Back in January there was a seasonal 450pp Euro Hot Hatches at Brands Hatch and I imagine any of those cars suggested for that race could easily win the new seasonal at the Red Bull track. One car in particular surprised the hell out of me when I tried it: Abarth 500 '09 (450PP SH) (Courtesy of Praiano63) There's something fun about having this goofy little hatch chasing down Mustangs and NSXes and RX7s and beating them handily. This car is definitely one of those that I'd never be caught dead in in real life, but in this game I love it to pieces.

I'm going to be racing the crap out of the 500pp seasonal because I love that track (backwards and forwards) and I really like all the car options in the 500pp range. Pretty much any of the 500pp tunes will probably win this race if the driver is at least semi-competent (I myself fall into the semi-competent category) but here are a few I've tried and liked:
BMW M4 Coupe (500PP SH) This one is already listed but I ran it a few times and it's sort of my benchmark. I love this car and tune.
Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R '00 (500PP SH) I bought this car because it was the second car I got in GT3 and I was feeling nostalgic. Overall not too bad, about a second or two slower than the BMW and a little dicey if you go overboard on the gas in the corners.
Ford SVT F-150 Lightning '03 (500PP SH) While I was shopping at the Ford store I couldn't help myself. This is one fast truck. It's fun to play a bit of the bully on the track since you've got about 200 or 300 more kilos to toss around. Like the 'Stang, it's picky about throttle in the corners and you have to back off even more due to the weight resulting in an extra 1 or 2 seconds per lap.
Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track '13 (500PP SH) Here is a poor man's M4. Fantastic car for the price (little more than 1/4 the price of the M4). Not that credits are ever really an issue... I started driving this car immediately after the F-150 so naturally I was over-braking and getting slow laps, but after realizing that I could push harder it I started getting some nice lap times (very close to the M4)
Mazda RX-8 Type S '07 (500pp SH) So far this is the only car I've tested with a faster lap time than the M4, but I think I need to go back and do a few more laps with the M4 since I'm now more familiar with the track. This car is also special to me because I have it in the exact same color as the Mazda3 I used to own IRL. Zoom zoom!

Next up I think I'm going to run a few muscle cars, and maybe after that start filling in my TVR collection.

Hi Shaun, I always like to try the seasonal in lower power cars than stated and for the Beginners Level Non-Race Car Challenge, your Mini Cooper S '05 with 400PP and comfort soft tyres was an absolute peach....had the lead half way round lap 3. Great tune...as usual. You can make even me look like a semi competent driver. Never posted before but thanks for all your hard work from the many many silent gamers who use your tunes on a daily basis.

A good selection of cars there. Nice to see a truck in there too. That Genesis car is very underrated and definitely under used. Not as quick as a beemer but handling is pretty much like for like. :)

Mini cars do hold pride of place in my garage. I gave these cars some extra love and they are still working well today.
Hello Shaun, here are a few more tunes for seasonal gold. Beginner's Level Non-Race Car Challenge Chrysler Crossfire '04 (450PP SH) Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge Jaguar XKR Coupe '99 (500PP SH)
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) '99 (500PP SH) I used the Nissan Zytek also for the expert event. As always thanks for the much appreciated tunes.
Ah, A Jag! Love a good jag. The Skyline is also a good call for this PP. Definitely overkill in the performance department but who doesn't love a skyline?
Hello Shaun and thank you for all your great tunes!

Beginners level was easy with your Citroen Xantia 3.0
Intermediate level was as smooth as Ford RS200
Easy win also in Expert level with a reduced Chaparral 2J (praianos63 tune).

All wins with first try and I am a bellow average driver.

Thank you again and keep the good work!
A V6 FF car.. Interesting choice and probably one of the less pleasing cars to look at. Well done on getting a win in such a car though. Nice call on the Ford RS200. What a great car and looks good on track too!

All tunes mentioned have been added to the list. Thank you for letting me know :)

Nice tune Shaun. Got me from 9th to 4th. First attempt in this race with it.
Car handles real nice. Stable and quick. Cheers.

OK, I've done some muscle car testing in the 500pp seasonal. I tested all of the muscle cars that are set up to use SH tires. Any of those with SM/SS I left alone. I suppose I could've tinkered with the suspensions to account for reduced grip, but with all of the great tunes already available I don't think anyone's going to need to go out of their way to find a car that works for them. Tested:

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69
Dodge Charger 440 R/T '70
Mercury Cougar XR-7 '67
Plymouth Cuda 440 Six Pack '71
Plymouth Superbird '70
Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '78
Shelby GT350 '65

I should say that I have an ever-so-slight bias toward Mopar and Ford over GM. The reason I say this is because much to my surprise the two cars I most highly recommend are:

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 (500PP SH) If I didn't know what I was driving I would assume this was a modern car, not one from '69. It has none of the shimmy and sway of most older cars.

Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '78 (500PP SH) "Thanks for the ride, Bandit. Good luck tapping some of that hot... hot... Sally Field tail."

Honorable mentions
Plymouth Superbird '70 (500PP SH) This car is glued to the track... Until it's not. With most cars you can sort of feel when you're pushing them, this one is fine one moment, sideways the next. It doesn't happen often and I still managed good laps with it.

Shelby GT350 '65 (500PP SH) I couldn't get more than two clean laps in a row with this wild child, but I had fun trying. Still an easy win even with the chicanery.

Hi Shaun managed an easy win in the Intermediate Level Non Race Car Challenge with another car slightly below the PP limit using your Volvo C30 R Design '09 (470PP SH). I had to admit defeat in the Expert Level though. I couldn't find anything below the PP limit that would give a win and can't add to anything which hasn't already been said......use your Nissan Zytec.....its superb

Excellent, Keep going and you will get 1st place in no time.

Very nice selection of american muscle cars there. I know a few people (@Bowtie-muscle in particular) would be pleased to see this much american muscle going around this track. Thank you for the reviews and the Chevy '69 is one of the best "old" cars in the game as far as I am concerned. Very easy to drive at the limit and not be intimidated by. :)

Nice find in the FF Volvo. One of my tunes which was left over from a FITT event ages ago. It is an odd car indeed and definitely underused but I am glad to see that you found a use for it. I don't think anything below PP will win the expert level event this time around. It is a tough event for sure.

Try the AAR Cuda as well, but don't forget the 69 Corvette Convertible. They should do it even easier. Have not tried but, the Pozzi RS, if you can get down to 500pp that is, is likely the only thing close to the 69 Z28. With the right setup, a Mach 1 or Cobra R should work as well.

I used the 96 Grand Sport. ;)

Hey,

i hope you don't mind,but i've a request for some cars.
can you build a 450pp and 500pp race track tune for these, they're rotting away in my box,i really like to use them for some seasonals (if the rules allow it) in future.
If you don't want or don't have time for it,i'll understand ;).
Thanks in advance.

I will definitely add them to the list. Could be a while till I get to them though. Right now I am working on some of the prize cars but with the lack of GT6 playing time I am not getting very far. I have lots of credits these days so purchasing these cars won't be an issue.

I took down the ai cars field of European cars and a single Corvette.. with no worries or problems. the setup is awesome, the car a classic.. got the gold, credits, paint chips and the prize car... This car does not have the same handling as the M3 or the Audi but it is very fast in a straight line and it will go round corners as long as you don't overcook the throttle on entry. It is a sweet ride which cruises to wins very easily.

A Spec Seasonal Races (Updated 7/4/16)

New seasonal races are upon us. If you find a tune in my garage that gets you the win, let me (and everyone else) know and it will be added to the list below. Many thanks for your continued support. :)

Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge

Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '78 (500PP SH)

Sweet. Wanted to try another car besides the others already raced so bought this car as you offered it up for the Seasonal. Such an awesome classic car a la Smokey and the Bandit it made for a nice addition to the garage.
Have no idea how it drives without the tune but it drives so perfectly with the tune it was a pleasure to drive. Yet another Gold.
Just wanted to let you know. Cheers again master tuner for your excellent tunes.

I just tried the Plymouth AAR Cuda 340 Six Barrel '70 (500PP SS). Fun car. Only change I made was I loosened the springs by 10% (9.54 / 6.12) since the tune calls for SS tires and the event is SH. Can't get tip-top lap times, but that's not really the point with the old muscle cars.

Your welcome. A fun car and a little tail happy at times but so much fun at the same time.
Warning, do not praise Shaun up to much because it may go to his head .
Nah, that will never happen. I still believe that some of my tunes could be improved a little bit if I had the time to do so. :) Always room for improvement.
I will add this car to the list. Thanks for testing it out. :)
For the Beginner's Level Non-Race Car Challenge I use your Nissan March 12SR '07 (350PP CS) and I just won thank you .
A nice low powered car, I love the funny looks of this car with its airplane wing on the back.
Hi Shaun, another one for the 450pp Beginner's Seasonal list is your Mini Cooper 1.3i '98 with only 320pp. What a hoot, so slow down the straight's but fab round the bends. I love using an underpowered car against more powerful opposition.
That is a mega-powered down car. Nice choice and definitely going on the list. Thanks!
