If your driving Counter Clockwise on the track, from the starting line, if you hit the corner of the wall @ the Chicane, you'll brake out of the track . . . . it's all open road from there. No walls, no cars, no barriers.

After you reach speeds over 10,000 miles per hour, your oil light comes on, and your escudo has a minimum of over a million miles on it.

The problem is, when you reach those speeds the game locks up.....exceeding the math computing power of the PS2.

First off, the Chicane? I think me and you have different terminologies. Where is the Chicane?

The game locks up? Like freezes? How do you know your official speed if the game locks up? Sorry about the questions Pako, I just want to break my personal record. :) ;)

The Chicane just before the underpass.... If your going the other way, you can go straight - into the pits, or make the Chicane and continue your lap.

Also, when the game freeze, the screen locks up, but so do the images. This allows you to see what your top MPH/KPH are....truthfully speaking, if it didn't lockup, you would NOT be able to see how fast you were going because the numbers are moving waaaaaay too fast.

Check out my video that posted from the Seatle track where I caused the Escudo to do repeated somersalts. Watch the Speed there . . . .

Hi, any of you actually believe you're doin that kind of speed when you're riding wheelie with the Escudo? C'mon, get real.
What's happening is that you're riding on the rear edge (or whatever you call it) of the car with the rear wheels barely touching the ground. Obviously the wheels are spinning freely (front) (or almost freely [back]), and the speedometer reads that as the actual speed. Its a 4wd remember.

I won the escudo last night and tried it out on the amateur turbo race. Gee, I flied man. And the speedometer showed more than 800 km/h. But what do I see? The other cars had almost caught up with me!!!!

Try it out yourselves. Sorry I trashed that illusion. :D
yah, i agree with entropic .......but in regards to the settings.....why would you totally drop the ride height in the front??.......if you're trying to get liftoff then you'd want the front of the car to be as light as possible.....therefore jack the front of the car up so that weight will be transfered to the rear which will enable the front end to lift easier.......also by jacking the front up, more air travels under the car which would also contribute to the liftoff .......try it .......regardless i think it's a pretty stupid thing to try and do all together but for all of you who get their kicks doing this that's my advice :D

Well, at the Test Course when your doing over 1000 MPH I would have to say that the cars are nowhere near you. Your already around the track before they are out of the first straightaway.

Talk about blowing the doors off the competition.

have you been watching The Third War?(I think that's what it was called..., something along those lines at least...) It's a great movie. What was your favorite part?

Hey many of you say you are getting your escudos over 300mph, I have the pal version and could only manager 454kph. No were near the magical 300mph. So anyone of you 300mph boys care to share your settings???

Cheers

P.S. What other cars have you gotten over 300?

I used the settings posted in these forums and on the website. And with those settings and no tweeking, I get my (Fully Suped) 1800+HP Escudo to over 500MPH. Is your escudo fully suped. Mine takes off at about 220MPH or so..

Add the turbo kit
Reduce all downforce
Lower it all the way down
Put Gear Ratio to fastest
Put all TSC settings etc to 0.
Thats all I think, give it a try.

This thread wasn't about wheelie laming for speed. It was about how to truly get your escudo over 300 mph.

Oh really? Right on... It's not possible is it? I mean, to achieve such speeds...your front's gonna lift a little anyhow...

With proper tuning and settings, you'll start to wheelie between 226-236 mph... interesting...

btw how the hell u steer :(

Perhaps you should check to the aviation forum on how to steer the Escudo once it's in the air... It's pretty tough to steer with the front tires when their not even on the ground..

Here's some ideas for steering the Escudo..

1.) Independant left and right braking on the rear tires.
2.) Steering flaps on the wing or on the side ground effects.
3.) Side bursting Rockets for quick bursts of perpendicular force.
