That promo code surely was not free? I mean it shouldn't be avaliable yet, so who the hell is giving promo codes? Did you win it?

Wow! A fellow Dane get's a hold of GT5: p! (Or beta?)

Anyways, I'm a little confussed whether GT5: p comes on Blu-Ray disc the 26. or the 28. of March... Some say 28, some say 26.

Either way, the day it comes on PlayStation Store (27. of March), I have been on these forums for exactly a year!

PM me the code and I would most certainly be happy to put it to the test, while I am not 100% doubting you, I'm sure you can understand why this all sounds a bit iffy.

Scaff

well why not publish the promotion code in here so that we all can get racing :sly:

I'm pretty sure a lot of people got this promotion code last Thursday (same day as the OP). A SCEE distributor gave it to us/me for (p)reviews and stuff.

Ah ok, makes sense, but lucky you got the game for free!👍

But I alreay paid for the disc version with extra movies, and I can take it to other PS3's and play! So I don't mind, maybe you colud give some exclusive content, bring even more more people here.;)

Okay, so...

a) why didn't you give out this info in the first place, so we wouldn't have had to fill this thread with more unnecessary posts?

b) if your download lacks videos (and probably other things), why can't you imagine that there's a significant difference in HDD size in regards to the disc version?

a) I thought you knew that straight away. Maybe I got it wrong, but that's the way the OP got a copy of the game? Sorry for any misunderstandings and wrong assumptions.

b) Because the remaining videoes are not viewable in GT TV yet. So the intro alone should take up 4 gb of space?

I didn't, and according to the questions, the others didn't as well. I didn't want to imply any harm with my asking though, so as we know what you do now, it's clear I guess. :)

Probably not, but who knows what other videos (and things?) are missing. I suppose there also is an ending sequence. And don't forget these are Full-HD videos, they take up quite some space.
Anyway, I can imagine that there is this difference in version sizes. If I remember correctly, the japanese disc version took up something between 4,5 and 5 GB on the HDD. So as this version has more content, I can well imagine that it has grown towards the 6.

bjaelke,

since i don't think my pm went through
figured i should just ask now

is the viper in the game 2008 or 2006 model?

You're surely a man from the north :sly:speak with few words like "the iceman" , no offense! Probably you guys go straight for the action :dunce:

Could you provide some extra screens for us? High Speed Ring?

All the info is appreciated a lot!

a) The OP has a Blu-ray version of the game, not downloaded from PSN. Surely you knew this?

b) I asked before but never got an answer from anyone. Is the INSTALLED game the same size as the actual download, or does decompression result in the final install taking up 6GB? Maybe the GT TV videos are not in the PSN version, but are included in the Blu-ray version?

Yes, but as I stated the copy was given to me from a SCEE distributor. Maybe the distributor in his area went for the Blu-ray version. They are independent companies more or less.

Yes. It does the ordinary demo install, but the first screen I posted is the final install size.

Wow!

Some really in depth discussions today obviously!

To all of the posters about various Aero on the F2007, as stated previously there were several different aero packages used on the F2007, so all of the pics and the game model are correct.

Also, going back to a previous F2007 topic, the rear wheel covers (disks filling in the area over the hub to improve aerodynamics and airflow to the brakes. In this situation again, there were several differing specs. The spec that started the season, didn't have the covers and so again, the model in GT5P is correct.

Interesting posts today guys, now i'm off to eat my (tesco brand) Race Car Birthday cake with my friends....

It's the V1 of the race car cake without winglets on the sidepods and with the highly advanced marzipan paint scheme....before anyone debates about it!
