dude, if the "world" is stupid enough to think Americans are all rednecks, I'd feel much more pity for them than anger for the people who gave them that opinion. that's sorta like accusing Germany of being a Nazi house.

Back to topic, It's not really about the massive power gain (though it's there) that you can get from a bore & stroke, it's the principal. how can this game, that's supposed to be the most realistic of all, NOT allow this classic, trademarked American modification to ANY American cars??? but you can to Japanese cars? and a mini????!!!? with so much attention paid to history, (supposedly) why can you not modify an ENTIRE era's cars the way almost EVERYBODY modified them? it's an absolutly absurd thought.
Again, simple proof that in the world's eye's every culture should be included except America's.
We're dumb because we drag race. we're dumb because we don't really like drifting. we're dumb because our cars arent engineered to race a specific 13-mile track that's not in our country. we're dumb because our suspensions arent the same as other countrys. we're dumb because our cars have to much power. we're dumb because we don't make fantasic sports cars, and then weigh them down with a super-comfy and pretty interior.
And we're dumb because we're just so bloody rich. yeah, we get it.

There are pros and cons to all engines. ie. if you have, say, a 1.5L four-pot, you trow a turbo on it, maybe a cam and re-map the ECU and clean up air and exhaust flows, your going to be able to run the sucker up to around 7-8,000RPM (stock) and the power/torque will be up high,

Not all 4 cylinders are designed to rev, some are designed to be torquey. VW's 1.8, nissans 2.5 and 2.4 come to mind.

if you take a 440ci V8, you can get the same power/torque, with less modifications (ie, retune the carby/remap the ECU, and clean up the flows), however the power/torque is going to be down low, with a sharp drop off around 4-5,000RPM (stock).

Also, not always true, it depends on the design of the engine. The new Z06 makes it's peak power somewhere around 6,500 rpm and redlines at 7,000, Audi's V8 rev's to 8120 rpm, and Nascar v8's rev to 9000+ rpm. This is why turbos are USUALLY (NOT always) better suited to high revving 'import' engines, and superchargers and generally better suited to V8's and V6's with larger displacement, as a matched turbo won't come on boost until the engine is starting to come on, whereas a supercharger is always giving boost.

The fitting of a super/turbo charger depends on your goals and your pockets. Properly matched, either one can boost power at all rpm levels.

Those turbocharged F1 cars were awesome, but not all that relevant, as the boost running through them was at insane levels, and MILLIONS of dollars went into building them, let alone developing the technology.

And? Millions of dollars go into developing current F1 cars too.

^^ You behave like a 12yr old fanboy as you obvioulsy thing there is nothing better than a V8 and that four pots like the Evolution and Impreza suck. Every type of engine configuartion has its advantages for different things mate.

i never said evos or sti's suck
just because i consider 4's ricey doesnt mean i hate them
well, not all of them anyway
infact i dont mind either, i prefer the evo though
