Every Real Life Track or every Gran Turismo "fantasy" track?

Would you rather have every real life track Gran Turismo featured or every PD designed track ever featured? For me the PD designed tracks are more interesting and fun to drive so it's an easy choice. Only one type either real or fantasy would be included in the game. The other type would be removed.

Which real world tracks that were previously in GT are still missing? Spa, Silverstone, Leguna Seca, Motegi, Fuji? I think that’s it.

So those 5 tracks vs every single PD create track ever? That’s hardly a fare comparison, based on sheer volume alone.

Edit: I guess Pikes Peak would go on the “real world previously in GT” list.

So 6 real world locations vs at least 2 dozen PD created locations.

Edit 2: and Daytona and Indy...so 8 real world locations  it’s all coming back to me in waves

Daytona, Ascari, Valencia (GT PSP), Indianapolis, Sonoma (Infineon/Sears Point), probably some others too

and of course ones in GTS, for example Interlagos which wasn't in a GT Game previously.

I mean to say that the other types would be removed from the game. You could only have real or fantasy tracks.

I'd prefer all fantasy because if it is all real world, then there wouldn't as much that would separate GT from other similar titles.

You get it. Fantasy tracks give racing sims a distinct character.

As for real world, I prefer the less well-known ones.
e.x Snetterton purely based on the name. Heck, I want Snetterton to be the next real world track included in GTSport. (Also gets your British track quota handled *cough**cough*)

Stretching it a bit here but... Goodwood hill climb and the moon.
If the moon was included, then I think it would open it up for Polyphony's street circuits that follow real streets and locations. But then you could argue that the moon is unaltered, so maybe?

I'd honestly prefer every PD track going back to GT1.

If you had to make me run like new Hockenheim or Catalyuna or Infineon or Yas Marina or any Tilke track...

Oh man I have nightmares about Ascari.

I still think it’s a loaded question.

How many PD tracks would we get, vs how many real world tracks?

TC is saying “every PD created track,” which is a LOT of tracks, certainly much more in number than the real world tracks that have been in the game.

So, are you asking if we would prefer a game that had every PD created circuit, vs a game that had an equivelent number of real world circuits?

If the answer to that question is yes, then my next question before I can fully answer, is, do I get to pick which real world circuits?

If we are talking about a hypothetical game that had either every PD created track, OR an equivalent number of real world circuits of MY choosing......then it goes without question that I would chose the real world circuits.

And trust me, the real world circuits I would chose would be ones that 99% of you have never heard of, and you’d think you were driving on PD fantasy tracks anyways.

I think I explained it pretty clearly. Every real world track that has ever been in GT or every fantasy track that has ever been in GT.

That’s not a fare question. There are far more fantasy tracks from previous GTs than there are real world tracks from previous GTs. You’re basically asking people, “would you prefer 50 tracks, or 25?”

Don’t think that’s a question that’s difficult to guess most people’s answer to.

That’s why I’m saying, it would be better if you rephrased the question to, “all fantasy GT tracks ever, or an equivelent number of real world circuits.” That’s a much more balanced question to ask people.

I can always go to a real life track, I miss GVS, TR246, AHR, MFR, TM, DFR, Rome Circut, all the GT4 tracks I don’t remember, SSR all of them, HSR, I even miss the Test Track & the Complex String

This is a tough one, it means either I could get my favorite real world track Fuji or my favorite fantasy track SSR5. Maybe Fuji only if we get 80's/90's versions back.

I’m in the middle of doing some sport mode races and too lazy to look it up....how many previous fantasy tracks have been in GT, how many real world tracks? Anyone know?

The real world tracks have way more interesting and subtle terrain deformations while the fantasy tracks are excessively fresh and smooth. I'd rather have the real world tracks. They also build up my interest in real world racing.

It was mentioned that all of the racing games define their difference via their fantasy tracks but you could easily define your game via your selection of lesser known tracks. The current problem is that whenever they do a real world track they have to go big, which means they're just chasing the populace tracks.

That’s all I got for now....but I’d take any combo of those circuits over an equivelent number of PD fantasy circuits any day. I actually like a lot of the PD circuits, but until we have all the real ones first, I’d prefer them over the fantasy ones.

As much as I love Dragon Trail Gardens, I'm going real world. We had the Griswald track and Mid-field, NYC, R246, etc. Great locations. However, Laguna Seca, Sonoma layouts, Daytona, layouts, all the Fuji Classic and New layouts, Monaco(try that in the F1), All the Motegi layouts and oval too, Tsukuba(Wet) ;) and motorcycle course, Top Gear, Indianapolis layouts, So many goodies. Nurb short course, Red Bull Ring courses, Bathurst, Brands Hatch. So many tracks.

I like both but I like Pds fantasy tracks more because they are unique and have character.

I enjoy racing on red rock valley, super speedway, rome night, stage route 11, deep forest, grand valley, apricot hill, midfield raceway and more. They have character because these tracks are not based on rules or restrictions they are also creative.

I agree 100% about the fantasy track's character. EL Capitan, Cita D'Aria. Even High Speed Ring, in GT6, is a nice bowl of a circuit.

Madrid, is just about my favorite city track. Though, I'd like to see what Rome Night would look like updated.

I’d hands down have all PD’s fantasy tracks over real tracks purely from a nostalgia point of view! Remember the original masterpiece (at the time) had only fantasy tracks.

I'd rather have all the real world tracks. @Magog - Would be nice to have a poll...
