Have bought a racing rig for 4500 euros and waiting for a CSW ... has no steering wheel today .. just wondering if there are no more on this board who would be eager to buy the steering wheel .. Is not that weird that you want to know when it will be available

But it was stupid of me to ask for more information .......

To be shut up in the future .. so I will not disturb any sensitive human being

Most of us have been waiting that long. Just patiently. You know fanatec has a shifter that was announced about 18 months ago right, still not out. Handbrake , yup still not out.
I knew about the shifter before I ordered my first wheel. The the th8 came out but fanatec shifter was teased again and said to be soon.that was last E3.
Look back to Jan. 2010 and all the people waiting on csp/gt2 wheels.
This is fanatec, this is IMO the worst aspect of being a fanatec customer.

I am sure when there us news it will be posted here as has always been done. Whether it be from Thomas himself or one of the positive contributors to this thread.

Your continually asking the same question on a daily basis, one day 6 hours apart, it gets old.

TL:DR
When news is available it will be posted here

I'm on vacation from June 1 to 17 .... Would like to pre-order the CSW in May .... I might not become a CSW owner this summer .... = (

Oh dear! A 17 day vacation and we are supposed to feel sorry for you not being able to buy your new toy first? :( thats sad, sniff sniff

Look on the bright side E3 is coming, were bound to get more on the functionality and learn new stuff or things that may have changed.

I would wish for once that they release a fully developed driver/firmware with the products launch, not after. No doubt Thomas has sent the main studios a CSW sometime ago and I hope (no I pray) that it will get full support and recognition within the community and the leading titles already optimised and fully functional.

This has to be the most important product to date in their range and buyers will be more critical of this if mistakes in the past have not been corrected.

No.....it's just annoying when people do come come here looking for info and hoping there is some when they see there's a new post only to be disappointed seeing the same few people asking the same "pre-order" question over and over again on a daily basis and whining about how long they have to wait for news. The CSW will be ready when it's ready......deal with it. If you've been around here for more than an hour you would know that once the CSW is available to order the news will break here within minutes of Thomas breaking such news on his blog.

That's an ironic statement.

Passion : this is what sim racing is for most of us, so when it is about getting stuff that will improve our experience, it is hard to wait :)

I am waiting for my first Fanatec wheel since mid april. More it comes close, harder it is to wait ! But I know I will enjoy receiving the mail, checking tracking number, etc... That is a part of the pleasure :)

Ahhhh, take a guess...

Dear God. It's very hard to sympathize when someone complains that much. And sorry if this is cruel, but I find this more funny than annoying.

Something tells me we will not see an ISR Fanatec special...lol.

@Whiners
There is nothing we can do about the wait. It is what it is. If you really want to be constructive, post something like "Fanatec should not reveal products before they are in the final phase of production."

I've gotten my shipment confirmation so if its two weeks from when we get our wheels it will be two weeks from Friday. So at least that positive.

@Everyone

I am surely going to try to follow E3. Any tips on where to get the best and earliest info coming from there?

The longer it takes to finish the website the more time us testers will have to weed out any flaws in the driver. There will be support from at least the sims pCARS, rF2, Asetto Corsa. And if I may believe amf7 then Codemasters has a CSW as well with the SDK. So I hope F1 2012 and Dirt 4 (not the arcade showdown) and other future will have full support for the CSW. With the minimum being the display and LEDs of course.
I have no clue what EA will do though nor any other developer or publisher. The more use by parties using the SDK the better at least.

I do think that with the ClubSport range my rig is/will be mostly complete, except for lack tactile. And I also think that it will be some time until there is an answer from the mainstream competitors (Logitech and Thrustmaster). So I think that even if the CSW is released within the vacation period, when you guys get back to order one the production process will be even further refined and so on as with every other product from any manufacturer. So waiting has its advantages and it won't be like a better product will come soon. Anyway, it is all up to the individual on what to do. However if I would be in the position as Eastmen then I would simply go enjoy my vacation without electronics and worry about that CSW later. The wait has been long already, so it doesn't really matter much anymore to wait longer. So yeah... "don't worry, be happy" and enjoy yourself in the meantime with all the goodness that summer brings. :)

We are all vigilantly holding you to that date now, no deviations will be accepted! hehe kiddin :)

My CSW ETA is Monday to Tuesday. But it does not matter because we (all testers) will be under embargo (can't say anything). Probably for at least 1-2 weeks.

If you can afford 4500 Euros for a rig you can afford a little bit to buy a used G25 temporarily.

Sorry,I just couldn't resist writing in Swedish.. :)

Btw, you were close to smörgåsbord

Big off-topic:
I know, one of my English teachers was from Sweden with which I discussed this. Maybe I should have written "smörgåsbord, flörgåsbord" then. The reason behind this is that my dad once went to Denmark on holiday. There a kid approached him with a soccer ball asking something like "is dat dien moe?" (which sounded and meant something in our local dialect (close to Low Saxon) "is that your mom?") with his mother doing the dishes behind him because they were camping. After which he repeatedly said "ja" meaning "yes" since he didn't know other language at the time, until he got sick of that and said the above line. After which the kid ran to his parents and they all laughed hard while my dad was annoyed and clueless. So the discussion was about what the heck was actually said since my teacher knew a little Danish.

Short on-topic:
Is there anyone with a Fanatec wheel that tried 2.06 yet? Any differences for you guys?

I have made some 'ring laps with the 2.06 and my G25, do not feel so much differences with 2.05 (wich was good). The game looks maybe a little bit better :)

Maybe improvements are more perceptible with a more precise/smooth wheel.

Well, guess I'm not getting a CSW.

Wife and I have a new baby on the way and I start medical school in Fall of 2013, that means neither of us will be working which means no income which means lots of student loans. We did the budget and pretty much we can't spend a dime. Even the income from our rental properties will just go to cover the mortgage on those houses and to pad the savings a little.

It was tough to even convince myself to keep my sim rig, but I've got so much invested in it and iRacing I might as well. So I'll be keeping the CSR-E wheel and buying some CSR-E pedals to get me by. I've still got all my other gear though, so should be fine.

Can't say I'm not disappointed right now, but here in about 8 or 9 years when I'm pulling $250k+ a year it will all be worth it. :)

Well, this isn't a baby thread, LOL. So I figured mentioning it in passing was sufficient. :)

If it was just the baby though, no big deal, I would still get it. But the combination of me getting out the military, starting med school, and basically living off of student loans and savings for the next 4 years is what is making the decision.

I'm counting myself lucky that my wife isn't making a big deal out of my racing rig, since that will likely be my only hobby I have while in school.

Not living in a cardboard box is soooooooo overrated! :P

Good luck on your journey buddy. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH to be young again with dreams. Sigh.
