chevrolet Corvette ZO6 ( C5 ) '00, Dodge Viper GTS '99

Car Stats : 401 bhp, Computer equipped, Stage 3 NA, SH tyres, Racing Brakes and Brake Controller, Racing Suspension + all other non power mods.

Pitted every 10 laps.
MOV - 15 secs. Would have been more except for numerous spins due to the tendency of the car to constantly understeer. Good fun though!

Happy racing,
