Think along the lines of nearly a year. As the final date for GT5 kept backing off I warmed more and more to the idea of Prologue. Now I am sold. I wasn't going to pay $40 if GT5 would have met its original planned release of summer, but now that it looks to be 2009 it seems like a good deal.I didnt think there would be one, I just dont want to shell out the money for prologue until I know when the full game will be released so a demo would have been cool but slightly pointless. Living in hope![]()
So, after playing GT games for 10 years straight now you are not excited about GT5?Herein lies the problem - after playing GT5P to death, just how much are you going to crave GT5 when it finally launches?! Not as much as if you had waited I can tell you that!
There is our differences. I still find some small gem of a car in GT4 that I haven't driven yet and it reignites a multi-hour stint of playing way later than is healthy for getting up to go to work at 6:00 AM.or it may just have more cars and tracks. For me, just having more cars and tracks wouldnt excite me as much as I would like, and that would be greatly dissapointing.
How the heck did you come to that conclusion?! Yes, of course I am excited about GT5...as an update to GT4. By giving us Prologue, we are getting what I believe to be a hefty chunk of what the final game will be like. This is great, of course, but as I've said before, I don't want to race for countless hours unlocking all the cars, only to have to do it all again in the full game. Hence why I'm interested to know what you will be able to transfer. So, after playing GT games for 10 years straight now you are not excited about GT5?
Maybe I am just different, but the only time I don't play some GT game in a week is if I just got a new game.
Davethestalker, just copy and paste! going to go make a 1080p wallpaper of this one and another, any requests
I guess I misunderstood your context because I thought your comment about playing GT5P to death was separate from Ethe transferring issue, mainly because you talked about being excited. How the heck did you come to that conclusion?! Hereward, do you have the original images of those posted on "cynamite"? I'd love to add them all to our gallery here on GTPlanet.Davethestalker, just copy and paste! going to go make a 1080p wallpaper of this one and another, any requests?
A question for amar212 and others with the PAL game: if you save replays of new vehicles (F40, GT-LM, F2007, etc.) and then attempt to load the replay in an imported Japanese copy, what happens? Assuming that these cars are "hidden" in the JPN copy is, of course, a tremendous stretch of the imagination and highly doubtful, but it would be an interesting discovery nonetheless.
you bastard!imagining the norschleife??..was there a few days ago ...![]()
It's not a hefty chunk in "percentage of final content" terms, but as a cohesive game experience, the same percentages don't really apply. Still, I guess it's a pointless debate on my part because I'll be getting it anway!6 tracks and 70 cars is by no means a hefty chunk. Wouldn't be surprised if it was only about a tenth of what GT5 will be.
As for what we are going to be able to transfer who knows . But whaterver it is if anything at least we'll have another head start
Fair enough FK, and I hear what you are saying. As I've said before as well, I'm sure that I'll play Prologue loads up-front, and less as the year goes on, more games come out, and the final GT5 gets closer. I love the GT series, but not enough to play through GT1, GT2 and GT3 again!I guess I misunderstood your context because I thought your comment about playing GT5P to death was separate from Ethe transferring issue, mainly because you talked about being excited.
Looking at it in the proper context. As someone who is currently replaying GT1 and and hopes to replay GT2, and maybe even GT3 (don't know if I will have time), I doubt I will dislike the idea of starting over too much. Especially as the layout of Prologue as I understand it is slightly different from GT mode without any licenses and whatnot.
Plus, how fun is a garage of 70 cars if you aren't able to use most of them in the races they would be allowed in because you have no licenses.
Besides, as I am looking at Prologue as a completely separate game my mentality is that it won't be any different than going from GT3 to GT4.
