This really interest me but sometimes I just want to practice the combos for Sunday's races. However, I think I can make it today.

The 480PP MR Street Cars @ Circuito de Madrid combo seems like a very fun one.

Cool part of this series is it's pretty laid back, or as laid back as you want to make it. I usually pick a car and hop in it :)

Plus I get to drive cars I rarely or never get to drive 👍

I got my car selection done. The 410 FR and 480 MR will be he 1st time being driven since getting out of the UCD. :dopey: lets do this!

I'm going to be late, but I'll be able to hop in as soon as the wife goes to bed. Looking forward to experiencing the buttkicker I installed on my rig today.

nice, you'll like it 👍

EDIT: Where is everyone??? Time to race!

Good close races tonight 👍

Wish I could have stayed for the last round!

Agreed! The first 2 rounds were very tight, and so much fun! The 3rd round was spread out a lot more. The V8 Esprit and NSX up front, Elises in the middle, and the Tommykaira ZZ-S bringing up the rear. I was in an Elise and the only time I caught the NSX was when Wolf got stuck on the chicane before the front straight. I think my qualifying time was like 5 seconds off the pace of the Esprit.

Hey don't embarrass my driving skills!

I actually prep to race with the same Lotus as it has 348 HP, but did not like the handling very much, the NSX handles way much better but it was no match for those extra 50 HPs on straights.

My favorite races was at Suzuka, very fun I just need to work on the consistency and P A T I E N C E! :grumpy:
I did a couple of grave mistakes that coould've been avoided by exercising patience.

Wow, I didn't think they'd be that far apart. I had all three ready to run, just ran out of time :(

You've come a long ways Wolf 👍 Hardest part is getting a run on someone and realizing you won't be able complete it and backing off. Live to fight another day :) Good part about that is you put pressure on the person in front of you!

I used that tactic several times last night. Almost like playing chicken to the end of the straight. I would wait to the very last moment to pull back and tuck in. A couple of times it paid off when my opponent attempted to out-brake me and misjudged it. :)

It works 👍 and has worked on me 👎

And it's a completely valid racing tactic, no contact either :D

I did not like the handling either. Especially at the second sector of the track, the back end of that esprit was everywhere. I was getting all my time on the straights.

We had an awsome night of close, competitive racing on Thursday. Here's the scores!

Round 3 recieved the most elimination votes, so albtifosi gets to pick a new combo to replace it

Round 1 recieved the second most elimination votes, so spooble gets to pick either a new track or car spec to replace it

Thanks to everyone who showed up and raced!

455pp 4wd Street cars at Trial mountain. Hopefully you guys like that one. I am trying to think of stuff that would be close. This should be pretty much all STIs and EVOs.

Sounds like a good pick. Maybe I'll try to find something other that an STI or EVO, just to mix it up a bit ;)

I will be at the Petit Le Mans this Thursday, so I would like to pass my selection on to Wolfsatz.

Alright, in that case, prize two passes to Wolfsatz! Please make your selection as soon as possible so I can update the combos for this week :)

FF @ 405 PP
Just to keep it in progression and with very different cars.

I don't like this PP as is keeping the quick Audi's out! :grumpy:
I am also trying to find something decent other than the Evos or STIs.

Perhaps I'll get lucky and find a very run down RS4. :dopey:

Ok, new combo post is up. Not much change in round 1, Wolf chose to only bump things up by 5 pp, but that will open up the grid to a few more cars. Round three promises to provide some close racing now as well.

Hopefully I'll see you all there on thursday!

Edit: I noticed that the tire selections we've been using have not always been exactly in line with the official SNAIL tire regs. This was a mistake on my part, but this week I'm happy to say our tire choice will be 100% SNAIL approved.

That was my whole reasoning behind it, to give the FTO a challenge. 👍

I sure hope everyone can make it this time, because these combo's are going to be super competitive. Unfortunately I haven't had time to test much, anyone have a ballpark estimate on laps for Trial Mountain? I was thinking 6 or 7

I only got as far as getting the cars ready, oil change, limiting to PP and buying rubber :dopey:

Looking forward to it.

Once again we had an awsome night of close, competitive racing on Thursday. Here's the scores!

Rounds 1 and 3 tied in the votind, since kcheeb got 3rd he gets to pick which combo is voted off and which one is only half voted off.

Once he does that, dabneyd will pick a new combo to replace which ever one kcheeb chooses, and albtifosi will pick a new track or car spec for the other one.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and raced!
