I wouldn't get my hopes up too soon, especially since Thomas already responded to this with an answer that spoke of many technical difficulties. I am sure more people will try to cover this (im)possibility in their review.

Never bet against the mod community. Look at the G25. It's pretty amazing how far they adapted it.

Damn you man...
You made me order a set of those "Arrow K" in black.
£68 on eBay store.

Look real nice but I will not be wanting to ruin the looks of any CSW rims.

I hope you will like them. :)
Me, I think I will continue to look for a glove I like best. Possibly one with a velcro strap on it since elastic bands tend to wear out rather quickly.

There is a reason why the CSW will be a pain in the ass to mod. I will make sure to cover in my review as to why. ;)

@video: That's what I did, except the interior cleaner. I did it again a bit later and now after it is nice and dry it looks good again. Got too worried. :)

Edit:
Now these BMW M gloves look nice with the BMW rim.

haha no problem :D
I actually havw those Arrow Kart K7 in red - Michael Schumacher style.
I bet you will be happy with them, they are great for simracing - especially the grip is now a lot more than without gloves and of course it also prevends any kind of sweat problems with the CSW rims ;)

I like my leather grip on turbo S wheel. I have sweaty hands and wearing gloves makes it even worse. Maybe I just wait for new rim options to come.

I use the towa ativegrip advance.

These gloves have excellent grip and feel they are ventilated at the back and only cost € 4,50 a pair. I use them at work too they are great:tup:

When the time comes I think I'll try these, £18

Good gloves are like good shoes I reckon.
You can pay a lot of money but comfort and fit is usually worth paying a bit more for.

Also well, me likes a bit of flash and those arrows in black have my cockpit colours. That's what pushed it for me. Not like me though to go "over the top" with anything, hee hee.

I'm looking forward to the free look option on the BMW rim.
I used to use a joypad stuck into a G25 for that in GT5P. Was nice to have analogue control on the wheel for this.

...

........How's the building going :)......Too much shopping and blogging

I was thinking the longer gloves might get hot after a bit, and I could be racing for hours at a time. The short one's would be a good compromise for when I get the CSW

Oh give me a break, can't do much till the spark comes and painting is sorted.
You can help me test the tactile etc soon. I can see you going PC route in the future too though specially having triples and a great wheel.

Not 64 Euros good. :scared:

Can you answer whenever the embargo is lifted , Is the BMW Logo on the GT Wheel more or less a stick on Decal or is it part of the center of the wheel?

Noted.

For the rest of you guys. Feel free to PM me a list of questions you would like answered and I will try to cover all of them in my review.

Also I think I will try making my own gloves. Bought my mom a great sowing machine so I am sure a couple of handmade gloves will be easy. :)

For me the interest is mainly in what "new" it offers regards settings, features and electronics.

Thomas mentioned last August about fixed shifters becoming available (like T500RS) that mount to the PRE drilled holes.

Are these only compatible with a future rim, say "Rally" or can the shifters from the BMW rim be removed for it to eventually allow stationary shifters if desired? Rims are removable okay we get that but can paddle shifters be swapped for fixed shifters for each wheel rim?

* I did consider these gloves....

Somebody should start a racing gloves topic, seems like there's a lot intrest in it and we can keep the topic clean :)

@Mr Latte, i like those gloves 👍

There should be a poll somewhere where people can put questions they want answered in the reviews. it would make the reviewers job easier knowing he has the chance to answer everyones questions. just a thought...

That sounds interesting, I'd be up for that!

Mmmmm not sure about PC gaming. I have been thinking about branching out from GT5. But the next step might be Forza.
Sorry for jumping off topic.

I had the same question a few week ago, and was wondering if anyone can make an adapter to have other brakes work with T500 on PS3, but apparently it's impossible. If you're interested you can jump back in the thread to page 289, and good man by the name of Amar gave quite a few specific reasons and links that explain it in more detail. :)

thanks m8

Since we discuss all things Fanatec here -Question:

Those of you who plan to buy the CSW are you planning on buying both rims @ the same time or are you only going to buy one and why?
I can only buy one and right now I'm leaning more towards the Formula Rim, because its layout works for open wheelers and also for many GT Cars.

Thoughts ?

I feel so tempted to give my thoughts... gah. Darn NDA.
I can talk about the difference on the T500 though. I always ended up using the F1 rim for open wheelers but the GT rim for all other cars. It's really a thing of direct steering (formula style rims) vs dampened direct steering (GT rim).

Personally I tend to drive more normal and GT cars then Formula cars. So if I had to opt for one or the other it would be the BMW rim. Plus with the added fact that if you want a Formula rim later the threshold is lower since it is the cheaper rim. In other words, it is easier to save up for.
Though if you play a lot of games like F1 2012 (will hopefully have native support) then of course this will be awkward with the big GT rim, plus the steering response is slower due to the bigger rim diameter.

Logi,

I have a question I think you can answer. GT5 just had an update that altered the force feedback for all supported wheels. Since you had csw before the update and the csw uses the logitech drivers, have you noticed any differences in the force feedback after the most recent update? Thanks.

I will buy both the F1 and BMW

Just wondering when

Feeling a little repetitive .... But think that we should get some better info
We are, after all, the customers ..... Will there be any pre-orders in may .. What do you think ..?

I'm split, I Dont play F1 2011 but I do drive the formula cars in pCARS.
I actually think the BMW GT wheel is a better design as it copies a great GT wheel layout. BUT if i only buy the GT wheel it makes driving any other formula style car very hard.
I was only considering the Formula Rim because when racing you rarely go over 360 degree lock, so having a full circled wheel isn't needed. In that sense the formula rim would work for any racing car, but driving a normal road car where you would have to move your hands for more than 360 lock would be improbable .
