Crispy,
we are currently investigating a bug which shows a static spring. Can you please turn don "SPR" to 0 and see if that makes any difference?
It's worked for eliminating that. Weird that I haven't felt anything like that in Assetto Corsa though. Turning down SPR to 0 also eliminated the feeling of grip so I just turned it up to 30 or 40 for now.

oh good god !! :ouch: i forgot to extend my invite code and now it expired yesterday, arghhhh :banghead::banghead: :yuck: 🤬
can someone please help me with another EU invite code ??:bowdown:

I feel for you. It's an honest mistake, so I recommend pleading your case to Fanatec support. Hopefully they'll show some empathy.

I had ordered a CSS SQ just before the end of September. Then I (like all of us who pre-ordered one) had gotten the e-mail mentioning about what had happened to the factory in China. A very unfortunate circumstance for those who worked there. For us customers, it just means that we now have to wait longer for our order to arrive at our door.

The silver lining is that the shifter that was ordered is to be upgraded to the v1.5 model which is very nice.

Fanatec may be pricey, but they're worth it. 👍

My guess is that the wheel isn't selling as expected so they need to up the profits to get the books looking better. $25 on a thousand wheels can be the difference between turning a profit and losing money.

Right, it is a typical strategy to increase the price in order to increase demand ;)

We really cannot complain about a lack of demand. Otherwise we would have sent out more invites yet but we just started to send the second wave.

We actually have the opposite problem. We wanted to make sure that all our existing customers get the first chance to receive a CSW B V2 but at the moment it seems that all production which was planned so far is not enough to fulfill just the orders of the existing Fanatec customers. What a nice surprise for us :)

Thanks to all of you!

Good news for you Thomas! Do we have a better idea of when those who have already ordered the V2 wheel are likely to receive them?

So why the price jump? Gouging your customers because of the demand? Im not exactly sure what to think of your price hike if your sales are exceeding expectations. If it isn't price gouging what is the reason for the price hike.

my question is when are we going to see these Rims that give the console compatibility so i can get it preordered... last thing i want is a v2 to show up with no rim to put on it since already have v2 preordered. i mean yeah i can buy a rim and do pc with it but i'd rather have a rim that can do pc and console instead of spending $250-$400 on a rim that won't work on x1/ps4

It's simple Supply and Demand mechanics at work. If you have a product of limited availability and high demand, the price goes up. If you have a product of plentiful availability and low demand then he price goes down to entice more people. In this instance the original low price was to make it more attractive to owners of the previous model to upgrade.

So perhaps instead of looking at it as a price hike, it's best just to look at it as a discount reduction. It's still below full retail price

I guess that's one way to look at it. :indiff:

guys, i have received an US invite for the CSW v2, but I'm not going to use it. I'm willing to hand it over to someone that will make better use of it than me. I decided not to put it up on ebay, and I don't expect any compensation, but if the person who gets it offers me something, I wouldn't mind at all :)

Good point, do we know if the PS4 or Xbox one rims will work on a pc, or will they only work on the platform that they are made for,

Thomas ????

It is always a good new to hear that the only specialized simracer products manufacturer get success. I don't know if people realize that Fanatec is only on the sim devices market when Thrustmaster and Co are basically generalist game devices manufacturer.

(Yes I know that there are other hyper specialized manufacturers too but I can not put SimX and Co in the mass market category).

No Ps4 wheel rim news ?

If Sony sign a deal with Fanatec it would be a great day for driving enthusiasts out there!

I think Fanatec would be bombarded with Base and Wheel orders around the time Gran Turismo 7 is set for release and I only hope Fanatec is able to get part supply/manufacturing and assembly complete at a MUCH higher frequency, otherwise it's useless.

From the looks of things the CSW v2 & all the selectable add-ons look like a wonderful array of equipment that can only be considered an 'investment' to sim-racers out there. And I say investment ONLY if they run on and on with minimal issues for a solid 10 years. If good washing machines can last that length of time, so should this steering device machine. :D

I wish Fanatec the BEST! They deserve a victory here with some of that 'turbulence' they've experienced over the last couple years, and I think their complete CSW redesign shows that they knew they could do better and are serious about providing a top notch product.

SO SONY: Just do it. (yup, that's what Nike said)

i'd like it if you aren't planning on using it

@Fanatec
Any chance of us seeing a midlevel wheel for the PS4 in the future? Something along the lines of the GT3, GT2, and CSR in price and quality.

Fanatec FB

"Dear Fanatec have you any future plans to create any wheel set with clutch and shifter in 300-500€ range also console and PC compatibile? ...you know for people who don't have as much money for complete V2 set with rim and all."

Fanatec :

"Ján: Absolutely! This is our main target group and we are on it."
