Not at all. If a driver feels that using "engine braking or bouncing it off the limiter" is the style he wants to adopt then that's OK. He certainly would not get a bad reputation for doing so.

I dont like doing it really, its not cheating but i see it as sort of dirty, i think id rather be 3rd and drive like i do. Probably a 0.1-0.25 gain.

Certainly not dirty, so please don't attempt to belittle other drivers by suggesting that it is.

Changing the rules part of the way through an event is always a bad idea.

Im not changing the rules, we thought prohibited meant no clutch or certainly i definatly did, ill have to speak to mad but as prohibited does mean 'clutch is ok' then your lap will definatly be aloud for this race.👍

Just made a change in first post. Clutch is now prohibited because of a few requests. I hope this didn't affect anyone who already did there lap with the clutch. If so, don't worry about it for this race because of the late rule change.

Seems there is some confusion if the clutch was allowed in the first place or not, and whether, because the rules were changed, if it is allowed in the first event or not.

If that's the case, there go my chances of scoring any points in round 1, thanks to the fact that my 6axis has no clutch. Can I cut the chicane instead to make things fair? lol jk

I don't think it is at all fair to allow the clutch at this point, simply because one or two individuals were uninformed. I'm not at all trying to point fingers, I'm just trying to make things as fair as possible for the drivers who don't have the capability of using a clutch. 👍

Clutch was not prohibited originally (it wasn't mentioned) therefore it was allowed. You then changed it halfway through so that the use of the clutch was prohibited. And now it's OK again. That is known as changing the rules.

You really need to work out water tight rules before the contest starts to avoid any confusion.

Here's my opinion:
Since this isn't an official GTP Moderated series ,
the person who desides the rules is the creator of this series.
And has the permission to change the rules whenever he/she see it nessessary.


Suggestion for a compromise:
Use the round one as a beta test, pre season round.
Which will be used to deside the winner in case of a tie at the end of season.

They just need a clear cut set of rules to begin with. Come up with the rules before you post the thread and do some testing. For example, take a look at the IFTC rules and regs for each round. Set out your first post with what you want dont want etc so everyone is clear.

Also, round dropping is some what under-used around here.

You've got to provide something different to beat the WRS. And you haven't. It seemed like a friendly TT series...but the majority of the posts arn't. So what's the point?

@markyboy...i have just lost my interest completaly in this competition only because of your ignorance....already in Chris his fine competition you showed your disrespectfull attitude agaisnt others and now again you are as naive as a boy.....funny that Mad,who is even younger than you are, does seems to get it, and does his most best to please everyone who has questions or has a dispute on the rules made....

so,i don't realy understand what your goals are dude,but if you want to continue this championship without getting a "BAD REPUTATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!" maybe you should learn something from what people who do know this stuff are trying to tell you.....

Come on guys, just focus on the time trial. Sorry about being a beginner in this TT race, when I post the next one i'll be much more specific. But this is meant to be a fun TT comp, not a super competitive comp. So just have fun.👍

Rules for this race(so you're all clear): Clean laps, must be done online, and clutch is allowed for this race only.(due to all the confusion).

I hope this clears things up a bit on the rules, and guys, please stop argueing everyone.
