I wanted to give everyone a short preview of the amuse s2000. It's really an amazing car to drive, the acceleration is unbelievable fast for a 4 cylinder engine. I was amazed how much effort pd put into designing the cockpit it really does look like the cockpit of the s2000. In the end: Just watch the video :sly:

here the download it's on megaupload because the video is 125mb. But i think it's worth it! (I recorded it with my Sony HDR-CX7 so it's in 720p)

I am currently uploading it to dailymotion because they allow HighDef stuff (dailymotion is the same as youtube) just little better :-)


Update: Yes the Interior color is red, like the original :-). As far as I can remember keichi was testing it on the touge, I don't know which exact episode of best motoring it was.

Hi. Fresh member here. Been expecting GT5P for a while now, and tomorrow it's here! Can't wait :) PS3 is my first gaming console to be honest, so my only previous GT experience is a few gaming nights with buddies with the old GT2 and Mitsubishi 3000GT. Good memories. Big thanks to Amar212's for the great info! Can't wait to drive the Audi R8 and Ferrari F40 :D

I'm also considering buying a Playseat Evolution and the Logitech G25. I have a DFP, well worn from driving LFS. Does anyone here have the Playseat Evolution and can share some experiences with mounting the G25? Does it fit well, and the gearshifter adapter works OK?

Great video! Nice to see it in high-res. I love how you are blinded by the light as you exit the tunnel, and the cockpit details look great. I wasn't expecting the dials to actually be lit up in darkness, but I was wrong :D

Btw, I'm a new member, so hi everybody. Two days to go before I put the disc into my PS3. Can't wait! I have a DFP at the moment, but will definitely buy a Playseat and the G25 as well. I've done some hundred hours in LFS and no other racing games have impressed me until I got my hands on this. I never really got into GTR and rFactor was just in the start of development so it wasn't any good. Looking forward to this!

No I was driving in professional mode with my g25. It's just no the same when you are driving in standard mode, the back won't start sliding even with disabled driving aids etc and I really like gran turismo because of the realism and the variety of cars you can choose from

Yeah, I have the JP game and that's why I asked. The car looks so easy to drive that it looks like Standard physics.

Then I guess you made it look easy.

hi Numer0bis, thanks for the video! It is truly just like the real car, although I thought the tunnel would be louder. From personal experience (non-amuse s2000), the sound going through the tunnel should sound almost make you jump when you hear it. Maybe my laptop just does'nt do it justice?
 
well yeah because it's recorded with the internal mic from my camera, altough there are 5 mics (for surround recording) it really doesn't do justice. The sound is really amazing especially when vtec kicks in the tunnel with the turbo You can hear the engine screaming for more revs.

Well yeah it looks really easy, but the car is really a hassle to drive in professional mode. It's so twichty that you really have to be careful on the gas at the end of every corner or you will just end up spinning. Imagine the ferrari 599 without aids in professional mode and now imagine about 2 - 3 times worse than you get the amuse, if you watch carefully you should notice that I am really careful on the throttle because I wanted to to a clean lap for you guys :)
The Amuse has really good grip because of the massive spoiler until you reach a certain point where the downforce isn't enough and the rear will get loose and if that happens you really have to be awake to recover that baby.

well you really need the spoiler, or all the power from the engine will just end in heavy tire smoke

By the way, Whey the people call the tuned Car GT40? It looks like a GT but tuned up, LM edition. GT40 is an older car.
 
Now that you've given us the taste of blood, are there any more high-res videos available for download? Amar's videos are great for demonstrational purposes, but really don't to the graphics justice. I don't mind downloading several hundred megs if it looks like that!
 
well tonight I can record some more movies if you like, but I don't have so many cars yet, because they are expensive :D. I was up all night yesterday just for the amuse s2000 but the car looked so good that I had to do it. The easiest way to earn money is to just to the the first race in Class A. It's so easy (daytona 500) and gives you 20'000 cr in 5 minutes (each lap is under 1 minute and race is 5 laps). In total I earned about 700'000 cr at the moment, you just have to add to 00 to the end and you get the amount in JP credits so 70'000'000
