I have been having a little trouble with crafting.
Every now and then I cannot build an item, even though I have materials and appropriate rank, for instance, I build a turret but cannot build another. I have had this with different items in different settlements, I think it's a bug but thought I'd see if I have missed something, if any one knows.

It's this bug where Paladin Danse is stuck in his falling animation, and can't do anything.
Well, I had him get stuck behind my dog during the ArcJet mission, so he turned around and went back to the foyer where he clipped through a wall to get to his next scripted position - and in the process, he left me to deal with a room full of turrets (not that they were particularly challenging).

Did it look like he was flexing his arms?

While looking at the Data screen in Pip Boy I saw Starlight Drive-in down from 17 people to 13, happiness down and defence at 40, so decided to take a look. Found happiness at 80, defence at 100 and 24 people, it's a crazy world.

Anyone get into The Institute yet? No spoilers, of course, but holy 🤬 what a plot twist!

I experienced the same, if my memory serves me correctly it might be that the game does not allow a certain resource to go down to zero, once I collected enough resources so it would not get down to zero I could build a certain object again.

Anyway some snaps from my Sanctuary:

Still a work in progress.
Can't say that I have a lot of new settlers coming in, any advice to get more?
I'm now on 17 settlers in Sanctuary with about 30 food, 19 water and 55 defence.

Might have overdone it a bit on the defence part, with 2 normal and 2 heavy turrets at the front entrance, had all hell break loose because of one bloatfly.

Is there a way to change the look of my power armour? I have a few paint jobs - Minutemen and Flames - and the model B helmet and torso, but I was wondering if the physical shape changes. I don't just want enemies trembling in fear when I show up; I want my allies quaking in their boots.

I fell too far behind him to see. But he was still useful afterwards.

There are different versions of power armor, I think there's the: Raider version, T-45, T-51, T-60 and the X-01. The X-01 has huge shoulder pads that go around the back of it which makes it look much tougher than the others but with them being built for humans I don't think there's much variation in size across the the different power armor bases if any. You can mix power armor pieces so you could have an X-01 base with a T-60 helmet and Raider legs if you wanted.

I think these are the base models I listed from left to right.

Definitely giving that a go, there's such a discrepancy between indoor (ugly) and outdoor (nice) lighting. The fake lights are absolutely abysmal too, they should fire whoever designed that. Less is more in this case.

EDIT: Disabling fake lights is already part of the mod I'm using.

Just a warning though. It made the game a bit darker even if you use the brighter version of mod but definitely looks better and easier to the eyes.

Darker is good, the game is way too bright as it is, especially inside the lights are all over the place in harsh white, burning your eyes out. :P

Apparently, it's something different. Definitely trying this later today.

If you've ever modded New Vegas, it's like Fellout or Interior Lighting Overhaul (I think that's what it was called)

Well, I just stumbled upon probably the most tense moment I've had in a Fallout game. I was wandering around the edge of the border on the far wast when I came across (don't click the spoiler unless you want to know what's there);
Three Deathclaws and to top it all off, a Super Mutant Behemoth. For me, one of the two Deathclaws was a Legendary Alpha, whilst the other two were ordinary Deathclaws. Obviously this will change from game to game, but something to keep in mind if you go there.

I'll leave it there or else I'll ruin the whole approach to it. I encountered this without Power Armour, so keep that in mind as well.
Location is below and not in the spoiler so what's there isn't spoilt;

I am still struggling finding cryo ammo. This guy is the only person I could find with the ammo but he did not have any in stock. I bought a LOT of goodies from him last night. I heard Trashcan Carla has cyro ammo unfortunately my charisma was so high it gave me the option dialog and I ended up taking her caps. Now she will not trade with me. She actually drives me nuts. So nuts one night I saved, pulled out my fat man, and blew her away. Everyone got angry after that. So I quickly loaded my save. She is constantly annoying me now and always in Sanctuary. "Oh the Robber, I paid up so get lost". :ouch:

Arturo from Diamond city sells them, I just saw him with 150 rounds of Cyro Cell ammo just then :)

Joined the Brotherhood, and I was feeling pretty cocky with my 10mm pistol (since renamed the "Bad Samaratin") when they sent me to the Blood Bank. It wasn't too bad until I stumbled into the Glowing One and a legendary ghoul at the same time.

