A question:
They release a new patch called GT5 Prologue Spec II, ok...
If y have buyed the blue ray GT:P version, how can y update it?? how can y install my Blue Ray GT5:P in my HD to update it?
Amar, can you explain it, please? :)
Thanks

HDD installation of GT5:P is mandatory. So, when you connect PS3 to internet after installing a game to PS3, game will prompt the automatic download of the Spec II update.

Simple.

Those videos are awesome and my first look at in game video of the DB9!! Yay!!! Looks awesome, just means the next few days until it turns up are going to go V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y.....

+ 1 ... I have 24hrs till I pick it up, or one more sleep, or 1440 Mins, or 86400 secs...

Sorry? you need install obligatory the GT5 Prologue in the Hard disk?

You cant play with the Blue Ray disk like in PS2 happens?:crazy:

Thanks for the quick answes Amar :):)

Nope you have to make an installation of GT5P, it takes roughly 10-15 minutes or so. EU version atleast, don't know about the US version.

ehm...thanks mate :)

So, in PS3, it is necesary make a installation with all the games...

Interesting :sly:

Edit: I forgot it, after instalation, when y want play, y need do it with the BlueRay disc on it?

In the last vid of SCEA you can see some tsuiso (2p drift) action going on between the RX7 FD and RX8. Does this mean that we will have drift battle's in the full GT5.

proly not 2 player drift mode, but rather two player mode with both cars drifting.

Just picked up my copy of GT5P from worten, here in Portugal... too hastly, maybe, as when I got home I found out there's only one disk - no extra DVD for me!
When I launched the game it said an update was available (after just having to update the system software, too - luckily that I can do through my PC with the flash drive); after three attempts I keep getting an error message - and I never had any trouble with the updates of the Japanese version... I've tried from the TV menu, the news, but no luck... I'm gonna retry in the early hours of tomorrow and hope for better luck!

My question now is should I begin my progression in the game? This seems a bit weird, especially after reading Amar's last update and finding out that there are now new events... will I be able to save and keep my progression?

No idea, if it was me I'd go have a little fun with it first until you can get the update, think there were a few people haveing to try multiple times to get the update before it worked, have a look a few pages back.

I should think you game progress will be fine as it's the update for the online side of things.
I had no trouble when I updated my JPN version.

I anticipate some fun when 1 million GT5:P players all try to download the update on Friday.

What about when we all try to go online? :P

so here we go again. Two more videos of the Amuse / Opera Performance 350Z RS and the FordGT Concept by Gran Turismo, which I just purchased about 20 minutes ago. Just had enough money for both of them (playing all the evening just for you guys to deliver some more good looking cockpits :-)

Please bear with my driving I did my best on my first attempt because I just wanted to get the videos out quickly for you guys. I hope I am not that bad at driving :-(

p.s. It's really late here in Switzerland (actually 2 am and I just wanted to push out the videos so I hope the videos are fine, sorry for the big filesize but I did what I could do, original files were more than 500 mb so I think it's should be ok at around 140 mb for each file, sorry for all, who don't have the bandwidth to download the movie but for them I provided a screenshot so they don't miss everything)

Youtube of Ford GT video?????

I was wondering if the ABS in GT would ever be corrected, now fans of cars that originally had no ABS (Like the old AE86 Toyota Sprinter Trueno, or "Hachi-roku!") can drive them with the original challenge they presented in real-life

Wait 'till my friends hear this tomorrow, too bad I can't put those videos on my PSP :indiff:

Numer0bis went scurrying away a short time ago......go on the ABS thread and you'll find a demonstration vid of how not to brake with no ABS in a honda NSX LOL he's done it again....he even speaks in this one! and yeah the physics are spot on, just the fronts lock up at first then after the speed has scrubed of in a cloud of smoke the rears lock up as well. classic vid!

Very nice to see the wheels locking up, thanks for the video.

That Vs video I saw on youtube yesterday, it was very interesting. Forza's physics are not realistic period, that oversteer temper of the game makes me sick and cars look little weird and unnatural, GT4 is much better.

I know the video your on about and yes i agree

Just read this

Play.com has issued a message that initial shipments of GT5 Prologue, for March 25th, are all gone. If you place an order on or after today via Play.com, you will have to wait until March 31st for your order to be processed, and then-some for shipment time. What's especially impressive about this is it looks like PlayStation 3 owners still prefer the tried-and-true method of walking into a store (or going online) and actually owning a physical copy of a videogame.
