This may help me learn some tricks to help me put on S-7. Looking forward to this one!

Here is my NTSC replay.

mad94d and Nibbers replays are clean and green.

I need someone to take a look at Boy__Racer's just after turn 1 he is off track with 2 tires on the rumble strips but each one of those tires leaves the rumble strip in the grass before coming back onto the track which would constitute only 1 tire on the track for a split second. I just can't tell if any part of the tire is on the track at that point so I need someone else to look - I might try chasing his ghost later to see if I can keep up long enough to see it better.

Just been checking replays. Boy__Racer's lap I think is ok because even though two tyres left the red/white strip, they are still on the green painted concrete, which I believe is deemed as part of the track. Tho I can see holes in that logic. Whats the general concensus ?

Well ripping. In the opening post, it says that green concrete area's and green astro turf area's are considered part of the track. So i'm saying clean.

Fuji is a different beast, if you used the green tarmac there, you'd be halfway to Texas. There will not be the same allowances given there.

Yep. The green astro turf at Fuji is not considered part of the track. Or the run-off area's.

Hold on though. When the car moves forward about 50 feet the front passenger side tire is going to be in the grass and off the track which puts 3 tires on the grass right?

Dont think sooo.... as you can see the car is already facing slightly right[on its way back on track] so i dont think at any point there are 2 tyres off the offical part of race track.


Even if it is aloud i will be 85 points off madison, not a good last few races for me.

Its not the best pic but here it is.

There is a patch of dirt that extends just beyond the end of that rumble strip and the pic shows the passenger side front tire sitting in that dirt. I'll try for a better shot tonight when it gets darker in my HT - my front projector can't compete with the sun too well. Another thing to notice is how the car dips down when it comes off the rumble strip then pops back up when it comes onto the road.

I'll edit this post in a few minutes regarding the 'Boy__Racer incident' !


OK. The rules states two wheels on the track at all times. The track includes the red/white rumble strips, and (at Suzuka) the green painted concrete.

As can be see from the two frames, there is no doubt that the right rear wheel is, was, or will be, at some stage, completely off the track.
Therefore, in my opinion, this is a foul lap and should be disallowed.

Thank to LinPark for highlighting this, and keeping us honest. I was concentrating more on earlier in the corner, and overlooked this part.

your not including the name of the savedata directory.
Some thing like BCES00104-RPLY2-B-C04A4704003
inside your zip should be PS3/SAVEDATA/BCES00104-RPLY2-B-C04A4704003/
structure. But your zipping the files only. And each "BCES00104-RPLY2-B-C04A4704003" is unique to your replay files, so it needs to be part of your zip file.

The final call is that all 3 drivers, boy__racer, GTP_DHolland and GTP_TIZZLA will be disqualified from Round 9. I hate making these choices to DQ people but they need to be done in the order of fairness. Results should be nearly official I think?
