F1 2011 CO-OP R&D ObjectiveF1 2010-2016

My team mate Jimstans1984 and I are in our second race in CO-OP as I type this. We've come up to out first R&D Test durning P1. Now we've found out only the host gets to do the test. It looks like the CO-OP may turn out be good.

Yes you must finish the whole practice to get the upgrades. This is good.

you can just do the quick R&D laps and skip the sesson and it will still count.

Have you figured out if you can map out the R&D yourself? I tried to figure it out in co-op as the host and couldn't figure it out. I'm usually the #2 driver

The host gets the R&D in the first race as obviously its not clear who the 1st driver is yet.
But if the client beats the host in the first race and is leading the teammate challenge, they get the R&D in the next race.

This happened with me and Jerry_ORUK - he was host and got the R&D for Australia but I outqualified and outraced him. When we got to Malaysia practice I had the R&D option.

I don't think you have to finish the practice to achieve the objective. I think you can complete it and then skip the rest of the session to qualifying.

My team mate has outqualified me every race, though i have won every race. And i still don't get the R&D objective.

Yes probably because he will still be leading the teammate challenge - which compares:
Fastest laps, points, podiums, qualifying and race positions.
So say you out-raced him, but he outqualified you and managed fastest lap but neither of you scored points, he would still be ahead.

Presumably you have more points and more "out-raced". But have you both finished on the podium everytime? Does he have more fastest laps?

When you are in the garage during practice sessions whenever, you can view the teammate challenge there.

I have won every race, not sure about fastest laps, and he has only been on podium once, due to failing to finish the first two races.

Strange, guess we'll have to research this. I know I definitely have the R&D option at Malaysia in my current save against Jerry and he was certainly the host.
