Simplistic design, stunning looks and an engine note to die for. The ultimate driving machine.
Retuned at nearly 500PP on SH Tyres to win the A Spec Seasonal (550PP SM at Apricot Hill). I came in first place after two attempts with this car. Very nice car but excellent throttle control is required on the corners to stop the rear end from smoking up and losing all the traction. This car gives you a good feeling when you get it completely right as it repays you with good racing and consistent lap times. (for me, it was 1.37s for 5 laps in a row)

You will recall that I mentioned a car from a guest tuner for the hard work of @LordJCS and @cbarbosa and all the time they put in. Well this tune is in recognition of that and you will be able to get back the time you spent for the FITT challenge. All you have to do is hit 88mph and you can go back to before it all began. Enjoy
This tune is courtesy of @Bowtie-muscle to whom I wish many thanks for this favour. Much obliged.

A fine example of american muscle. This tune makes this car easier on the handling aspect whilst maintaining some of the muscle heritage. Drive it sensibly through the corners and it will be a smooth ride. This car is plenty quick enough on the straights to make up for the slow in, quick out approach that this tune favours Pearl White paint for a pearly ride. Enjoy

A few more tunes to add to the list of winners in the Intermediate challenge.
Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge
Abarth 500 '09 (450PP SH) (Courtesy of Praiano63) at 466PP
Oullim Motors Spirra Prototype '04 reduced at 500pp SH tyres
KTM X-bow R '12 reduced at 499PP
Expert Level Race Car Challenge
Toyota TS030 Hybrid '12 at 600PP
Two more for the Beginners Seasonal Challenge.
Honda Civic 1500 3 Door '79.(350pp) I feel you might have been a little unkind about this car in your tune, I think it handles pretty well. As you say, it won't pull the skin off your face but it was still quick enough to win.
Nissan Bluebird 1600 DeLuxe (510) '69 (350pp)
This is quite a surprise, at only 875Kg and 111Hp I feel it has genuine pace at this pp rating. I just slapped on SH tyres.
Who says the AI never crashes...
The Chaparral 2J is capable of a win and it's a lot more forgiving around the corners due to all that vacuum downforce. I used a tune from priano and took the limiter down to 67.7%, ended up with the win after only a few tries. I too will be testing other race cars to try and get a win with a "legal" car.I am going to test some racing cars setups because for me the Zytek and the TS030 are not working...Lets see if we can add some cars to that list
Added to the list. Not a surprise this car is so good around this track. The only bad thing about this car is that is it standard. The handling more than makes up for that anyway so it can be forgiven. This BMW M3 CSL '03 (500PP SH) tune is outstanding for the Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge, and it handles so well and yo get a 👍, and from me.View attachment 537563
A few more tunes to add to the list of winners in the Intermediate challenge.
If my maths are correct you are averaging lap times in the low 1:21 range. My best laps with that same car are low-middle 1:24 range. I'd love to know where you're getting 3 to 5 seconds on me because I feel like I'm giving it all she's got, Captain, and any time I try to squeeze more I end up facing the other direction. That being said, I've seen some other times on various tracks from you and others around here that make my head spin, so I guess I should be happy it's ONLY 3 seconds. 👍This BMW M3 CSL '03 (500PP SH) tune is outstanding for the Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge, and it handles so well and yo get a 👍, and from me.View attachment 537563

I use a G29 wheel left foot braking and Trail braking as well.If my maths are correct you are averaging lap times in the low 1:21 range. My best laps with that same car are low-middle 1:24 range. This is how I figured the average lap time in case anyone doesn't already know this:
You can't just divide the total time by the amount of laps because there is a lead in time on the race; the total time clock starts before you've crossed the start line and your lap timers start after you've crossed the start line.
You have to go into the replay and pause right after your lap starts, then subtract whatever amount is on your lap timer from the total time to figure out the lead in time.
I paused the game 0.034 seconds after the race started and the total time was 31.483 so the lead in time is 31.449 (31.483 minus 0.034). This will be the same every time you start the race.
After you've got your lead in time, you can subtract that time from your total at the end of the race from the race results board (converted to seconds). So fordlaser777's total time was 7:17.017, converted to just seconds, 437.017. Subtract the lead in time:
437.017 minus 31.449 = 405.568
THEN you can divide it by the amount of laps (5) to get an average lap time.
405.568 / 5 = 81.134
and back to minutes and seconds:
1:21.134 average lap time.
Thanks for the reply. I should have known that it wasn't just a matter of "go faster in these turns" but a fundamentally different approach to driving the car. Oh, and of course much more practice and experience.I use a G29 wheel left foot braking and Trail braking as well.
I use a G29 wheel
Rip Thrustmaster T300rs
Yes it has got a switchStill considering which one to buy. The Thrustmaster T150 or the Logitech G29 (much more expensive though but the only brand wheel which is readily available at local store). Decisions, decisions. tick tock tick tock.
Re the Logitech G29. No probs with playing GT6 in terms of compatibility? Reason for asking is I know at least the Trustmaster has a PS3/PS4 switch for choosing whichever but not so sure 'bout the Logitech G29.
Yes it has got a switch
There should be one year warrantyI´m unhappy since yesterday My belovede wheel has died Rip Thrustmaster T300rs
Thanks for the review. I will get this car added to the list. It seems underpowered for a Jag but it was designed to be a hidden gem at this PP range.I just ran the 500pp seasonal in the Jaguar XK Coupe Luxury '07 (450PP SH) since someone suggested running these seasonal races in lower pp cars to make it a bit more sporting. I love this car and tune. It's so forgiving, you can brake late, mash the throttle too hard in a turn and it always seems to keep on chugging forward. I actually think this car might make me a worse driver because it lets me get away with so much. I need to drive more finicky cars. I happened to get a group of opponents filled with British cars (9 out of 11 opponents) and it was quite nice to hand it to all of them in another British car 50pp under the limit.
Oh dear, hope you get a new one quick. As @chrisspeed281 says, your warranty should be valid as you haven't had it that long.I´m unhappy since yesterday My belovede wheel has died Rip Thrustmaster T300rs
