Drama, just when i found an online racing group, after having this playstation 3 for a few years, it started flashing red light and bad news on further investigation, thats it playstaion had died.
So rushed down to Tesco and thankfully they have them there at 10 Pm, at night as well.
Lost all my cars and prettymuch all my game data, as i never bothered to back it up.
Just a reminder for you that it may be a good idea.
So now its a trip to the GT6 shop to buy a few million credits to get me cars back, as i cant go through all that earing credits again.

Ahh man! Not cool.

So glad I have Playstation+ automatically backs up all your saved data so if anything does happen to your playstation all you have to do is re download it to your new playstation and your good to go.

Feel for you man.

Dont sound fun at all :( I try to take backups of the save to a usb stick as often i remember. Got corrupted data on Gt3 at 97% Completion got so angry so i sold the ps2.
 
Sorry guys, had a little celebration yesterday evening, so I wasn't online. Gippone's sequence is: 8426.

As for the color: I got an orange one, later in the day I'll post which one exactly it is. and I got yellow rims.

Logic: that ps3 issue really suck man. :( So this will be a really expensive championship for you, as 7m credits cost more than game itself.

I'm so sorry for this man! :( That is why I have 2 Playstation 3 and I always backup my save on USB stick and onto playstation plus
 
Yes but the hours of enjoyment are well worth the money, when you thinl about money per hour this costs its really nothing at all.

As for backing up, i have to continually do it for my business , but never thought about it on a Playstation,
had them for years as well and never imagined they go wrong.
It was an old one and probably one of the first ps3's so ive had it a few years . and it does get hot, the old fan does make a lot of noise.
Another nate i will make is have a regular check around the air vents , as i did with mine at regular times, but now ive pulled it out and disconnected it i can see that quite a few of the airvents that you cant see unless you are underneath it are pretty badly clogged up with dust , and from experience in my office, thats the start of problems when things run hot like that , so just back up on your sticks and check your holes for dust guys.

Do you still have to reach a certain point on GT6 before you can get online?

yes have to get a license b b1 then a and do a few races first , so annoyoing , driving that shopping car around a track. my new one is the slim one, the old one that went wrong is the big version weighs a ton.
Just happy that in todays world, you can go to tesco at 10 pm on the way home from a resteraunt with the wife,
and just buy another one, it an amazing world, when i was a kid you would be outside the little shop in the highstreet Monday morning at 9pm hoping he had one in stock.

I'm pretty sure you can HD swap the ps3 so maybe no need to restart your games? In any case they say the last ps3 generation runs way cooler so i'm sure it'll last you :) remember to do the seasonals and you'll be back in a short time!

Calendar looks awesome! I'm glad that Nürburgring 24h is not among the first races, as I'll need a lot of practice for this one.

Two questions though:
1. Do we also know dates?
2. Are we running Suzuka completly dry? Not the weather changes variant like on Monza?

Just a thought, i believe you have no points for being lapped.
Not wishing to be premature and tempt fate here , but if someone is struggling and going through a crash a lot phase,
if there were points even for lapped cars that may be a reason for staying even if they are way back ?
just a thought thats all , better than them throwing in the towel i thought ?

Also for you guys that have taken the time and trouble to organise and put this together, i thank you indeed
 
@Stephen Vann , yeah m8, you have got to do all licsences/updates again so it will take awhile
calender looks good, but i think you should still get points even if lapped. i just hope my ps3 will stay connected for the whole race.
