You would be spending more time in the customizations and adding/editing the race than actually racing........
 
With proper AI sure.

If online just make a lobby and call some "good people" or/and friends that you know, and make it. It is possible now since you have customization.

The hard part is to find people that actually want to do something like that.

Then of course there are some stuff missing since you can´t do it properly as I believe you want. (proper grid with lock on position to not give any advantage to the players with better cars, the prize for win the race depending in which car you have and all...etc)

Wouldn't it be great if we could orchestrate/fully customize a race exactly how we wanted to! Imagine being able to choose every single opponent, even their upgrades! We'd be able to recreate legendary Best Motoring batttles or even make our own! Your stock/modded daily car vs a league of supercars or Rally or anything you wish! We'd also be able to choose which position to start from and also the position of the AI (i'd put fast cars at the back and slower cars in front making for some good overtakes) No matter what you chose to do the posibilities would be endless !!!!

Sorry, I actually searched for a similar thread but there was nothing with the keyword ''orchestrate'' :P Never thought of searching ''race editor'' or ''event creator'' :)

So let me change it a bit! How about if we could do the same thing with B=spec mode? :D
With proper AI we'd be watching custom epic battles on demand !!!

All in one race so you can decide which car is the fastest? Maybe for pics?
I know i have. I hope theres a race creator where you choose any cars.
To go one step further: Choose cars from your own garage so you really see how tuned cars go
One step further: The higher the PP relative to your car, the more money you earn. If your bored with Aspec, Bspec.. maybe this would work. You can test different courses, diffucilties, photo's etc.

I often race on the tracks I made in the track creator.
I feel the selected cars for the race are quite evenly matched. Random races based on the car you picked are already possible.

Having said that, it would be nice to have more control over events.
And it would be great if more complete series were added (like super GT) instead of individual cool cars.

There's a lot of speculation about this, but I'm assuming we're getting one. In fact, an Event Maker for both offline and online modes. In order for there to be user generated races, track days, series and championships, you have to have some kind of Event Maker which allows you to define a number of parameters for these events. This will have to work hand in hand with GT6's club and league builder feature. And with all that work on something of that scope, I'm assuming something like it for single player offline mode would be a no brainer.

Of course, with all things GT, we'll see. ;)

Man, I hope that you are right. I would create my own version of the WEC. This would keep me playing the game for ages. :scared:
 
An event creator for offline play (Arcade Mode) would almost make the game a deal for me. Now just make it possible to unlock cars for Arcade Mode, just like it was in GT4, and I'm sold.
 
I adore this idea and desperately hope that its true that it'll be in GT6.


EDIT: Make events/tourneys/challenges distributable over the 'net and we'd never need another game.

And I'm sorely impressed with how GT6 is shaping up, but Gran Turismo on the mega-powerful PS4, up there with some of the better PC gaming rigs in performance... that has to be a seriously cool experience.

So what sort of "Manufacture Events" would you guys create with such a gamechanging tool?

I think a Veyron Championship might be interesting. 16 Veyrons. 4 races. One Cup.

Circuit de La Sarthe - 5 laps
Ascari - 9 laps
Cape Ring Periphery - 4 laps
Mt. Panorama - 7 laps


Qualifying ON, Standing Grid start, Sports Hard tires for us, Racing Mediums for the A.I., full damage ON, all aids OFF, A.I. Rubberbanding OFF!

CIVIC TYPE R’S VS CLIO SPORTS – two of the best hot hatches’ battle it out for the crown.

There’s just a endless amount of fun to be gained from this tool, I want it I want it I want it lol

i think gt6 suggestions its a better place for a thread like this one.
everybody in this threads want the same thing, being together and converging all posts about this tool to the same place (thread), makes our case stronger and harder to ignore.
due to location, devil240z's thread is more relevante because voting there shows PD what features gt fans want more.

if moderator wants, my thread can be merged at devil240z's, a "race creator for career mode" is an "event creator" with opion to save whatever users create.

sticking the top 3 features threads in the front page of gt6 general threads would give them high visibility

Ok, so I finally decided to hop online and create a room last night. Ho-ly-Bajeebers.

When creating a race online, ALL SORTS of options are available. We have Qualifying options, Grid starts with penalties(!), visual and mechanical damage, Tire wear, Fuel usage options, Slipstream options, Boost options (would this allow us to turn OFF the rubberbanding?) all sorts of limits on the opponents.. :eek:

WHY can we not have this screen for offline Event Creation!? PD. Please please please give us this Event Creation screen for offline racing.


Please?

(and maybe throw in that Opponent Selector. We know it's in there..)
