If I was an existing LaFerrari owner, I'd be throwing serious coin at SP to make it look like that. That is the best-looking hyper car ever in my eyes. Utter perfection.

Chalk me up as another who prefers the looks of the Self-Censored Expletive compared to the base The Ferrari. It's ridiculous and out-there, but in a more cohesive way than something like the Veneno. There's a lot of F50 in there, but then again, there is on the road car too.

The little vestiges of rear wing, if I had to guess, have to do with applying downforce more accurately over the rear wheels during turning. They'll provide it in a straight line too of course, but a full-width wing would be affected by crosswinds more, so this can provide a more precise amount of pressure to just the outer edges of the car, where it's needed most. That's just me wild guess, though.

The thing that makes me unsure about this is that it essentially can be bought by anyone with that kind of money and money doesn't always mean talent (as many of these supercar crashes prove time & time again.) Now maybe I'm misinterpreting it as meaning some rich guy could suddenly become a full time racing driver (that and I have abit of an problem with the amount of untalented pay drivers who just only have the talent of causing accidents or getting in the way), but it just seems like a an idea I'm not for. That's just me though.
The XX Programme picks who participates & coaches drivers. The engineers use these cars as development beds for future products, which requires people who know how to relay feedback to them & can drive the cars fast enough for them to observe the data to go on. You can't just join it because you have a fat wallet.

Think of it like the yearly articles that come out advertising that NASA will pay you to sleep for 6 months. You have to know how respond & do what they ask to get accepted in the first place.

If that's the case, then I'm ok with it. I didn't know too much about how it worked so I wasn't sure but its good to see its more controlled then I first thought.

If you have time to kill, this is a nice read from a previous owner of a FXX & goes into his experience with the program back in 2007/2008.

Most of the FXXs are now retired alongside the 599s, so it'll be interesting to see what new life the FXXK brings.

Sorry didn't have enough free time lately so my "breaking news" tends to come a bit later. Oh well. :)

Would love to see this thing racing against the P1 GTR. We need more of Ferrari vs. McLaren like the good old days.
Screw F1 it's totally ruined with the laughable PU noise, we need an Hypercar GT1 series.

Maybe with this new Ultracar Sports Club trackday organisation, there might be a chance of some FXX K (once it gets inducted) vs P1 GTR action, even if it isn't pure racing

Won't happen. The FXX/599XX have been out for 7 years now & have never been raced against anything other than other Ferrari Challenge/F1 Clientele cars.

The Ultracar Club thing is just a wet dream. All of those cars outside the track-prepared ones have been seen on circuits with each other, the only difference being that the club is trying to act like it's the Elite of the Elite. Yes, that's really exciting to turn up to a track & be 1 of 5 or 6 people altogether because they turned away everyone who doesn't have a 7-figure car & the rest of the eligible owners don't actually track their cars.

So...
LaFerrari FxxK
McLaren P1 GTR
Pagani Zonda R:evolution
Koenigsegg One:1
And maybe
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento or Veneno (or preferably, a trackbuilt Asterion...)

Will we see a proper Porsche 918 RSR?
This sure would make a really fine startingfield in any race!
