One of the things I like about Formula 1 and the F1 website are the huge abundance of really great photography. I am a very visual person and it's pretty cool to be able to see so much related to this sport.

Cool stuff.

Not to seem like I'm plugging the pictures I took at the USGP this year, but you might be interested in them. A link is located in my signature.

I have signatures disabled. Care to link it in here?

Heh, I liked this one ...

That one is probably my favorite out of all of them. Oh, and those images are practically larger than 1500 X 1200 if you load the large version of each. I didn't feel like resizing them since Jordan's Image Gallery software does that automatically.

Motorsport photography is an immensely enjoyable hobby, because whenyou get the picture absolutely right (which is often about blind luck more than anything else), you can make someone gasp at the qualilty of the picture.

It is very critical of camera equipment though, especially lens length. Matrixhasu77 has this problem, his pictures are very good, but he doesn't have a long enough lens.

By the way, here's one of my pictures - it's from the 2003 British GP.

You're absolutely right, Giles. It was very overcast(It rained on raceday) on race weekend and it did not help that the largest lense I had with me was only capable of 300mm zoom. Also, the camera itself was a 35mm. The only reason some of the Porsche Supercup pictures turned out so well is because I was next to the track over in turn 11.

they are not f1 pics. but considering how crap my FREE digital camera is, i think these pics i took a couple of weeks ago are quite impressive.
