I think I got screwed by the "wall bouncers" at Madrid. I'm only out about 0.5 seconds forum 16th in the West, currently 30th with a 2:44.834. At my peak I was 12th in the West late this morning.

I've been pounding around Madrid for hours without bouncing, but can't beat my morning best time of 1:39.2xx. Rome is 1:05.5xx and I think comes down to luck to go any faster. If I wanted to I could "bounce" to get the 0.5 or more I need, but I refuse to do it fir the sake of clean racing and fear of potential DQ, as rumors are flying around right now.

If I feel better after a motivational movie break, I'll try again, but unless I either pull miracle clean laps in spite of the cheaters filling our leaderboards, the cheaters finally get DQed, or the tracks (or Round 2) get reset again, I think it's the end of my good run. At least I thought it was a good run considering I only started playing this game in early December. Not bad for me for about 1.5 month experience.

Same boat as you, nearly same times. Take a break, keep pushing. I couldnt get below 1'39.2 at madrid, but I kept with it and got a 1'39.048. Just want to get under 1'39.

Thanks for the encouragement. Still taking a break, but will be back on it in about an hour or so. Having a refreshing drink while watching some Top Gear and Best Motoring.

No more excuses, everyone wins!

Ugh, what a disappointment. I woke up early this morning from the jet lag again, spent a few hours at the wheel and got to a 1:38.5 and 1:05.1. 3rd in NE, 4th overall.

Not 10 minutes after I log out, they cancelled the round. I even backed out of a lap that I wall tapped by accident figuring they'll just invalidate cheaters laps.

At least it sounds like they'll fix it right for the next round... You'd think they would have done more upfront testing, this makes PD look pretty bad.
