F.S.R. - Club is closed indefinitely

So, I'm here engaging in my usual after-work 420 session when it occurred to me...

The Wangan Masters Club on GT6 will be gone... Replaced by a project I'd been working on for the latter part of a year.

Never fear!! You won't have to sign up again to the club.. But the events will be deleted. You will see my magnum opus soon enough.

See y'all on the Wangan!

So the club name and details have been updated. Please check it out and voice your opinions and questions here and/or the in-game forums.

That NSX was quite a daunting opponent, kept me on my toes. Love close battles like those. 👍

Hey everyone!!

I haveth an announcement I want to maketh.

After nearly a year of speculation and waiting, we still don't have a course maker. But now that we have the community features, the advent of CC is palpable.

I want to invite all my GTP brethren to join the Federation of Street Racers Club on GT6 COMMUNITY.

-----

There, you'll find a variety of street-racing-inspired events. Touge, Wangan, road races, drift trials, news, media, etc.

This is a project I've been working on for a long time. Unfortunately it never came to fruition since community features weren't available at launch.

Originally the idea was conceived by myself and @optomuscrime during GT5's last month's. This isn't meant to be a competitor or replacement for any other clubs, instead it's simply a hub for all fans of street racing on Gran Turismo to convene.

Current events:

Wangan Masters Tournament ladder

Weekly Time Trial (430PP-CS Nissan S13 K's Dia Selection @deep Forest reverse)

Touge Battle Stage - L.O.T.S. Class A 4-lap race (Trial Mountain reverse)

-----

The club benefits from the support of the community. Daily and weekly events will be added regularly, as well as the seasonal Wangan ladder. Post in the club forums with suggestions for future events.

Thank you all for your support.

-----

I will be updating the OP on this thread to reflect said changes.

Second race of the season and It was... AWESOME! I am really enjoying racing new people with an interest in highway racing, great run definitely.

I'm currently filling out the battle entries to do leaderboard calculations... who came in 3rd and 4th in this race?

Inviting all our friends is a start. Convincing them to join a regulated lobby would be an even greater step!

And, as you've seen, the club hosts a variety of different events. Maybe they could come for Wangan and stay for Touge or one-make races.

Hey everyone!

I'm gonna be online tonight hosting a Wangan Tokyo lobby. Trynna get as many battles in before the end of Week 3.

Also, at 7PM EST I'll be hosting the Miata TC Series exhibition race. To introduce the series and is enough interest is sparked, it'll become a seasonal points ladder.

See you all tonight!!

We should start scheduling races or posting here when someone opens a club lobby. The new TT is a blast also. :dopey:

That's a great idea!

I'll be posting the top 3 times of every time attack in the 'Past Events' section of the thread.

Feel free to post suggestions for future Time Trials and events.

Just posted the top times from last week's Time Trial, and will be updating Wangan Leaderboards soon.

Only a few days left in Season 6 of Wangan Masters!!

Time Trial 2 is already open. I'm seeing some good times there. Tricky course to drive at night... What do you guys think about this week's car and course selection?

Next week's TT is featuring the M4 at Cote d'Azur tuned to 530PP on Sports: Hard tires.

Had done really fun races at Rome last night with @G_Parrilla

I notice that if I don't clear my cache before joining a lobby then the chances of my game freezing at the start of a race are practically 100%.

The 'Cuda vs Countach race was exciting. Those classic sports cars are some of the most fun and challenging to drive. Was a pleasure.

Some very close battles, especially that last MC run. Got my "battle-lust" going. Great way to close out the season for me, unless of course someone else wants to challenge before it ends. I haven't run anybody less Snake this week, mainly because I missed the hot hours to get on. Thanks, finals!
