The front page for the Official Gran Turismo website has been updated. Note the term "GRAN TURISMO 5 Prologue spec II" is now being used for all regions. I think it's safe to say the Japanese version will be updated very soon.

Agree, I saw it a while ago. He is so biased to Gran Turismo.

One thing he didn't complain about that is a big issue in Gran Turismo (graphics wise). Look when the back of the car is not facing the sun, it is way too dark.

Its not way too dark, its the Japanese versions have different settings compared to US and EURO version, See the other ones, and they are way lighter.
 
But if he review it with Japanese spec TV it would been brigher.. Besides in real life, IF you are in sunny day, go to a dark room, YOU CANT SEE ANYTHING for a minute or 2.

It is still wrong.
Do you even know what I am talking about? It is still out in an open bright day, no part of the car should look that dark (would still be too dark on a brighter TV).

No, exterior. Go in to bird view (back of the car). Position the car so the sun face the front of the car so the back doesn't get any sun light. Something is really wrong there and I hope it is or gets fixed in PAL/NTSC (USA) version.
 
First thing I'll do with my US copy, I won't race the cars, I'll Brake the heck out of them since there are no more ABS, hehe

OK, gonna check it after I finish updating, but it is going at a snail pace :ouch:

I played a couple of hours before, tho, and I think lighting has improved over the JP version (have both, PAL and JP), specially the reflections, the blinding effect when you are getting out of the tunnel of High Speed Ring is simply amazing.

EDIT: The update got ****ed up, so I'm checking it right now.

EDIT2: Yup, it is still dark.
 
They need better servers, since this is Prologue, I bet they are spending less money on servers then they will in full game.. THEY BETTER or else*wrarr*
 
haha that blindig thing is cause of HDR. In a PC game called Far Cry HDR levels are insane it blinds you too. HDR is the best thing next to nothing since finally games recieve lighting similar to real life so then games don't look like at dawn all the time during daylight. Of cource HDR has some issues, but overall it's a marvel.

If only there was a way to get GT updates like PS3 updates.

I always use a download manager to get PS3 updates from my PC. Download from PC in a couple of minutes, when the PS3 takes ages.
 
I think its because many try to DL at the same time.. Last update for the 2.0 BD player took about 10 minutes :) I guess its a lot less hustle then Using a USB drive to save it from PC, go to other room, stick it in and etc LOL im lazy !

Took 3 tires to get the Japanese version to download :)
 
I am sorry to go a little off the current topic, but can someone (who's played the EU version) tell me, what are pit stops like?
I actually dont even know if there's tyre / tire (:P) wear / heat-up etc.
 
OMG i've got him. I raced the C and B races yesterday evening. I was working yesterday and then i saw that Gran Turismo 5 prologue was already in stock. So i directly get myself a copy and now i can play gt5 p also(officialy the game can be bought friday (BD version)). Srry if my english is bad. But i finally can do what amar has already done. Thanks for the updates amar. It really helpt with not buing the wrong cars. Tonight i'm going to start with the A class races.

:) about buying the wrong cars, think I'm to thickheaded in this one. I'll buy an Alfa or the Lancia Delta Integrale from the start. :dunce: , maybe a wrong choice to finish the game "fast" but choice is made on emotion rather than common sence :crazy:

yeah choose whichever car you like. I chose the honda integra type r jut for the simple fact that I own a honda civic type r and like vtec :-). There is no meaning in finishing the game fast. It should be fun and rewarding. I just cleared the A class last night and now I am just scrapping some money to buy my favorite cars right know, like the mines bnr-34 skyline etc.. even though I haven't manage to clear one S class event yet
 
I just saw interesting feature... when you turn on "replay" in demo options you could see replays from other drivers (probably from Time Attack and drift events)
