Does my second place grant me the ability to change one aspect from Round 1?

If so, I'd like to change the track to Trial Mountain Reverse.

Yesterday was really fun without the discos from last week.

Can I suggest high PP @ SPA?

Does everyone have a FGT? That would be fun at Spa.

Hopefully I'm not stepping on any toes, as I'm a relative newbie to the group, but I like the idea of choosing cars that bring out close competition. One trip to the sand in these and you're almost certainly assured a great deal of distant between you and the leading drivers. I just have a suspicion that with FGTs, the last place finisher wouldn't get in within a 15 or 30 sec time limit.

Suggestion:

I have never raced with the Veyron before outside of an oval. Are they manageable?

I see your point. I'll rescind my choice for now, but we'll see. As for the Veyron, honestly, I haven't driven it. You're welcome to try and report back.

In my humble opinion, with this group, one trip to the sand in any car and the result is pretty much the same. Most of the people here are quite consistent, even smaller mistakes can take away your chance at winning. That said, the FGT can be a handful.

I was thinking it would be a nice change from the usual for one combo :)

Whatever the group wants, no worries.

I agree with Kcheeb on this one; even minor mistakes can be very costly when racing against pretty constant drivers.

So, no actual choices yet for Thursday?

No, Diabolic made his choice to change the track to Trial Mountain Reverse. I'm going with Spa, but I'll let y'all know tomorrow if we're going to do the FGT or something else.

High PP at Spa makes no sense given we're doing Group C cars there next Friday...but that's just my opinion :/

Edit; interesting PP numbers with that update....I suggest everyone check the cars they used from last week. I had an MX-5 prepared for the 4 hour enduro in A-spec, got it up to 370PP or thereabouts. After the update, it's gone down to 325PP

Some of the new figures are ridiculous.

Examples:

One of the datsun now sit at less performance than a kei car. Does body roll account for 25PP?

My combo 1 car went from 7% restriction down to 2%.

The Miata I used last week went from 386 to 382.

Well.. I don't run the Friday series! :) and since I did not get to run my pick when I put the high powered AWDs been wanting to go back there.

Yesterday I bought an interesting car. GT-R LM Street Going Version with over 300HP and it only has 418PP. Hmmm.. Interesting :scared:

This is an interesting specimen since it is FR. 👍

One of my favorite cars. Alas, it's not as good as I want. The PP on it has definitely been lowered. I seem to recall running the car in 450 rooms with minor modification. Will it make it to 390PP being at 10% reduction?

I'm going to stick with the FGT at Spa. I just want to see what it's like, but I'm ok with it if it gets voted off. Diabolic, deal with it. ;)

am I allowed to participate in this event ?

Yes, indeed! The more the merrier.

Tez,

Thank you for the paint chips! 👍

Actually, no. If you've been kicked out of SNAIL you loose the right to participate in all SNAIL events. Unless cheeb or zero want to overrule me on this one, I don't see how it would be possible for you to race here if your access to the SNAIL lounges has been revoked.

Edit: Also, I'm updating the combos now

Ohh, sorry, did not know of such. :ouch:

I was excited thinking the Solstice could be run, but alas it's at 2200 CC

I am finding that the FR cars have been cut in half. Some are now just way to low to even consider using and most of them that start around 375-390 have above 2000 cc. I did go through the FFs though and I now have 7 cars to mess around with. :)

It seems that many of the Japanese cars PP were taken down.. while many of the other non Japanese models are still about the same.

Seems to fishy, but why would only Japanese cars??? This is going to make for some serious conflicts as not all the cars would be same.

I may be late or I may leave early this evening. My dog had to be taken to emergency pet hospital last night and they kept him. He's waiting for an ultrasound this afternoon and the results will determine when I can pick him up.

Ultrasound? Did it swallow something it can't pass? Sorry to hear that, hope he is ok.
