Since Shumacher seems to be winning one race after another............i think it not worth watching since one on driver has been winning..................I am watching the indy cars and ALMS for now on

It's true that the thrill is a bit gone from F1 this season. But now that he is champion, MS won't fight for the victory that much and will problably help Rubens to a win or 2. So i think it will become more interesting the last couple of races:)

no its all ways mercedes that has the fastest lap, but they dont beat shcumi- or however u spell it

I like watching F1, as well as other forms of motorsport.

If you don't like it, don't watch it. :) (or did you lose your remote again) ;)

F1 Rules :D

If you look to France you'll see it isn't always Shumy on Pole :ferrari:..... He may win the majority of races but other drivers lead frequently too...:chkflag:

Plus Qulaifying is really exciting these days , the race is always full of surprises and there are some great battles going on....

Gee I'm not gonna :( if you stop watchin Powerman, it's your decision, and it could be your loss? :D

F1 is still a great sport. If the same guy wins all the time, it's not really an issue, because there's still plenty of stuff going on further down the field. If you only care who wins races, you're experiencing about 10% of what F1 has to offer.

Individual races (very few) bore the arse off me, but as a whole it's great.

But then each to their own....

It would probably depend on the kind of TV coverage you get and how it's presented (and sponsered) to how you regard F1.

It might have been an interesting season if F1 was like CART and awarded championship point(s) for winning the pole. Oh well i still enjoy it no matter who wins.

Occasionally F1 can be dull, but mostly for me its been quite exciting. Also thanks to some of you guys Ive come to respect (not like :P ) MS. The british GP was excellent and I really enjoyed the battle for pole in France, hmmmm monaco was a briliant race as well. Well now you might see ferarri stop sabbotaging Rubens car so we can see him get some glory.

Anyway F1= Great (not allways but great well thats if all the teams dont go bankrupt anyway)

Well, how good was that midfield battle at Hockenheim?

You kids should have been watching in '88, and '92/'93, oh yeah and '95.

Here's my favourite example on how close F1 actually is.

The gap from Pole to 20th placed Webber in Brazil qualifying was 3%

Ayrton Senna was 3% down on Mansell at Brazil 1992. He qualified 3rd.

Mansell took pole 14/16 races in 1992. He won 8 of the first 10.

1995 of course was only domination because Hill spent the year asleep or running into schumacher.

Its good to see Mclaren comming back into things obviously not this season but hopefully next then we will have a 3 team battle that would be nice

Allthough im a ferrari nut I would like to see coulthard do well hopefully come 2nd this season seeing as im scottish and all

Kimi Raikkonen i think thats how you spell it i will be watching his career with great interest he's got the making of world champ ...
The guy has talent

Trying to be a mod? Say something useful, not cruel. And though I'm not the spelling bee champion of the world, at least spell a few words correctly. Stop making people from Florida look bad...did you fail the FCAT or something?

Boo hoo, stop watching, and stop whining about F1. Despite only 20 cars, it really is quite close. Just not close enough right now, and the Ferrari is unusually reliable (1989, anyone?).

Face it, Michael Schumacher is just the best driver in F1 right now; same goes ten years ago, when everyone praised Senna; 15 years ago it was Prost.

Right now, Schuey is king, and the fun part will be guessing who shall be the one to consistently beat him fair and square. Unless he retires before that.

Personally I enjoy watching it F1. Not a single racing car can brake as fast as an F1 car nor corner like one.

As far as the championship well it is a fore gone conclusion we know that, but Rubins has not secured second place in the drivers championship yet and I hope he does. He deserves it after such a horrid season of bad luck.

Sometimes it's frustrating because of the coverage. Unfortunately we can't blame the channel only the directors working for a whole group of channels :teleport:

F1 Digital is good but will burn holes in your wallet :banghead:

How often do we hear, 'There's a really good battle going on, unfortunately the director hasn't spotted it yet'. To be fair they do good replay though? :smilewink:

Man that is a bit of a bother. Though I do not have digital TV, we still get good coverage thank god down here in kiwi land. TV1 runs it live from start to finish without a single comercial. I taped them all due to when the are broad casted I am usually sleeping.

here we get it live aswell but we get commercial interuptions throughout the race..
None for about 30 or so laps into the race then bam out of nowhere the commercials start up sometimes as frequently as every five minutes

many a time have i missed good crashes .. over taking .or just the good bits due to commercials

I wish the BBC still had the rights to F1 they would show the whole thing without breaks..

And i wish Murray was still commentating ..:(

Bernie WANTS to have commercials in the free-to-air coverage, as it helps to create a USP for the digital coverage. This is why the BBC were never even invited to tender for the new contract. Apparently (and you can read about this in Timothy Collings' excellent book The Piranha Club), Bernie simply told ITV that they'd have to pay £100m for the contract. ITV got the price down to £70m, and Bernie agreed. The previous contract had been awarded to the BBC for £7m. So Bernie phoned the BBC and said that the contract had gone to ITV. The BBC said that they hadn't even been given an opportunity to tender. Bernie said something along the lines of "That would have been a waste of your time and mine. You simply could not afford to beat what ITV are paying".

Of course, it makes sense for ITV to have the races, even though they are something of a logistical and scheduling problem for the one-channel company. The thing is that 18 - 40yo ABC12 males (that is the top three economic brackets, and the top two intelligence brackets) spend only 20-30% of their time watching telly, but 70% of them watch F1. Therefore, it's a guaranteed market for selling to advertisers of boy-stuff, like BMWs, razors, mobile phones, male cosmetics and the like.

And F1 is still worth watching in my opinion.

The three teams i hope do well, and follow every race are;

- Jaguar
- Minardi
- BAR

And like Razor said, TV1 give great coverage of the Formula 1 here.

- It's live
- At the most, there are about two ad breaks. (usually none though)
- Before and after the race, Bob McMurry (or someone. Used to work with the McLaren team) gives his views etc on the race.
- Most of the time the quality of the coverage is excellent.

Well, Red Bull is one of the products to avoid buying, simply because it's so unbelievably bad for you! Haven't seen/heard a Red Bull ad for a while, now you mention it.
