Is this a bad joke ??? I preorder my wheel mid april, it was supposed to be there end of may, now it is mid july !!!

Order History
04/12/2012 Pending

On Fanatec.com

Forza Motorsport CSR Elite Wheel USA
[CSR E USA] $539.95
Pre-Order only! Next shipment arrives mid of July 2012.

That's exactly the reason why I would never ever pre-order something from Fanatec. As long as they have it in their warehouse it's fine. But there are a lot of negative examples out there in regard to pre-orders... 👎

I feel bad for you K_Soze.......I dont think I'm going to pre-order a CSW. Hopefully there are enough in the first round of production to meet the demands, so when they have them I can just buy it.

Since I cant play Forza 4 with a wheel anyway I think im going to sell my xbox and a combination of one of my guns & RC Cars. Ill hang on to my G27 for now until i actually have a CSW in my possession.

K_Soze..Fine pumpkin..have you carved it yourself ?

Yes, I bought a book with some decals, then I print one them and fix it on the pumpkin with toothpicks, then I used a knife and a drill.

It is not difficult with the decal, all you need is patience, and as you see, I am not very patient, I WANT MY WHEEL NOW !!!! :ouch:

I think if you wait for the CSW to be in stock permanently you can wait till after Christmas. Well I am afraid of it anyway. Though due to the higher price the threshold is higher for customers of course, which would dampen demand in comparison to a CSR E.

Hmmm, You really think soo? I was thinking yea demand will be less too because A: it cost so much $ and B: maybe A lot of people will not buy it at first until they get some good reviews and reliability tests.

But I think what your saying is there will not be a high count of units to be sold anyway?

The production capacity of Fanatec is rather limited compaired to companies like Logitech or Thrustmaster.

Half a year after the release of the CSR Elite, they still don't have units in stock.

I expect there will no CSW units available from stock delivery untill 2013, but i could be wrong.

I have no problem with waiting for something, I know Fanatec is a small company, but I want them to respect what they publish on fanatec.com.

I hope they will have a batch of Elite wheel end of may but as they are all already sold, the next wheels will be available mid-july.

I hope, I really hope...

I wouldn't be surprised if they put a hold on all wheels that have been produced, as we all know there were some issues with the belt slippage for example, I have a feeling Fanatec want to take the wheels apart a replace certain bearings or whatever to ensure what they are selling won't cause any more customer dissatisfaction.

I just find it hard to believe that the problems are that they can't keep up with production/demand. It's unfortunate, but in the end it's better to take the safe route and sell the wheels in bulletproof condition. Obviously pure speculation of course... I just don't get the point of running a business if you can't produce what you're selling. I wish them the best, I'd like to see Fanatec in stores in the future, would be a huge step in the marketing department.

Well, anyone want to buy an XBOX 360 or a Losi 8ight 2.0 to benefit the BK wants a CSW fund ?

No, you should buy and play to the next Spiderman video game (trying to find customers :) )

Actually they outsource production so there is no production capacity in usual sense. Also there is always shortage in launch of new product if no extra hands/robots are hired for the one specific occasion. (remember ps3, wii launch etc.)

I was one of the first CSR Elite owners and experienced the belt slipping and shaft play issues first hand.

My CSR Elite got replaced by one from the second batch since then i have experienced no more belt slipping and no shaft play. 👍

So i looks like they have that under controle.

Because the base is basically the same for the CSW, i'm pretty confident that the 'mechanical base issues' for the CSW are under controle.

I am happy. I will receive my wheel end of may. The shipping date on the fanatec.com is for next shipping !!! This makes my day !

I was trying to say, that before the waiting line is one for a CSW you can wait a long time. Although this is shorter then the waiting line for the CSR E I would expect as the price for the CSW is much higher. However this does not imply that the sales will be low per definition, but the expectancy for them to be slightly lower then the CSR E sales.

Hey did anyone see the link to Assetto Corsa's Nürburgring booth appearance that was posted in the PC & Console forum?

http://www.virtualr.net/assetto-corsa-nurburgring-revealed

Am I mistaken or is that not the CSW pictured?

Edit: Strange... within the last 5 minutes the "page not found" message pops up.

That is indeed the CSW with Formula rim, they got it from Thomas when he visited the studio. I wish I had that game at my disposal for testing. :)
