Eppe, no problems mate, I can see that its a bit tricky getting everyone together!
The quality of racing is high so it would be a shame for this to die now. I dont have a problem with your Fins being quick, somebody has to be quick and I think now we can give you guys a good run for your money. The idea of 'sucess ballast' seems like a really good idea to me.

I will have a think about what we can do to encourage people to commit, the main thing is we all turn up with a full team for each race.

Please can you ammend the title of the thread to Nordic/UK so that UK people can see they are able to join. 👍

Let us know how the update looks.

i cant join all training sessions. You see me online on PSN when i can. the races i will join so dont worry about that. i will be in every race as long as i dont have any connection problems.

The first thing you need to do is to work out a penalty system along with a "rules and regulation"-post. In that way, everybody knows what's ok and what's not.

For me, the content does not matter. The most important is that all drivers race under the same rules and regulations. As it looks up until now, drivers have different views of what's ok, and what's not. So first priority shoul be to make a set of rules that every body can relate to when racing.

Screw the PP/Ballast systems.. They are completeley rubbish! 👎

Question: the UK team currently has two cars registered for use during the championship (the Xanavi Nismo GT-R and the Motul Autech GT-R)- will this change if another country enters?
which one should i use?

Thanks mr.

What will the UK team use if there is a fourth country present?
I would prefer to get the car that will be used in this situation just in case another team is joining mid season

You should ask Youre team members, maybe it would
be best if U pick one, and stick to it for the whole season.

btw... i noticed a difference between the woodone gt-r and the other gt-r cars whilst in the dealership today - the tyres. the other gt-r cars use bridgestone tyres and the woodone uses yokohama tyres.
maybe this is explains the difference in handling?

HEY! That must be the explanation.👍 Nice notice.

thanks...

i remember in F1 a few years ago it was bridgestone vs michelin and initially michelin were struggling because their compound was slightly softer than that of bridgestone and so, because of the rules dictating that no tyre changes were allowed during a race except for in changes of weather, they didn't let any of their teams race in the US Grand Prix because of the safety concerns of the tyres not being able to last the entire race distance...

...whether or not this is the case in Super GT between bridgestone and yokohama is another matter of course... and so is whether or not PD would include these subtle differences in the game but it might go some way to explaining the difference in handling between the cars anyway... it's the only obvious difference i've noticed (save for the colour schemes etc)

Hi Hortus,

I think we should go for the Xanavi GT-R. Its a touch faster than the Motul which makes us even with the other teams (I think) .
So if you don't have one, buy one now and start to break it in as it takes quite a few miles to reach 518hp. 👍

thanks lambolover,

i'm in the middle of breaking it in now so it will be ready for next weeks start for sure.

btw i'm using a pad atm so bare with me as i'll be slower then the rest of the team initially but i should have a wheel by this time next month which will mean i should hopefully be able to keep up come race 4

it would be great if you could pm me one of your fast practice times around the first track (suzuka) so i can compare my pace with yours and find out where i am pace wise

thanks

I will remember that average time was 1"55.xxx in 1 pre-race.
at Suzuka.

Using a wheel just make You addicted to this game, I´m not
jokin. So be aware of that. :dopey: (btw. buy a Fanatec wheel with Fanatec Clubsport Pedals, You won´t regret).

i'll do some practice runs today to see where i am relative to that time...

thanks for the fanatec advice...personally, i have my eyes set on a DFGT and a wheelstandpro setup for now but i have had a look on the fanatec website and the wheels do look good actually. the pedals look even better

p.s. i am already addicted :P

DFGT and weelstand pro is what I have, a good combination although the pedals are a bit of a weaker area on the the DFGT.
The stand is excellent and well made, useful that you can store it away as well so you cant go wrong with that.
Fanatec would be great if you had more cash to spend 👍

cash flow problems aren't the reason i'm getting the DFGT, i like the look of it and the fact it's buttons are all on the wheel itself and it has easy access to the RA menu... the fanatec wheels are all branded with Porsche logos...if they made a Lotus or a TVR version i'd seriously consider getting one... but they're a German company (i think) so i doubt they'll be branching out in that direction anytime soon

the Thrustmaster set in a large customised GranTurismo Ovei would be an awesome combo... however, the reason i'm not getting them is defo cash flow related

about the DFGT pedals: have you read that thread on improving the resistance of the brake pedal? there's a short video on here somewhere showing somebody using an elasticated cable (i think a luggage strap) on the DFGT pedals which people have said works quite well... it's very simple, and the length of the video reflects this XD

here's the link:

Eppe was it some practise races tonight? Also i wonder if you use playseat and how the fanatec will fit to it?

I can´t do any races today...:ill:

I have the cheapest playseat (159 euro), but removed the wheelstand.
I have my wheel mounted on a low table. In my opinion the
wheelstand was not steady enough.
