Evil Cars in GT4...

Basically, after driving all of 1000 miles! with the Ginetta, jumping right into a high power car is nearly impossible. (Tried this with the Speed 12, took 3 ring laps to get around without going off every corner).

The Beetle Cup car fully tuned.

Understeering piece of sucking fhit!!

And the wheelspin!! Maybe it just didn't suit my driving style.. Maybe I just hate understeer... But I'm tellin' ya'!!

I hated that car. :'(

What you're complaining about is a known issue with Front-wheel-drive cars. Due to the location of the driving wheels relatively to the engine and the center of weight, the wheels, unlike in RWD setups, are under very little load - there is less force pushing them onto the ground, which is why a little 250HP Toyota Yaris Turbo can wheelspin in 6th gear. Excessive power it a big problem with FWD cars in GT4, and it makes even the best-handling FWDs (Peugeot 106s, old Hondas) become understeering pigs, because the wheels spin rather than turn the car. If you're going much above 200HP, take a car with a RWD/4WD setup, because only very few (Alfa GT, etc.) cars are set up well enough to handle the 200+HP they come with.

Oh I know about why FF cars understeer, and how they don't like too much power. :D

I just think that Beetle kind of takes the biscuit, there's nothing you can really do about its understeer, because you end up with a sluggish tank of a car if you tinker too much... It just ruins the driving experience, it's not fun at all... 'Least I that's my opinion, and at 50 grand... It's starting to make that ol' 905 look like a potential bargain. :/

I would like to say though... Not all powerful FF's are evil!! (*Resists the temptation to say 'Only the German ones!!!'*)

Oops. :/

Definitely the Audi Union V16 Type C. I mean, I can't even make one lap on Suzuka without slamming into the wall, spinning out of control, and having to wait 5 hours just to get back onto the road. It may have over 500 horses under the hood, but it handles like a piece of (insert curse word here)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤬

I give it an F. A big fat F. 👎

I´m surprised noone has mentioned the Allmighty God of Undrivability: The Auto Union! Take it to the Ring and have a blast! It took me atleast 10 tries to get a somewhat clean lap, and it was still just 8:28!

I couldn't even get it past a third of the track.

About the Auto Union, I just got through with a run on the 'Ring with one. R2 tires, bone stock. I managed a 7:02.649 on a relatively clean run, the only problem being that if it ever spins out, it'll be a tough job of turning it back around -- that thing must have the turning radius of a sea-fairing cruise ship.

Ok that excuse for a car Toyota 7 Racer, man I have tried to race it but no avail, but i guess i am a sucker for licks cause i always beleive that i can finally tame it but you know the outcome.

Front: Soft racing tires
Back: Medium Racing tires
Front spring stiffness to medium
Front Spring travel very low (That helped a lot)
Front toe +1
Stabiliserses (Or however they're called in english) front 7
Brakes +2 to the front tires
Move 15% weight to the front
No driving aids.

That should make it much more competitive.:)

...this has a lot to do with GT keeping the same profile tires on no matter what rubber you put on the car...
No hard feelings, but I can tell you that this is false information, at least if applied to all cars. Buy a Lancer Evo *nomatterwhat* RS, take a look at the stock steel wheels. 15" or so, far too small. Then go and buy R class tyres for it and BOOM, look, 17" or 18" wheels are there.

The same applies at least to R32 Skylines, I've been playing a lot with them and the change really is noticable. 👍

A new addition: the STRATOS. I can't countersteer it, it just aggravates it, and even stock it has a mind of its own (with 185 horses!)

Rally-roadcars. Says anything?

The Stratos was the first purposely-built rally/roadcar. About 500 were built, which was the minimum limit for FIA-sanctioned Rally-events Homologation - the car was, basically, built to be a rallycar. Therefore, it handles like a rallycar of that time (Pre-4WD). And with that low-power stock-handling makes it an excellent tool to practice drifting. Yes, it has a mind of it's own - but it's just a mad copy of the driver :P

Sorry, I'm just trying to protect one of my favourites. Beautifull, Understeer = Inexistant, and Italian.

S'Ok. Oh well. I gotta learn how to drift!

Thanks for the explanation. Don't get me wrong. I like the car. It's just hard to control at times, hence why I posted it here.
