From that I conclude that the front end is not like those renderings at all and the rear while it may have the similar shape the silly exhaust stacks don't exist thankfully!

The car in that spy video looks bizarre! I know, the shape has been altered with foam and such, but still. The front end looks very strange, generally, and the rear is too wide for my tastes. Why can;t they make it narrower, so that it's actually usable on real roads and is lighter?

I hope it look's much nicer under the cover up parts, thats actually looking uglier than the drawn one. Every car that comes from now pushes me further away :(. The last car I liked as a whole was the 360 a long time ago now.

That looks much better than the render, it kind of reminds me of the FXX profile.

What I find more interesting is the engine sound, it sounds like an N/A V12

That actually looks more like the car that's found at the bottom of the R&T link (similar stories bit), than it does of that fugly render, it also looks closer to the renders that are posted at the end of that youtube vid you posted.. which i actually think looks quite good.

Sounds like a Zonda F to me. Can't wait to see what the finished version looks like.

Still early to tell really.
Sofar basically it looks like its gonna be bigger 458I with the Berlinetta's engine.
Although a turbo'd version of the 458's v8 would be cool, or even a small turbo v12.

The chassis you see in the pictures has been developed with the help of Rory Byrne, a leading Formula 1 expert.
Obviously, the new monocoque is cutting edge technology. It is said to be 20 percent lighter and but 27 percent stiffer than the Enzo’s chassis. A nomex honeycomb structure has been used which is sandwiched between two layers of hi-grade carbon fiber. Ferrari fitted a Kevlar protective plate on to the underside of the body, which protects components placed below the monocoque.

So are we finally bolting rear suspension directly to the block? :D

Looks cool. I can't wait to see how it stacks up to the P1.

The photo you see in this article is from the Ferrari Magazine (number 18) and shows what could very well be the engine of the F70. As you would expect, we are dealing with a huge V12 engine that will feature an F1-inspired KERS system which previous reports were indicating that it will produce an additional 120 hp (89 kW)

Well I waited for this story to be posted as I don't enjoy starting them and couldn't find a thread on the Ferrari F70 to post this in (though I seem to remember seeing one). So I am here after 3 hours after the news broke and we have a first reported picture leaked from a private event in China. I can't find a suitable story along with it so I will just post a picture of the picture...

Thank you to the mod, that relocated this.

This looks pretty good, but I can't see much. The Enzo had presence, I'll give it that, but it wasn't all that pretty, but the F40, arguably the prettiest of the trio, was more racy than beautiful. I have a feeling this one will be similarly racecar-like and edgy, rather than gorgeous and curvy.

It looks great aside from the F12 nose. And the rims should be a bit smaller too, at least on the front.

The Enzo, to be fair, was prettier than the horrid F50.

First Gumpert now this. I must be hardwired to appreciate bad looking cars. I'd be staring at the F50 if it was parked next to an Enzo.

That's because the F50 wasn't uglier than the Enzo. It didn't look as good as the F40 (and certainly not as good as the 288), but it's a lot less of a mess than the Enzo. On this point, your weirdness does not apply.

Remember, this is the same person who "always thought (the Big Aston) looked daft," so he's clearly off some important medicine or something.

:P

Count me in the group that liked the F50 too. The Enzo did nothing for me.

I can just make out the roof scoop (nice!), and it seems to have the very low profile body mixed with a bubble-shaped, much narrower cockpit style that the P1 has too. It's certainly going to be interesting when those two end up facing off...
