Hi everyone, I seriously need to know if the ClubSport Pedals V2 and the ClubSport Wheel (Formula rim and GT rim) will be available before June 18 (it's very important). Because, if it's after... I can't have the ClubSport Wheel and Pedal set.

I have the money but I'm from Argentina :( :yuck: :grumpy: :banghead: , so... I will be in Europe from June 7 to June 18 (France and England).

Thank you very much, sorry for my bad english and ignorance

You're chances are very slim. There might a pre-order before that date, but the wheels will still be on the boat, so there is a very small chance that the wheel be be delivered before june 18, so you can take it with you.

It's a shame you can´t buy it on fanatec.de in their webshop, but how do you want to do it in europe? There aren't any shops that sell fanatec stuff.

Yes, I can buy it from Fanatec.de but if its available before June 18.
Here in Argentina there's a lot of corruption and we have one of the most corrupt customs 👎, so... I have to buy it when I go to Europe (from 7 to 18 of June), that's the problem... my ******* country.

You mean by charging major money for customs fees, or actual theft by customs workers?

Or you could just move to a less corrupt country alltogether... I hear the weather in Holland is nice, or Canada, heck come join us in the U.S. we'd love to have you!

My co-worker is from Argentina and he said the same thing. Sad.

The thing is Argentina is a very cosmopolitan country, we have an office there for our fuel traders. Really crazy how such a modern country can be so corrupt.

I don't think there's such a car- there's BMW M3 GT2 (ALMS), M3 GT (in the GT-E at last year's Le Mans and Nurburgring). This year BMW pulled out the M3 from everything except ALMS. The replacement car for FIA GT1 and GT3 series is the Z4. Of course, there's the DTM version of the M3.

If you mean the M3 GT, wait for Assetto Corsa that's coming out at the end of the year.

Speaking of GT3 in iRacing, soon there will be the McLaren MP4-12C GT3.

I meant M3 GT2, sorry. That is the rim the CSW BMW wheel emulates.

So will fanatec be making an E3 appearance?

From What I recall last year we learnt about the CSR E and CSW last year. Plus we saw some pics of the CSS and a working prototype of the CSH.

So hopefully we get a lot more info this year.

Edit: my 2000th post!!

Hi all, i am really excited about next wheel from fanatec: clubsport wheel.
why do we have to wait so long?
i ve been waiting since last year, they firstly announced csw in december then later in april (worst case)
now it s delayed for june, when exactly they will release it?
an accurated date

thank you

They want to do it right this time. No reliability issues and bugs.

We will see about that.

I'm only speculating, but I think that it is taking so long, because they seem to have a very little manufacturing capacity. They can't do very many things at the same time. At given time, preordering process seems to be delayed only because the website isn't finished.

Only Thomas knows what is really happening.

Guys its friggin holiday season. Programmers and others that aid in bringing the whole lot in working to you guys are also enjoy their much needed time off. We are not all robots you know. lol

Anyone see this?

How far fetched is smartphone or tablet as a tach at next years e3 mounted to a csr-e on Forza 5.

I fear MS will make it so that it only works with mobile devices running their Windows OS. At least in the first half year to a year that will be the case.
Also I believe the device should be directly connected to the xbox at that point unless there is a special wireless chip in there that can communicate via their proprietary xbox wireless system for input devices (Xinput). I mean as far as I know there is no data port or anything of the sort on the CSR Elite, so hooking your mobile devices to your CSR Elite won't happen. There will most likely be a stand though. And I think HoiHman (here on the forum) made a very nice stand on his rig. :)

It will work with ios and android. Admittedly they say they may limit functionality by platform but one can hope for ios support in Forza.

I don't see why you need a data port on a wheel obviously they are using wifi. You saw the Madden tech demo right?
SLI pro EMU on android works on wifi just fine.

Eh, I have just looked at the page but not read it. My bad and I have to apologize for making assumptions here, as an excuse though it's pretty late or early here where I live (4am ish now).

You are right they do say it is available via the "My Xbox" app on other platforms. Which you can deduct from that it communicates via WIFI since the other platforms are not likely to have dedicated Xbox communication hardware. I haven't seen any demo though nor do I have an android device so I never looked up any android related dashboard programs. I do have iHud on iOS though, but that's not for the Xbox.

Anyhow I think it is very nice of them to make such things possible and I am pretty sure there will be enough implementations of this. If T10 makes having dashboard, huds or telemetry possible for us, I really can't say but we can hope for sure.
I wonder when Sony will come with such a thing for their platform, but I highly doubt they will since they have been stripping the PS3 from features in the past few years instead of adding to them.

Update on the CSW on Thomas Blog:

Submitted by Thomas on Wed, 06/06/2012 - 16:28.
Next week the last of the community testers will receive their wheels so that the testing period can start. I wanted to give all testers at least 2 weeks for testing so that means that the embargo date of the Clubsport wheel and rims as well as the Clubsport Pedals V2 will end on June 29th at 13.00 German time.

By that time we also expect that the first shipments of production units arrive in the USA and EU by air shipment. We will make a special launch offer but I will release more information about that as soon as the wheels are on the way so it is 100% sure that they arrive in time.

Basically : Preorder by the end of the month, Special launch offer :) which is great

Sounds good to me. I think a bundle package at a discount is a smart idea. CSW+A rim of your choice+ CSPv2 for 10-15% off ($80-100).

Very exciting! The end of June is going to be expensive for me, the pre-order of the CSW (I hope they have an offer on just the base and one rim) and my local telephone exchange is getting fibre optic on the 30th! Which I will be upgrading too :).

Good news. :)
I hope everyone gets a nice offer. ;)

Also Rob, what are the speeds of that fibre connection? Just wondering as I use cable here in the Netherlands with 120/10Mbit.

About 78Mbit, however I'll get no where near that as I live afew miles away from my local exchange. UK standard broadband's maximum speed (down the old telephone wires) is between 20/24Mbit and I only get 5/6Mbit.

I think the fastest we can get here in the UK is around 120ish, and that's with Virgin, who, as I live down a dead end road, decided to bypass it completely!

Edit - I also hope that the 'offers' run date to date instead of just being limited to the first batch as I have a feeling I'll miss out on the first lot.

+1

I'm thinking / hoping : Launch Offer: CSW wheelbase + GT Rim + Formula Rim + CSP V2 for 999,-

That would be awseome, but I hope they also offer something for only 1 rim, or both rims with no pedals.

We are very close to release the new website and then we are finally able to start taking pre-orders for the CSW as well.

If you are interested to help us finding the last remaining bugs please just make a short post here and Marie will contact you with the log in data.

Thank you very much in advance!