I survived, but I had about six shots left.

My Pip Boy shows exclaimation points beside certain statistics that are in the green, no idea why.

Random question, how do you set a custom waypoint like that?

Edit: I'm going to stick with the Minutemen btw, not many people seem to do that. They seem like a good group.

Maybe because it's dropping? I also noticed a red downward pointing arrow in the workbench UI at the settlers happiness while it was at 80. My guess was that's because it dropped from 81.

As for the Minutemen, you can round up that quest line and then pick another faction on top. So definitely go for it. :)

Hah. Do you lose special perks from the faction after completing it then joining another one? I heard Minutemen can call in Artillery strikes nearby settlements. I suppose you'd lose that if you then joined BOS? I hope I don't accidentally turn down BOS before finishing Minutemen then.

Just press X (on a PS4) wherever you want to put it and it should give you an option of moving it, placing it, or removing it. :)👍

I could swear I've tried that, I'll try it again next time I play but maybe mine is glitching.

Finally have all the bobbleheads! Really really enjoyed collecting them, and picked up some quests to do later while I was getting them. The Charisma one is a particular one to get, as it comes with a really good quest.

Nope, you don't lose those. Just make sure you accept the BOS after the final Minutemen quest.

Where can I get some good head gear? Right now, my head has my weakest armour, the yellow flight helmet. Most of the stuff that I have was dropped by legendary enemies, and I appreciate that their appearance and the gear that they drop is random, but I am wondering if there is a vendor with something stronger than what I currently have. I have seen Lucas Miller at Tenpines Bluff and later at another farm south and east (I forget its name) near Malden, and he was carrying different gear each time, so I am hoping that I can find someone, and soon. I am still in Boston; I haven't gone any further south than Diamond City.

Also, any good ammo dumps? All of my weapons are pretty much dry after I raided the Federal Ration Deposit. Even the Babi Yaga, my sniper rifle.

I've had resources hit zero many times with no problems, could be something in what you say though.
Before the game came out I read some where that settlers are limited to your stats, the maximum being 21. If this is true I don't know how I got 24.

Sweet, I'll have to be wary of that and time it all correctly. Don't want to save it having unwittingly accepted the BOS before finishing Minutemen.

After testing some HUD mods I found the one that I am looking for except for one thing. "Ormus Immersive UI" http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/141/?tab=2&navtag=http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/ajax/modfiles/?id=141&pUp=1 I use the HUD Less Mod in the optional files. This is the best No HUD mod out there as of now. The other No HUD mods removes everything even the discover, tags and quest messages that for me is game breaking. How will I know that I did something? Rely on sound prompt? And some of them made no sense at all. There will be an interaction window/name only if you're looting multiple items but if its a single item you will not see its name. There's also a mod that you can still see the interaction window/name of every items except workshops. Why? smh...(I'm talking about No HUD mods here) My only complain on this mod is you can still see the XP bar whenever you kill an enemy. It should be just whenever we level up we can see the notification. For me it made the game look arcady. But oh well. I can't even do Power points so thanks to the modders out there. L:lol:L

Because of this I need to rely on sounds but the sound in the game sucks. No depth etc. and the dogs don't even have footsteps sounds...Why??? We need A Sound of Fallout 4 or something to enhance the immersion and really enable stealth gameplay.

Might also have been a one time occurrence.

Sanctuary had been 15 for ever and another settlement got up to 18 settlers while I haven't visited it in ages and settlement stats were below par, so the game has a peculiar way of assigning settlers.
